Place: Melissa TX. USA Comments: Oh no! How can this be true? I am simply devastated at the news of Richard’s passing. He was always such a gentleman. We had so much fun talking back and forth to each other. I will miss that so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to his girlls, his grand ones, Dennis and Ann DelRegno Hoose whom he had become quite smitten. What a tragic loss. Thank you Sandy for sharing this sad, sad news.
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: I never met Richard Nance in person but over the last 8 years or so have enjoyed joking with him on Facebook. This news of his sudden death is almost impossible to process. For once, I am without words.
Place: Our Friend Richard Comments: I know folks, I'm devastated and there won't be any sleep here tonight. I appreciate all of you holding off putting this on FB. Let's give his family some space & privacy. As I get more I'll post it here on our private site. His daughters will post when they are ready they don't won't anyone posting it on FB. Refer people here for info and ask they don't gossip about it on FB. His family and Ann are in shock. His daughters ask for privacy and NO FB Posts until they can get a handle on what's happened. Thank you for respecting their wishes.
Place: Whiskey Flats Comments: I am in such disbelief and saddened to hear about Richard. I don’t have words to express. Our banter was all in fun. He has such a wonderful family. My prayers are with the girls, gkids and all. Hold near the ones you love.
Place: Galveston Comments: Words are hard to come by just now. It’s so hard to lose a good friend and classmate. I can only imagine the horror and grief that his precious family and dear friend Ann experienced losing him in the midst of their weekend celebration. My prayers are for them to get through this heartbreaking time and to hold on to the sweet memories. I will miss my good friend.

Place: The Passing of Richard Nance Comments: It is with a broken heart and thru tears that I let you know our dear friend, Richard Nance, died today! His brother Dennis is here in Dallas and isn't sure just yet if it was a heart attack or what as it just happened a few hours ago. Please don't ask questions as we don't have answers right now. I, like many of you, am friends with Richard on FB so what I'm about to say is based on his posts. He was in Dallas last weekend to visit with Ann DelRegno Hoose for his 73rd B-day. She went back to Calif with him and he and his 2 dtrs and their husbands and his G-kids and Ann all caught the train yesterday and went to San Diego. Today Dennis called Jena, she called her sister Karen Hughes and Karen called me. I'm very upset. Karen promised to call me tomorrow with additional info which I will share with you. It's all very difficult right now as they are all in San Diego and this is totally unexpected! May God Bless and comfort Richard's family and Ann as they have to all be in shock as I am right now.
