Toni, I too did something I didn't think I would ever have the chance to do, While I was in California last week I went Hang gliding over city streets, through mountains and down rivers. I also went to Michael Jackson's memorial service.

We got a nice rain for about an hour last night . . . dropped the temps & it's cloudy this mrng!!!  Yea!!!!

Yesterday, I received a phone call from my daughter in Marrekech.  She had been there 2 hours and was uncontrollably crying as she was terrified and wanted me to put her on a plane out of there as soon as I possibly could.  She is with 2 other people there, but she was chased by a man with snakes across/over his neck and he had monkeys on leashes and she was nearly run over by a car.  She is leaving there today at 8:20 am our time (Marrekech is 6 hours ahead of us).  Please send prayers up for Ryan and that she can leave there safely and get back to Madrid.  Her cell phone won't work there and she failed to contact her credit card about her "moving about" and it was cut-off.  She had to use a phone in the hotel to call me as there was not a phone in her hotel room and she said that there were no locks on the doors and this is suppose to be a 5 star hotel.  A parent's worst nightmare.

Marshall Jack - Pls let me know if you're unable to find any paper 'sacks' - I found Kathy's stash of extra large mall shopping bags, equipped w/double handles.  If all else fails, you may have to raid a nearby pasture as a last resort for 'ammo'.  As hot as it's been, they'd light quick & burn longer.

Now, if you'd rather swap targets & make a house-call in The Woodlands, I'll donate Santa's 50-gal. gift bag with draw-string top & heavy duty shoulder straps - your call.

just finished 25 pages of catching up, so here goes - Happy belated birthday/anniversary to everyone who celebrated a birthday/anniversary since June 20th (the last time I contributed to GB).  Congratulations on all the new grandones - they are so precious!  "Keep on keeping on" to each of you dealing with medical issues.  My deepest condolences go out to the families who have suffered the loss of loved ones.

Sorry we missed Gordy's party.  I know it was outstanding as always!  We've been in Yuma, AZ for a little R&R.  Had a wonderful trip.  You all don't know hot but being in the Colorado River did help!  I got to experience something I thought I'd never do - I rode a waverunner on the Colorado River! Whoo-hoo!

I've really missed you guys - like SNL said, "have I told you lately that I love you guys?"

Everyone stay cool....relief is in sight!

Jack, I thought the Eisemann Center was very nice. It is so much closer and more accessible than going to the Dallas Music Hall at least for me. The sound was at least as good if not better than the Music Hall. The two actors who perform all the parts in the play speak loud enough but some lines are lost when the audience laughs over them. The parking was $4 if you didn't valet park. Leaving was much easier than the Music Hall also which becomes very congested. I would definitely recommend "Tuna Does Vegas" to anyone. Last day is this Sunday.

Jack, I'm just reading the past few pages and it seems the @#@$ has hit the fan between you & KMD...and flaming at that.  And just to confirm, Rick did not expose me to his family...and I didn't expose myself to them....I''m just sayin'.

Mary Ann & I are still mourning over Michael, as I know Tommy Barr is and many others. (hope you're doing well Barr.

Was this your first trip to the Eisenmann, KMD?? What was your impression? Could you hear OK? Is the parking still a premium?

Private note to Jack...although I had a different kind of flambe' in mind for my upcoming birthday, I will try to accommodate your request.

Tonight, I am getting an early birthday treat as Mike is taking me to see "Tuna Does Vegas" at the Eisenmann Center. Great Texas humor in the "Tuna" series of plays. If you haven't seen any of the previous plays, ("Greater Tuna", "A Tuna Christmas" and "Red, White and Tuna") you are missing some great laughs and maybe seeing some of the people you know depicted.

Rick, I got your email regarding David Drake of my class. As of 2008, he was not on our "missing list". We had him with an apt. address on Coit Rd. in Richardson.

I hope he is doing well.

Had a nice lunch w/Bobby Jones yesterday.  He went to C.O. & B.S. then his parents moved to the Kimball dist & he grad in '68.  A good friend of his frm sch is Sherry Edwards Reagan, she went to B.S. & then her parents moved to Highland Park dist.  Bobby remembers many of you on the football teams as he played in CO & BS.  Since his older sis, Joetta SOC '64, wasn't interested in any of it . . .  he gave me SOC football programs from the Fall of 1960 thru 1963. Also BS football programs, as well as many issues of The Storey Teller! Even issues of the Oak Cliff Tribune!  I think many of you BS grads frm 66 & 67 will have afield day with the pics & articles in them.  As soon as I can get a little bit of time I'm gng to scan several of those pics as they are of lot of our friends way back in Jr high.

Bobby was very generous as he only kept for himself the '68 related stuff & he gave Sherry all the things she was pictured in.  She was a cheerleader & apparently a straight A student & in everything as her pic was in nearly all of the Storey Tellers from her 9th grade yr.  I have memorabilia that is gng to make the class of 61 thru 67 very happy.  So, from the class of '66 "THANK YOU BOBBY JONES for being so thoughtful & sharing these treasures with us!!
