Got some great pics from KRL, & Linda do send me some of yours too. We talked about all our current situations... the good & the bad.  Friends are great, they hlep you forget the bad things!! Happy Monday!  Hope all is now on our new time schedule.  Boy, was it hard to get up and go to church yesterday; I was snoozing when the alarm went off.

Girls, I looked at the pictures I took Saturday and while I didn't take alot, they are pretty good; we still look foxy!  Had fun and the conversations were pretty diverse.  SNL, I'll try and get to you the pics in a timely manner.

Rudy and I worked in our back yard yesterday for about 4 hours; we were so pooped had to come in and take a nap; then couldn't go to sleep at the "new" time.  We did have a grilled hot dog outside and it sure tasted good.  Great day to be outdoors.

Don -- I'll be praying for your brother and his treatments.  I know that your family is concerned and hopefull that his treatment is a success.

Congratulations Miss Sandra.  Your status will now change to grandparent and you can join the grandparent club.  It's so much fun.  You'll probably be going out to California more often now.

Heard on the news that there are wild hogs rooting through Kiest Park. They said probably all the rain had driven them up from the low areas. Now what ever you do, DON'T TELL BOVIE. If he hears he is likely to quit his part time job and streak over to his old hunting grounds just to see if he can catch on or two. Question is if he can get his wingman to go with him or not. Be verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry quiet.
I don't remember if I ever mentioned how stupid I think daylight "savings" time is or not. I hate it. Why can't all you people who like it just get up an hour earlier and go about your day and let the rest of us get up with sunshine and go to bed with dark? And what ever happened to "just the summer months" they talked about when this started? Stupid Idea!!!

My brother, Doug, will begin several weeks of bone marrow & stem cell replacement cancer treatments on Mon., 3/15, at the VA medical center in San Antonio.  Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

I'll be at the VA medical center in Milwaukee Mon-Thu this coming week for IT project work.  Plan to catch dinner w/JD while there.

I'll ask Toni, Shortcake & SNL to make a few birthday & anniversary announcements while I'm gone.

Shortcake, how are you swimming with your bum leg.  Surely you didn't go out Saturday night.  I hope you"re feeling better and that it doesn't cause you too much pain.
How did you know I was cleaning out the garage?  I just cleaned out one side, mowed the yard and wash the car.  This was after church and lunch with Courtney.
Beautiful day...soaking up the vitamin D...
I stink!  I think I need a shower

Really did enjoy breakfast yesterday morning - pictures have now been forwarded to SNL (as of this morning).

So Elvis did sing to me last night...highlight was getting a Teddy Bear from him during his song.....of course Bobby was extremely excited about that since I collect Bears and only have hundreds at home!  You should have seen his face.  He was pretty good!

oh so enjoyed the breakfast and getting together with the prettiest bunch of hens I've ever seen!  What varied conversations we had...covered every topic one could imagine.  Glad that Sue could come.  Earlene you were missed!  I will never forget the look on Sandy McM's face when the waitress asked everyone in the restaurant to join in on the birthday song, and everyone sang to our newest Grandmother, Meemaw, Nana, Nanny, Granny to be!!  It just doesn't get any better than that...unless of course, we were sipping mimosas on the beach somewhere in Florida!!!!!  Right Kathy?!!  Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weekend.  Bruce and I are hanging it up for the day with a little glass/bottle of vino!

Sandy Mc.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Bruce was surprised to hear that you are just about to become a grandmother when he now has a great grandfather!!

It's such a delight to get together with the girls.  Everyone looked great!
Thanks, SNL for the over sized birthday cupcake. Very thoughtful.  And Toni for the funny, or not so funny card.  The happy birthday song....well, if I had known you would be singing I wouldn't have worn any blush.
The last few years I have really enjoyed my birthday.  As I mature (never) I realize how precious time is.  Things can change in a second.  What really counts; family, friends, health but most of all a relationship with my Heavenly Father.  I am blessed and I know it, and I appreciate it.
As we were talking today, jobs or lack of, was one of our topics.
We live in a completely different world than what we grew up in.
Our parents retired at decent age and were able to live a good life till the end.  We're wondering how we will make it to the end.  We're all in the situation.  Nothing is for sure. Enjoy your life!  Live one day at a time! and don't look back.
Please pray for our sweet Sue and her health.

Guess what?  I got a call from my daughter in California, Ashley.
Do you know what she told me?  that I'm going to be a Grandmother!!!!!!!!!  Woo hoo!!!!
