Comments: Sam, your prayer request popped up after I posted. I will certainly be praying for Shirley.
Comments: Happy belated birthday Annette. Hope you had a great day. Toni and Bruce, congratulations on your 4th anniversary. Hope you are having a wonderful cruise. John, you're nuts ![]() What a beautiful day today. The breeze was nice and cool. I would love more days like it. Is that just wishful thinking?
Comments: Those of you who may know Marvin "moon" Mullins and Shirley Morris Mullins, graduates of 1967, spent a few days with us at Surfside beach. We are asking for your prayers for Shirley. She was having stomach pains and went to the hospital about 2 months ago. One of the tests they took was a lipid and liver enzyme. Normal enzyme is 40-68. Shirley's was 800. Two thirds of her liver is non functional which has lead to pancreas and kidney problems as well. We appreciate your prayers for Shirley and the specialists that they will be able to control her enzyme level via medications. Thanks all, Sam and Sarah
Comments: Happy Birthday to our Waweenoc Friend, Annette. Happy Anniversary to Toni and Bruce. John, I would love to attend the "Burning Man Debacle" but as Tom T. Hall once almost said... "Who is gonna shoot them doves?"
Comments: Happy Birthday, Annette! and Happy Anniversary, Bruce and Toni! Has it really been four years already?!
Comments: KarenMD - how devastating it is to learn that after only 2 months the institution of marriage has squelched your earlier sense of adventure. Come with me (in Louton's RV) to the desert where we will Confess our Conformities and behold the spectacle that is Burning Man! [next year I shall lean on the Smileys to loan us 50 acres of their ranch on which to host the first ever "Burning Woman - Texas"][Bob Clifton has turned me down three times on using his Canton area peach orchard]
Comments: Happy birthday little "a"!!! Hope it was a great one 'cause you definitely deserve it. ![]() ![]() Happy anniversary to Toni and Bruce. Hopefully Shortcake didn't tag along on your celebration. Hey Shortcake, too bad we didn't know you were across the street when we went to the Eisemann. I doubt you would have shared any of those firemen however. JS, all I can say is you must be easily amused if you find the "Burning Man" entertaining. I think even Peter Pan would thumb his nose at that.
Comments: BELATED H a p p y 4th A n n i v e r s a r y !!! to Toni Rogers & Bruce Jones, married 7/18/2005 while enroute to Alaska aboard the cruise ship ‘Sapphire Princess’. Congratulations, you two, & best wishes for many more!
Comments: BELATED H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Annette Fortson Franjie, for yesterday, 7/18! Very sorry, Annette – did some odd jobs outside & around the house yesterday - saw the reminder late. Best wishes and hope Sid treated you to a great one!
Comments: This class has to help me on this one. We all have that one special family member that needs that extra help in life. We don't talk about it we just respond to his or hers special needs. Like making sure they never play with matches or guns and such, but someone needs to help me work with Butterfinger on this one. CLUNKERS for cash, the boy thinks he has hit it rich now. I know not to say much for his neighborhoods sake so I zip my lip as the Fingers clears out his front and back yard of CASH FOR CLUNKERS
Comments: Bay Watch Capps, you been out of the crib over a week. I did not realize you had a float in the Burning Man Festival. I thought your boat was for fishing. Were those nipple rings for real? You could use one as a ball marker next time we tee it up.
Comments: Linda-My Mother-in-law and sister-in-law was in Marrakesh early summer. This place is not a good place for a women to visit. And a young lady must have an escort. Any lady in pants will be exposed or should I say flashed by the male locals. If she wishes to wear shorts well that is even a bigger problem. Not much respect for women's rights even in the courts. I hope and pray the summer trip will end-up positive and will end in sweet dreams for a life time. Geo, my wife and her sister backed-packed in the 70's one summer there and Europe. I can tell even today it was a big pay-off of adventure.
Comments: This year I've abandoned my dream of Running With The Bulls and am now focusing on getting a group of us together to head to Nevada for the Burning Man event. Not much time to plan, since it runs from Aug. 31 to Sep. 7th. The final night is concluded with a HUGE fire in which the "burning man" effigy is ignited as the crowd goes ape (and puts their clothes back on). This year's theme is "Evolution". I know it is short notice, but KarenRL ... can I borrow your RV for a week? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYEBdlRLJhI
Comments: KMD-wish I had know you were at Tuna does Vegas-I was at the hotel across from it at a Fire Dept convention...would have come over to see you....we actually went to see the show on Thursday night. Whole place full of firemen. It was good. You could have come back to the hotel and joined us in the hospitality room after the show. Anyway it was good.
Comments: Linda - Great news! Hopefully she will stay put with the rest of the grp in Madrid & the rest of her stay will be less eventful. I know you're relieved! JD - Congrats on upcoming # 2! How 'bout a current pic of Jacob for the P&J pg!! Rick - If you don't like tuna, stay tuned. I hear the next event will be "Chicken Ranch A La Nevada". Uh, or maybe I have that confused with Chicken a la King or La Grange, TX? Never mind . . . |
