Place: LV, TX Comments: Ron Barker e-mailed this about a week or so ago, but I'm just getting around to sharing it. Appears SNL is the only other addressee I recognize in the heading, so here's the text only: "Subject: FEMA Funeral Assistance for COVID-19 All FEMA has announced federal funeral assistance for COVID-19 related deaths. They started accepting applications on 12 April 2021. Please see the attached document and the associated links. Also, feel free to share the attached information with others. It won’t bring back loved ones, but it can ease some of the financial expenses. Ron"
Place: LV, TX Comments: Fraid y'all got me tagged all wrong. No ding, dang, nabit, or whachamathingy's here. Pure 'ol Coastie talk, especially when working on my truck - X-rated w/tools & parts flying everywhere! ![]()
Place: Richardson Comments: Actually, I'm more of a dadgumit person. Occasionally a 4-letter word slips out but I've tried to expand them to "dang it" or 'dadgumit" since the triplets arrived. Monkey see, monkey do or monkey hear, monkey repeat!
Place: Edmond Comments: AA, now YOU bear a very noble name. The Dingdangits have been a key family since the founding of our country.
Place: NH Comments: I'm a dingdangit!
Place: Edmond Comments: I can certainly understand why Sandy shortened her name...from Sandy Norman Lynn Dagnagit.
Place: Edmond Comments: I never knew Don L and Sandy were twins, until I saw they are both Dagnagits. I thought all the Dagnagit kids went to Adamson. I remember Darla Dagnagit always wore a jacket that looked like it was made out of leopard skin. My...my...my.
Place: Richardson Comments: Don L. you can make all the jokes you want to, Don's heard it all from all our friends. And my brother, who Don rides with a lot, has given him plenty of suggestions!! If you can't laugh about your misfortunes . . . all that's left is crying and that does no good at all. However, I'm so sorry to learn of Kathy's bad back and subsequent surgeries. She can't catch a break. I hope she gets some relief soon. If I remember correctly, you had some really bad years dealing with your bad back. Maybe she caught it from you! Y'all take care of each other as that's what we're trying to do here.

New entry, first time announcement after noticing Larry’s retirement entry back on Feb. 27th.
Place: lazy S Ranch Comments: Don, I wouldn't have to be an Army doctor. It could be a regular doc.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Appreciate the offer, Dale. Guess I'm just not in that big a hurry to see the GI Dr.
Place: Lazy S Ranch Comments: Dagnagit, Don, we ain't that far from you and if you need a ride to a procedure Von and I would be happy to help. call if we can help in any way.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Catching up b'days ... H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Dane Thornton for Apr. 12th and Don Fugate for Apr. 20th!
Place: LV, TX Comments: Guess I'll take a pass on poking any more fun about the ills & spills at SNL's place - just wish all 3 of you peace, quiet & healing for at least a coupla weeks in a row! Kathy's had an ordeal with mobility ever since having her right knee replaced Nov. before last. Afterward, her right hip and lower back became progressively worse. Maybe they were deteriorated already from the bad knee, but she's been unable to walk much further than around the house. After multiple epidural steroid injections in her back, alternating with shots into bursa regions of her hip (once every 3 mos), she felt a little relief in her hip recently. Then, she had day surgery last week on her lower back to relieve arthritic areas and nerve pressure on 2 vertebrae. She's still pretty sore and movements are limited, but she stopped the Norco tabs after the 2nd day home (too much of a drunken stupor to function) and walking is still limited to indoors. Too early to tell about the overall results of the surgery. We're hoping she'll feel well enough to drive by next weekend when I'm scheduled for a much less painful procedure. If she's not ready, we'll postpone.
Place: Sachse Comments: Dagnagit SLN, you know we're just down the road, if you need something or to go somewhere or ANYTHING!! The phones work. |
