Got a late entry on the Snow View pics.  If you want to see David's view from Soutlake, take a peek at: http://soc1966.com/snowview.html

I can't get over how beautiful all the trees were!  God creates such breathtaking masterpieces!

Rickypoo - Those two sets of twins are so cute!  I do think all 4 favor you!

While I am concerned after learning about Dane's illness, I am very hopeful and positive that he will regain his health very soon. He has a lot of people praying for him and I wish him and his family the best.

Rick, loved the group photo of your 4 grandones. But they have good genes between you and Marilyn, so of course they are really cute.

Prayers going up for Dane and family.  I hope that he continues to improve.

Rick -- Your grandones are beautiful.  Thanks for sharing. They could be brothers and sister.  I looked at all the new grandone pics and they are all wonderfully happy faces and so pretty/handsome.

I know we're all concerned & worried abt Dane - that's understandable.  But we have to look at the good things in life at the same time, no matter how small.  *The sun is shinning & for the first time in a long time it's not going below freezing tonight!    *Everyone now has electricity, which means heat!    * We have 4 beautiful Grandones on the Pride & joy pg!  Notice in the album how Luke is right below Sophie & she's smiling down at him!!

So be thankful for the good things & pray for better health for our ill friends!

As prayers & best wishes continue for Dane & his family, I can't help but recall a little stunt that he pulled on us at the 25th.

We had a daytime mixer at a park near the Sheraton, where many of us had parked illegally because it was crowded.  After socializing for a short while, a motorcycle cop came roaring up & we were sure some of our cars would soon be ticketed or towed.

Then, Dane took of his helmet & shades, exposing his bald head, while laughing at all of us who thought the worst of the situation, because we hadn't recognized him.  He really got us, but good.

Reg: Dane Thornton -  I t/w Janet Hohhertz (his sis n law) & she sd Dane's resistance was low due to all the chemo. Then he got sick & they thought it was just something minor.  But within a day he was admitted to the hospital on 1-29 with pneumonia!  He was put in ICU!  He couldn't breath & they did a tracheotomy. He then got an infection & as of now - he is still in ICU!  He is not allowed visitors!  Remember, his wife Debbie is frm SOC '67 & is Janet's sister, so this SOC family needs our prayers.  Janet sd it's been a nightmare but he was able to breathe on his own for abt 40 min tda, so they have new hope he will improve.  Janet promised to call as soon as he gets out of ICU.  She will tell Debbie our grp is praying for him!

You're so welcome Sandy.  Our group can never thank YOU enough for your amazing work.  You've brought so much joy to all of us.

So heartbreaking to hear about Dane.  Our prayers are indeed with him.

Happy Big Bday to a great guy---JD!

So much love and joy to all the little ones that are so dear to all, and we're praying for them to thrive and survive.

You're so welcome Mr. Budman----don't let Mr. Jack disrespect y'all's sartorial skills just 'cause he shops for his threads at Pic N Save.

Loved all the snow pictures!  All we've got here is swamp critters, but our "Cajuns" and "Coon Ass" friends sure know how to enjoy life!

Dane, I am pulling for you.  I never knew you in high school, but I am looking forward to meeting you in June.  Remember that you are a member of my Kick A** Club and that gives you an extra boost.  Love you, Big Guy.

I want to inform our class of a prayer need. Dane Thornton is back in the hospital, in intensive care, and little info is available. Hospital is unknown, but I do know that visitors are not allowed. This is all I have at this time. Please be praying for him.

Thank all of you for the BD wishes...it was a wonderful day EXCEPT...I took half a day from work for a Dr. Appointment and some running around...and my first visit to the Social Security office...well Don I should have read your post first...as I'm sure all of you know it was closed.

I even looked through the glass door to see if anyone was there...then George, Abe and all the other Presidents tapped me on the shoulder...I got the message.

It really is bad to reach a pinnacle in your life yet be so stupid and uninformed! However, in my defense...Presidents Day has never been on the 15th...I always thought it was the 22nd...until I remembered that Congress passed the Monday Law for the 3 day weekends.

Take care and thanks again...BD's should happen every day...just not on a convoluted holiday.

Just a note...Ryan doing great and sends his love for your thoughts and prayers. Now 3 lbs and 6 oz.
