Comments: JD, rest assured that you and Kathy are in our prayers.
Comments: I want to congratulate all who have had birthdays, anniversaries or fantastic lab test results like Dane & Ada Ann. To those who remain on our prayer list, I continue to light candles at Mass every week...my priest says this class must be very close as he has never made so much money from one parish member. Our Military website was disrupted for probably close to a month. As I have been out of town so much over the last month I have not been able to access the web company and ascertain the problem until today. Not sure what happened but they assure me the problem has been corrected and will be back on line within the hour. Also as a note...the site has been a little unstable and the company is currently attempting to determine why...they say it is not me...so as bad as I am about doing things correctly when making changes...I'm glad to hear it was not me. Once we determine that the site is stable again and my changes will stay in place...I will start reconstructing the mishaps and get it back to near completion. If anyone needs to update their info please send to Don Lincoln first as his data bank is my first line of defense for lost data...this includes pictures. I too have been hit with a personal situation that has taken much time since I left Dallas early the day of our June get together. It appears, however, that life is beginning to stabilize since then and Kathy is firmly on the way to normalization. Sorry I missed the group in June and will try to make next year God willing.
Comments: Great news, Dane!! Hope everybody else will get the same good results soon. That would be a deal, John. I have always wanted to have a friend in high places
Comments: Got note from Dane & he wants everyone to know how very much he appreciates the prayers his SOC friends have sent on his behalf! His last chemo was yesterday, 8-26! He was told that his bloodwork shows the Leukemia to be GONE, but he goes next month for a CT scan & bone marrow test to confirm. Congratulations to Dane on a good fight & for winning the battle!
Comments: Hi Ellyce, I have missed seeing you at Lowe's. I didn't know you retired, I just thought you weren't working when I was there. I guess you will start traveling now like Karen "shotrcake".
Comments: Watch your tone, Mr. Hawkins. Some day down the road you might develop a golf-related injury that requires a "panel" decision. As a former employee of Southwestern Life, Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Dallas), and Prudential (Houston), it is entirely possible that I may be called upon to sit on said panel.
Comments: Hi Ellyce and welcome!! So John, are you in the process of growing a small square mustache and applying for the job of death panel Czar??
Comments: After careful study and lengthy discussion with Smiley, I am of the opinion that the proposed healthcare "death panels" should be administered by the insurance industry rather than the government.
Comments: Hi Ellyce!! So nice to see you check-in here. You can tell Ricky Hi on this GB as he is a regular here. Jack Hawkins posts here too & Jerry Tillery cks in Gary Dagley mostly lerks . . . all our old Lisbon crowd! Stop by often to see what's going on & be sure to ck the EVENTS pg as we will have a Fall Get-Together in Oct or Nov. Would love to see you there!
