HAPPY DAY . . .  Do a little dance. . .   Chuck & Nolan won the bid very late last night !!!!!  New owners of our Rangers are Chuck Greenberg & Nolan Ryan!!!

As for the GNO. . .  Got all the pics & will post tonight.  KMD, at first I wasn't going to post the "late night" photo at the Cactus Club.  But, too many people saw us close down the place & you know the pic is going to surface sooner or later.

The Old Brickyard Golf Course

605 North I-45   •   Ferris, TX 75125   •   (972) 842-8700

The BMF Project was started in memory of Brandon, who drowned at Lake Ray Hubbard November 29, 2008. It was conceived by Brandon's parents and brother, as a means to make the tragedy of losing a son and brother into something positive.

The BMF Project is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to raise funding and resources for search and rescue agencies to have the necessary technology, equipment, and training to effectively perform their jobs. We support not only the groups that worked so hard during the 29 days Brandon was missing, but the goal is to help as many Search and Rescue (SAR) organizations as possible in support of their efforts. Along with this, educating the public on the water safety and hazards that many are not aware and providing emotional support to families who go through a search and rescue event are functions of The BMF Project.

Last night's GNO was great fun. SNL, I just sent you the few photos I had. You can tell I didn't know how to use the camera on the iPhone very well. You may not want to post the one of us later in the evening when we all dressed up and painted the town. (wink, wink...)

Jack, I just have a little pay-as-you-go phone in case of emergencies.  When I got it, both my parents lived out of town so I was frequently on the road and my husband wanted me to have the phone in case I got stranded somewhere.  I've been trying to pay more attention to it, but honestly, I just don't want to be that connected.  (OK, no 'disconnected' jokes!)

It was a fun time last night wasn't it Susan!!  Enjoyed visiting with Ann Scott!  the anon pho call was so funny!  Shortcake wanted to call KMD & see where she was, so she asked Barb for the #.  She called it & left a lengthy VM msg.  THEN, Barb discovered it wasn't KMD's pho & she had no idea who it belonged to!      We were telling Shortcake she might be getting some anon pho calls of her own!!!  Glad it was your cell Susan.

I've been absent here for 2 days as I've been in the McKinney Court House on jury duty!  Went Monday & got picked for a jury!  Trial was over yesterday afternoon & I came dragging in to the GNO a little tired, but the laughter & fun perked me up!  KRL is leaving this mrng for Amarillo for a Fire Convention & then Bobby will join her & they're headed on to CO for a vac!!  Have a good trip!!!

I don't know which one is weirder, calling someone you are with or leaving your phone in the car!  That's got to be a sign of something. Of course, my good friend never takes his phone to lunch either.  I thought the whole purpose of cell phones was to have a way to communicate when you are away from land lines.

GNO ladies,
You are a wild and crazy bunch. Staying out till after 9:00pm. Reynolds Wrap, don't worry about the phone call to Susan. We all have had a "Night Out" where we got so drunk we called an old girl friend.

Just got back from the GNO tonight.  Had a great time with Barbara F, Karen RL, Karen MD, SNL, Kathy OA and first time GNOer, Ann Scott!  Sandra, we looked for you!  Good food and good times!

Hey Reynolds Wrap, you know that phone call you made?  It was to me!  I left my phone in my car and got the message when I left the restaurant!

Ronney,
I'm just thinking outside the box here, but maybe they should just put her in a cell with Mitch.

Smiley, I was worrying about you knowing that you were fretting so about L-Lo being in jail.  Hope you had your own little "coming out" party when they released her......released her to the rehab facility, that is.
Isn't it amazing how much coverage the media gave this silly incarceration? I say silly because if you or I were locked up in the pokey, TMZ would most likely NOT be covering our prison time like that.
As far as I am concerned, she should have remained in jail a little longer. What a waste. She really is a good actress. I hate to see her ruining her life.
Perhaps we should put her in a cell with Mel Gibson. What a show that would be.
