Jack, actually the story of how our place got the name " Lazy S Ranch" is very dull. When we bought the ranch there was already one of those metal cut out signs on the front gate that said " Lazy G Ranch " in 15 inch letters. I took my cutting torch and removed the G. Had a friend fashion an S (for Yuvonnes last name) and welded it in place. Then we checked to see if that could be our brand, only to find out there are lots of Lazy S ranches across Texas.

Sandy…I’m telling on Jack.  He egged 🍳 Dale on…not that Dale doesn’t have an “omelette” of his own making.  And I think of Von sitting there so sweet and innocent. I am shocked I tell you…shocked.

Paul - Don't encourage Dale.  I assure you, his S can get much worse. This is just the beginning. [eek]

When I heard that one of the Monkees band members, Davy Jones, had died, I couldn't accept it. Then I saw his face in the article. Now I'm a bereaver.

Empathy to all our classmates that had to “batten down.”   So far we have been fortunate in Edmond:  tornado and softball size hail around us but not AT us. Everybody stay safe as you can.

Due to the severe weather we had move thru DFW & especially south of I20, I wanted to give you an update.  Janie Jones Gann is OK, spent more than an hour in closet and had hail, high winds and lots of rain.  But she posted on FB she & her doggies are OK.  She lives in Waxahachie.   Also, I talked with Charles Moss who lives in Midlothian and he got some hail too and spent a few minutes in a closet.  He is OK.  Toni Rogers Jones posted a pic on FB of a funnel cloud in her neighborhood.  She & Bruce are OK but some scary moments for sure.

We're fine, the bad stuff went north & south of us.  No hail or high winds, just more rain.  I think some of the dirt is turning green from mildew!  Enough rain & dreary weather, let's have sunshine!

You probably don’t remember, Richard, but the Balderdashes and the Dagnagits had intense dislike for each other. One of the Balderdash girls dumped a Dagnagit boy and the fuse was lit. 🔥🤯

Well, balderdash, seems like lots of pain and agony going on.  Hate to hear this....especially that eye thing with SNL.  You folks take care.

Ron Barker e-mailed this about a week or so ago, but I'm just getting around to sharing it.  Appears SNL is the only other addressee I recognize in the heading, so here's the text only:

"Subject: FEMA Funeral Assistance for COVID-19

All

FEMA has announced federal funeral assistance for COVID-19 related deaths.  They started accepting applications on 12 April 2021.  Please see the attached document and the associated links.  Also, feel free to share the attached information with others.  It won’t bring back loved ones, but it can ease some of the financial expenses.

Ron"
