Sally, you may want to recommend to the city of NYC they bring the Smiley's up there for a few days.  From what Dale says, Dead-eye Yuvonne will clear those critters out in no time.  By the way, those aren't the only vicious creatures in NYC; my last presentation to bankers clearly included an entire room full of jackals.

Sally, I was thinking about you & wondering if you are still walking to your job there at Columbia?  How do you manage during these bad winters??  Burrrr!  I see coyotes running across the fields when I drive to the grocery store & we have a family of hawks that stay on our street & sit in my tree all the time, BUT in NYC!!    Wonder how they got there & where they came from?

Toni - You gotta ck-in more often girl.  The roses were a few days ago, now we got candy hearts!    ther'll be a final one Sat.

KarenMD, your G-dtrs are beautiful & Luke is just so cute!  I've seen your dtr & she looks just like YOU & so does Kira!  Ya'll cd do one of those commercials where it shows 3 generations & asks "Do you know which is the G-mom, the mom & the dtr???"  I think it's an old Dove comm.

Happy Birthday Jedi Bob!!  Hope you and Eva had a great celebration.  JD, good to hear the update on Ryan.  Our little Hudson is progressing and is a little over 7 lbs. now!  Everyone is talking about liking the roses...I'm seeing little hearts which say We (heart) SOC!  Nice touch.  Who ordered this weather?  We had to break down and purchase an electric blanket!  Brrr!

Karen, what beautiful grandones you have!

Happy Birthday Bobby. Hope it was fun.

Sally, that's really unusual to see coyotes in NYC. I have seen them running across the road late at night, their pointy ears looking just like Wiley Coyote. There was a bobcat found basking by the backyard pool of a Plano resident last year that required animal services to capture and remove.

You think you live in a wild place.
Our doorman told me tonight  that we have raccoons in our courtyard ( in the back of the building)  AND a friend told me in the elevator that  there are hawks on the fire escape on the other side of the building  --we see a pair of doves but they are not dangerous but this is something else! . . . This is literally across the street  Look at this!

Bobby, happy birthday!  Also, I went to the vpike.com site and tried to find our house.  I don't remember the address, but I think it was 45 something.  What was your address?

Jack, that's quite the site you posted.  I found the owners have put some upgrades on our old house, but Charles Terry's house is literally boarded up....could be a bargain if anyone is interested.  Dr. John Baker's house looks ok as well.

Ladies and Gents, for those in the Dallas area, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce, for what, we understand, will be a very limited appearance, that bright, shining spot in the sky, THE SUN. While the Sun likes warming the earth, his favorite past time is placing a warm glow on skin and turning pasty white skin to a dark brown or even if you choose a bright RED. So if you have a chance today, show him some skin (no matter how brief) to encourage him to stick around or at least come back soon.

Happy Birthday Bobby!! Hope you drained the tub for the winter so you won't be tempted!!

Even though I haven't posted in a while, I always check the GB to see what is going on.  It is always good to see what is going on. Happy belated birthdays to those I have missed recently.  Also, congrats to the anniversaries.  Finally, good to read that the new ones all appear to be getting better.  After watching our son's twins last year  Joyce and I really do thank God for the expertise of those at the hospitals that take care of those little ones and get them over the hump and on their way to normal lives.

Jack, I checked out your link.  My old house is still there, but it appears that some changes have been made around it.  The chain link fence on the back yard has been replaced by wooden one and it appears that the grocery store may have been closed. Very interesting link, I may check out other locations in the old neighborhood.

S   L   O   W    day on the board....
Someone sent me the site www.vpike.com/  You can put in an address and it takes you there and you can do a 360 view and move up and down the street. I did the block where I grew up on and up and down Lancaster in front of Lisbon. Couldn't recognize anything but the school. I went down the side street and it looks like they added on to Lisbon where the swing sets used to be.
Jerry, I think your old house is completely gone.
While we know things change and nothing stays the same, it is amazing HOW MUCH they change.
JD, Lancaster Avenue Methodist Church (my Grandmother was a founding member) is now a funeral home.
