John; tell Dru we are thinking about her. If she gets pain pills like McGee has, there should be NO PROBLEM bringing her to the party on the 5th. McGee had his knee replaced back in February and he is STILL not sure where he is most of the time!! I understand that he had the U joint from a 66 Chevy installed instead of the standard replacement part. Told the doctor it would improve his golf game and his dancing ability. Give her a couple of pills, put her in the back seat and come on up!! She'll probably think we all came down to see her recover.

John S., let Dru know we all wish her a successful operation and speedy recovery. I think the answer you received from your magic 8 ball was probably in response to your poor grammar in asking the question. Perhaps you should ask it again using correct sentence structure this time. My English teacher, Olive Carter, would have been appalled.

Thanks for the sweet comments about Brooklyn!  Yes, little chubby cheeks is quite the model.  She doesn't seem to mind when her mom puts the outfits on her & takes pictures!  Stephanie's other big seller is wiener dog shirts!  She buys them & embroideries things like "stud muffin" (I kid you not), "I hunt Sooners" on a camouflage shirt & other cute sayings.  2 things people will always spend money on. .  . their kids & their pets!

I was so impressed with the Bluebonnets & Indian Paintbrushes.  Don, you did an excellent job in capturing the Hill Country theme!
For those of you who didn't see the note - - ck out the Bluebonnets pg!!

JS, I was so in hopes ya'll could make it up here for the 6-5 party.  Poor Dru, she's had the worst run of luck the past year or so.  Give her my best & let her know the "Group" will be thinking of her & wish her a speedy recovery.

KMD - Wow, Kira is graduating from HS!  Enjoy the event, but we will miss you!

Toni - I hope El Fenix is prepared for you & KRL, along with all the other Cinco DeMayo celebrators!!  Have a great time!!

SNL, Brooklyn's pictures are very cute!  Her mother is quit talented isn't she?  Karen MD, hope you and Mike can make any part of the mini in June.  Congrats to Kira!

Don L, you must be taking lessons from our resident photographer!  Wonderful pictures!

John Southworth, please tell Dru we will be thinking about her on June 1st!  Oh yes, and you too of course!  You take good care of her!

Ronney McKee.....have you been leaving baby snakes in my front yard??  I'm being visited by them AGAIN!  They are not welcome in my house!

SNL - what a precious baby Brooklyn is and she is modeling some awfully cute outfits.

Don -- Wish I was out there in the bluebonnets; you have a good eye for taking pics, especially bluebonnets.

Karen MD -- Congratulations on your granddaughter's graduation from h.s.  I know what a proud grandma you must be.

Well, if Linda and Mike and Karen aren't gonna be at the June 5 party then ....

Knees in The News: This just in ... spouse Dru will be having a total knee replacement operation (right knee) on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 1st. Hoping for hospital release by Friday, June 4th.

This morning I consulted my Magic 8-Ball and asked the question "Will me and Dru be at the party?". The answer came up "Outlook Not Good".

Dang, daddy!

By the way guys, Mike and I won't be able to come to the June get-together as planned because my olderst granddaughter Kira will be graduating from high school at 2 PM that day. There is a reception at her home afterward, but if it doesn't last too long, we will try to come for the last hour and go to dinner afterward as usual. It all depends on how long the festivities last. I can't believe I have a grandchild graduating this year.  Makes me feel old, but we couldn't be prouder of her.

SNL, the pics of Brooke are too precious for words. Loved them.
Don, I so enjoyed your bluebonnet photos. Any one of them would make a great screensaver on a computer. Thanks for sharing.
JAda, those coral flowers are Indian Paintbrush, and they are as abundant and beautiful and the bluebonnets.

Ada Ann -- Arboretum sounds wonderful; in Bishop Arts, there is Hattie's (white table cloths), Vera Cruz, Bolsa (loud).  There is a nice "fu fu" restaurant -- Cretia's on McKinney.  It's near Javier's.  You can eat indoors or outdoors and is a pretty restaurant.  They have vanilla cupcakes with white buttercream icing to die for.  The restaurant's main bakery is in Duncanville and they have lots of good desserts.

SNL -- I won't be at the mini this year, but will be in Rockport, TX.
