Comments: Sandy Mc, The e-mail you reference regarding the original signers of our Declaration of Independence was very informative and impressive. I'm sure that most of what we read could have happened but I checked the authenticity of the article and found it to be one of those really neat essays that make a great point but is not based on factual information. The basic principle of the story is true. They did sacrifice to be prominent men in our history. Just not in the illustrious ways depicted in the article. Sorry. Pass the peach ice cream, please.
Comments: If you haven't read What happened to the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, google it and read it. What these 56 men gave up for our freedom. May God continue to Bless Our Great Nation and may we continue to stand up for our right to speak the name of our Lord God Almighty and praise Him publicly.
Comments: Wow! Sara and Sam, congratulations on your anniversary. ![]() Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th. I made homemade peach ice cream last night, sat out under some 80 year old pecan trees and enjoyed the night. It was wonderful. I can't remember the last time I did that. It's actually been nice outside all day. Just walked up to Walgreen's to get a can of Ajax. That's my exercise for the day. I exercised my mind at VS and Bath and Body earlier today. (I was figuring out how much I could spend) I was just thinking, if we ladies gave each other nicknames like the guys, we probably wouldn't be talking to each other. At least the Pool Guy still has his sense of humor. The 100 + weather hasn't burned it out of him. I do not want to go to work tomorrow. ![]() ![]() I feel bad saying that cause there are so many people that would give anything to go to work.
Comments: Sandy "Whistle Britches" McGee -- If you need any more Mexican workers, just drive by the corner of 8th Street and Marsalis. You'll find more help than you probably need.
Comments: Happy Birthday America!!! God Bless the men & women who have fought to keep us FREE & those who are still fighting today!! Be safe & enjoy friends & family along with some good food & cool beverages!
Comments: Happy 4th of July to everyone. How lucky we are to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I know it has remained that way because of all you guys that were brave enough to go to war and I want you to know that I am proud of each and every one of you. Everyone don't eat too much potato salad and try to stay cool. Take care.
Comments: Bay Watch, Botox Boy. I have had the pleasure of escorting 2 guests from Mexico the last several days. We have experienced the many ways Mexican engineering can be applied to a shovel. I have no doubt I have more moves in a trash can than you two can muster on a dance floor. As I recall both of you danced as though you were in a window at M.E. Moses.
Comments: Kid, Professor- Last word on the B/Fingers last sighted at the mall in front of the JC Penny's store window wearing a golf glove and wild looking shorts working on his MOON WALK

Comments: Hey Dale Smiley, I'm using the United Health Care blue golf ball holder, tee holder and divot repair tool...It comes in handy & fits on my bag perfectly..Budman, the last I heard from Butterfingers, as Dale said, he is in mourning for M. Jackson,,
Comments: Sammy & Sarah: HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY to 2 of my "goodest" friends. Ronney
Comments: Ronny, yes, Wayne and I are cousins on my Mother's side. He is a very nice guy, one of my favorites as are his parents. Wayne has done a massive amount of work on our family tree. Small world, indeed!
Comments: SNL - Please pass along my thanks to Gordy for the BBQ invite this weekend. But, we'll be over at Kathy's niece's house here in Austin doing about the same thing - brisket, turkey, j-sausage, beans, deviled eggs, plus my potato salad (let's cut the snickering, please). Oh yeah, lotsa margs & long-necks - well, it's hot out there. Y'all take good care, stay safe, enjoy the weekend & don't forget to take a few moments to remember why it's a national holiday!
Comments: H a p p y 40th A n n i v e r s a r y !!! to Sam & Sarah Smith, today! Sam said: “Met Sarah on a Sunday afternoon in 1967 at Griff's Burgers on Buckner Blvd in Pleasant Grove.” Congratulations, you two love-birds, hope you enjoy Surfside on this firecracker weekend & best wishes for many more!
Comments: Oops, I gave you a new name, Susan. I don't know how I typed Sunsan on the last posting. Sorry 'bout that. |
