Ada, Karen is right!  The Arboretum is a wonderful place to spend Mother's Day.  I have spent many a Mother's Day there!  They also have a wonderful buffet, or you can opt for a picnic on the grounds if the Bishop Arts District doesn't work out.  Any place in the B.A.D. would be great but also noisy.    If you go to the Arboretum, please don't forget your most comfortable walking shoes!  A wheel chair would probably make Joe's mother's trip much more enjoyable - at least that worked for us with John's mother.  They may rent them.  Also don't forget your camera - there are many Kodak moments!  I would spend every Mother's Day there if I could convince my family.

Hey JAda, I don't know much about the Bishop Arts District but another activity that might be fun for your Mom is to visit the Dallas Arboretum. Also, maybe we should introduce her to my Dad who is a spry 92.

I need the names of some restaurants in the Bishop Arts District.  For Mothers' Day, we are going to tell Joe's Mom that we want to take her out to lunch when we come down in June.  Any other ideas of something fun to do with a 90 year old?

Great Ronney!!!  Glad we'll see ya'lls smiling faces on 6-5!!!

McGee - After more than 40 + yrs I thought you knew better!  Donnie is a sly one.  He can look you right in the eye & act innocent.  The only detentions I ever served at SOC was because of him!!  I learned early!

I have Don L's wild flower pics & they are breathtaking!!!  I will post them just as soon as I can.  Things are very hectic right now at work & home... too much to do with not enough time & everything at once.  Will be in Mosheim, TX all day Sun at the Gauer Family Reunion.   TGIF - ya'll have a good wkend!  Next week will be better.

Happy Jack Hawkins, observing Cable Guy Fugate play 18 holes of golf Wednesday, I am convinced the boy is lying to his wife. He pars no.1 and 2, then procedes to out drive Bay Watch Capps on no.3.
I"m convinced he quit his job in New Mexico, and is hustling on the muny courses. If he ask to play for a few bucks in June, I would hide my wallet.

Toni, your trip sounds great!  I'll bet it was beautiful in wine country!

Ronney and Connie, we'll miss you if you can't get to the mini, but understand that duty calls.

Susan, happy belated anniversary!  Glad to hear you're better!  Also glad to know that JD and Richard represented us in style in AZ!  JD, your grandones are so cute.  I also read about Donna Riley Pratley's accident on FB.  She also posted an xray showing a pin and other related metal work in her leg!!  Ouch!  Get well soon!

Well, SF was wonderful!  Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Golden Gate Bridge, Telegraph Hill, Alcatraz....was able to view a lot of it from atop the Mark Hopkins Hotel from the Top of the Mark Club!  I couldn't believe the streets were just as steep as they appear in all the pictures.  We visited many wineries in Sonoma and Napa but the wine tasting at the Rubicon Estate Winery (Coppola) was by far the best of the best! We were there early so the wine was more plentiful than later in the day!  We also visited the Sterling Wineries via gondola for another wine tasting!   So many wineries...so little time!  Can't wait to go back!!

Looking very unlikely that Connie and I will be able to attend the June get-together. Brooks Brothers is having a Friends and Family event that day, and they will most likely want all of us there. I will talk to my manager, though. I hate missing these. So much fun seeing everyone.

JD, your grandones are precious. Hopefully they will achieve your devilish good looks but Kathy's good sense. Glad to hear that you and Richard didn't have to do hard time following your visit to AZ.

Just got back from the Police State (AZ)...had a great time however.  I don't know how JD finds those greasy burger joints...pool table & all, but the burgers were great and JD bought the beer.

Actually, we went to the Phoenician Resort (I made the reservations).  What I didn't tell JD (true story) is Obama was there a few weeks ago and I asked for the table he used.  So JD's a** was sitting right where Obama had his a** a short time before.  Who knows, maybe some of that Barack charm will wear on JD right where it belongs.

We did learn that JD has one of the more charming wives on the planet....41 years married and she can still be charming.

Good grief Donna, were you trying to break the horse or just ride him??  That's a terrible fall.  Do hope you'll be able to get around (via crutches) soon.  Not bad enough the broken ribs, but the ankle break is serious!  Take care & I'll send up some prayers for full recovery!

Susan - we got the tile all up except that little bit around the edges of the window in that window box behind the sink.  But after 3 days we were worn out!  Unfortunately, we can't finish this weekend as Sun is my Gauer family reunion down in Crawford & Sat I need to prepare the food.  I promise, just as soon as we get it finished & the grout in it, I'll send you some pics.
