Comments: Hello, Ellyce! Just looked through a few days worth of GB postings and saw you left a message. So glad to hear from you. I don't think I have seen you since graduation. I hope you will make your way to one of our get-togethers and reunions. Would love to see you again.
Comments: Hi, Bobby B. Katie does not live far from us at all. She lives in a bedroom on the front of our house. We live in a bedroom at the back of our house. We are only moments away from one another. Yes, she and Brandon are still a "couple." She plans to go to Belton to see him next weekend. He is about halfway through firefighting school right now. Showed your picture (from the guestbook) to Brandon's dad, Perry, a few weeks ago. Perry and his wife are hoping Brandon will "pop the question" to Katie soon. They want Katie as a daughter-in-law SOOOOOOOO bad. They are crazy about her. We are hoping Brandon will propose soon, too.
Comments: Dru and I would like to add our best wishes to the Smileys on this special day. Yuvonne is obviously a woman of boundless patience. Dale, on eBay I ordered you one of those "foil hats" you wanted but it hasn't arrived in time to present it as an anniversary gift. Hopefully, it will shield you from adverse spousal brain waves as demonstrated in this 2005 presentation: http://people.consolidated.net/swsw/toon2.htm
Comments: Happy Anniversary Dale and Yuvonne. Seems like just yesterday we were placing bets on wither are not you'd be together till the prom! Guess you showed us!!! Don, the only way to contact Shortcake may be through her travel agent. Who knows what "state" she's in now!
Comments: From The Office I spent a very interesting period visiting in the office where I learned many things about our school, from the ticking of the big clock on the wall, the bells ringing automatically, to the operation of the complex Public address equipment which I found very versatile. It plays records, has a radio attachment, has the part over which one room can be contacted, or all rooms simultaneously,- and over which any room can be tuned in to hear. " What is going on there?" We learned that this is Mr. Coley's fifth year at Clara Oliver, and every one of the 940 pupils join me in hoping that Mr. Coley will be here many, many more years. Keeping track of all these pupils and the 29 teachers and nurse is the big job that Mrs. Lee handles. We hope Mrs. Lee will continue to be our secretary for a long, long time, for we surely do like her friendly smile. Reporter Donald Lincoln December 21, 1959 Clara Oliver Rocket
Comments: That's fantastic news about Dane! JD, I'm so glad to know Kathy is also better. I will certainly be in prayer for you guys; also for Bob B.'s Mom and sister and all the other classmates in need of prayer. Happy Anniversary to Dale and Yvonne! It's so touching that Yvonne has stayed faithfully by Dale's side since he obviously is suffering from Alzheimer's if he remembers gloating over the 3rd grade spelling bee (unless, of course, he considers 2nd place something to gloat over). Don L., like you I had Slatten in first, Berry in 2nd, but I can't remember my third grade teacher. I had Mrs. Hasty in 4th and she always smelled really nice also.
Comments: Hello to Ellyce King. Didn't you live on Hortense or Addelaide towards the Glendale pool/park ?? Good to hear from you and welcome to the GBook. BLB - Seems like I had Wilkie, Berry, McNeese and Mrs Grimes. And, Sheryl, Mrs Rolater (?) or something like that sounds familiar.
Comments: Don L. , you had the very same teachers as me!!!....my 3rd grade teacher was Ms. Rolater. Perhaps she was your teacher as well? Do you or BLB remember her ?
Comments: Happy 39th anniversary Dale & Yuvonne!! Another successful SOC Love Match story!! Be extra good to each other this weekend & may you have many more wonderful yrs together!!
Comments: BLB - My Oliver teachers were Slatten, Berry, (?), Titus, McNeese & Grimes for 1st thru 6th - can't seem to recall who 3rd grade was - do you? KMD, DWS, somebody - help! Mrs. Titus, our 4th grade teacher, was a real stickler for handwriting & was one of those who could demonstrate beautifully on the chalkboard. I used to admire her choice of perfume - was that 'Tigress'? ![]() JD - I'd like to call you later this weekend, assuming you'll be home. I don't go to mass, but will light a candle & pray for you & Kathy - sincerely.
