Place: Regarding Rick Mitchell's son Comments: Don, thank you for letting us know about Rick Mitchell's son passing away. Definitely will be prayers for Rick & his wife as burying your child is so very very hard. My heart goes out to them on this sad day.
Place: LV, TX Comments: I've been asked to post this sad note on behalf of Rick Mitchell. He contacted me just after noon today to say that his son, James Mitchell, passed away in Dallas this morning. James had been battling colon cancer for a while and there had been signs of improvement. However, as is often the case, the disease had spread to other parts of his body. There will be no service as James' remains are to be cremated. Rick and his family are devastated and, for now, request there be no calls or other inquiries. However, your prayers are certainly welcome.

Place: Richardson Comments: We're very excited today because we get 2 out of the 4 G-kids for the week! It's the 2 boys, who are now 16, and the 2 girls later in the summer. These 4 G-kids have so much going on it's hard to find a week in between practices for volleyball, cheerleading and football. And then there's church camp & a family vacation. We haven't seen any of them since 1-1-20. Looking forward to hugging them!
Place: Sunny in Richardson Comments: nice to hear from you Barbara! Yes, we lost a good man, Rocky Ramsey. Our class lost a good one too, Robert (Bob) Hook. Thank God for all the men and women who have fought and dies for our country. Remember those who didn't come home . . .
Place: Atlanta Comments: I remember Rocky Ramsey, one of my brother Bobby’s best friends, class of 65. Rocky was killed in Vietnam. I often thought of his parents over the years and the unfulfilled promise of that sweet young man. Saluting and honoring Rocky and all of those who died protecting and serving us. God bless their souls and grant peace to their loved ones.
Place: SYucky in Richardson Comments: I guess I'll just leave the smiling sun as the photo . . . maybe wishful thinking. I thought about changing it, but it's the only sun I'm seeing!!
Place: Soggy in Richardson Comments: We had a great time at the ball game yesterday!! Rangers swept the Astros with another win Sunday in 10 innings . . . 3-2! We got a little damp getting into the stadium but it was dry & good inside. The seats were real good & so was parking pass. We went to Tupinamba's at Walnut Hill & Hwy 75 afterwards. Remember the old Tupinamba's in Oak Cliff!? Well, that closed long time ago & this one opened about 3 yrs ago. Still good food! By time we left restaurant it was 8:00pm. First time for us to go out without ever putting on a mask. It was an odd and strange feeling. No mask at ball Field and no mask at Tupinamba's. It felt like FREEDOM! Will still wear one at grocery stores and Drs ofc, but for a day things felt normal.
Place: Soggy Richardson Comments: Yes, George & Laura Bush have season tickets and are regulars at the games. Thank goodness we now have a roof!! If not, I can't imagine how many games would have been postponed because of the rain.
Place: Soggy Carthage, TX Comments: Hi Carol and Sandy. Our son Jeff and his wife Stormi went with her folks to today’s game. Sounds like they thoroughly enjoyed it. Saw where George W. And Laura went also. |
