Comments: SNL that email shows up about every week or so...can't seem to spam it out. I first thought it was from Don L....he's always looking for some kind of support.
Comments: Why thank you, SNL. What a nice thing to say! If Richard doesn't still have his copy, I'll see if I still have mine and would be glad to send it to you. I have been meaning to ask you what you think of what they have done to your radio station, KLUV. They have decided we are not the target demographic their advertisers crave. Seems no more 50's music, no early 60's music and little late 60's. Mostly 70's stuff. Hall & Oats cover of Unchained Melody makes me change the radio every time. I was never a fan of the 70's music. It was the end of Rock & Roll and the start of metal noise. Leaves me looking for a radio station.
Comments: Richard /Jack - You two guys seems to be having a hard time simply emailing each other. In the interim . . . Richard could you send me the email about "bare lift bras" ? I don't think Jack is at that point yet, his are holding up pretty good!
Comments: Richard, I sent it again, It is a reply to your reply of the table saw demo, it that helps you find it. You are probably right Linda. But that is no excuse. When in doubt, ASK somebody who knows. Thanks for the kind words! They are appreciated.

Comments: That's great Earlene, looking forward to seeing you both! Looks like many of the out-of-towners are coming, going to be a good crowd. We don't get a chance for all of us to get together but once or twice a year... make the most of it!! Next time may be too late for someone you really wanted to see.

Comments: Jack -- probably the reporter that spoke about the VN Wall is young and wasn't involved or lived during the era. About 12 yrs. ago my daughter took a college class on the history of VietNam; her instructor was there during the war and he was still very bitter. Now that Americans realize that the troops were not at fault for the war or having to be there, it's an honorable thing to have served in VN. I guess this Rosenthal wanted to "jump" on that train and ride it. I'm glad that he was called out. No matter where/when our troops serve, we who aren't in the military should be proud of them.
Comments: Toni - If the tournament is all week, surely you don't have to be there for every game every day! That's what parents are for!
Comments: Sounds interesting, Toni. Richard, I DID reply to your email. Check your spam file in case it was directed there. I will resend it when I get home. From the paper's article, this is not the first time the AG has, at least, implied he served overseas. Maybe it will be enough to keep him from being elected.
Comments: OMG! Bruce has a new toy for his birthday...Golf Logix for his Blackberry! Jack, he is on his way to Firewheel to test it out! Also, he has another surprise to show you the next time you all go golfing! SNL, just learned that there is a baseball tournament the week before the mini. Hopefully it will be over before 6/5 but I doubt it!

Comments: Karen, you and Bobby have a great trip! Toni and Bruce aren't going with you? Only seems fair. Mike Dunn, you dog!!! That kind of stuff will kill you. Do whatever necessary to get your BP down. We will be praying for you. Yes, Linda, I saw that story. Funny, for a while after the war was over, some didn't admit being there because they didn't want the hassle. Then, after some time passed, those who didn't go, or even didn't serve at all, started claiming they had been there. I guess there will always be politicians who will say ANYTHING if they think it will get them a vote. Did you hear about the channel 4 reporter doing the story about the traveling VietNam Wall?? He said the purpose of the wall was so vets who lacked the courage to visit the Wall in Washington DC could see what it is like. WRONG!!!! How can anybody be that stupid and get on television??
Comments: So true Linda! That seems to be the catch all phrase now days, if you lie abt your military services or graduating from a college.... just say you "misspoke"! Guess Blumenthal is having a hard time distinguishing from the USA & VN!!! He's probably among the many who can't pick either of them out on a map!! |
