Susan, I danced on top of my Daddy's feet to Mitch Miller.  Probably sung too!  Good memories!!!  All of Mother and Daddy's records disappeared  their last move.
SNL, your grand kids are precious.
I'm not a grandmother yet, but soon to be in the fall.

Karen MD,congratulations on your early retirement!!  Enjoy all of those day-trips!!  I'm sorry that I cannot be present for the GNO as I am keeping my three grandsons.  My daughter-in-law's dad is having surgery at 6:30 PM...that's right PM.    Dale and Yuvonne, it would be great to have a bunch of people to go along.  Keep asking Shortcake and maybe she'll get the info for us.   I think she requested the info via snail-mail!

I just saw where Mitch Miller died.  He was 99.  Did anyone else but sing along with him?

Oh my!  When I stay away from the GB for too long it takes me an hour to catch up.  So sorry to hear about Jack and hope he is recovering.  Congrats to all on b-days, births, anniversaries, etc.
Looking forward to GNO...do we keep changing places because we are eliminating previous spots from our behaviour?  LOL

Smiley, don't even get me started on Lindsay Lohan and "celebrity justice". Charlie Sheen is another one - how does he continue to "negotiate" with the justice system? If it were you and I, we'd simply be shoved into the slammer to do our full time.

However, I am now reading that it is "typical" in Lohan's county for non-violent offenders to only serve 10% of their sentences (which would have been a mere 9 days for her). She served 13 and a fraction.

Grrrrrrr.

Of course ......as soon as I get the info this coming week I will post it and we can all decide if we want to go on a cruise and where.  That would really be a lot of fun......I know that I would really enjoy it!

Shortcake and Toni,
Can Von and I come play on your ship too? We will be good. We love to cruise. If you don't mind, when you decide where you are going please share the info. A SOC cruise would be fun.

Thanks guys (except Smiley of course..it's so sad how some people just can't accept defeat). Probably can't afford the RV (I sold them in the past and I know how much the upkeep costs are) but the cruises sound great since Mike is not a big fan of flying. Let me know more about the cruise you are considering. That sounds like fun.

Sandy Mc, I'm still not sure if you are actually a grandmother yet or just learned the sex and name of your expected grandone. Either way, congratulations to you, and you are going to love being a grandparent. Hope your son-in-law is well also.

Congratulations Tallcake!!!!  Now you guys need to get an RV and start traveling!!!!   Book some cruises and have a good time!  Don't give me the "I'm retired I can't afford it"  Just jump right in there and and have a good time.  We are looking at two different cruises for next year and will start paying and one of them soon after we get the info and talk to Toni about them.

Hey Smiley - nice spelling - sad thing is I understood it!!!!   My two daughter teachers would make me go back to school or just give up on me!!!!

Well it's official. They hired my replacement at work and so after a few hours of training him this morning, they let me begin my retirement starting at 2 pm today.  Yes, I am beside myself with joy. Anyone having my work email address, DON'T USE THAT ONE ANYMORE. Really looking forward to our upcoming GNO. SNL, who said they are coming?

Sam, your trip sounds wonderful. Hope to start doing some daytrips to interesting places with hubby Mike now that I can be off the same days as he. I know that Linda P. will have some great suggestions as she goes all over the place. Also looking forward to more Rangers games and of course COWBOYS games.

Sam - Been to Tahoe years ago and it is beautiful in the summer and the winter.  One year went there at Thanksgiving time and had the flu the entire trip and my daughter got the throwing-up in the floor flu/stomach virus; her father had to take her to a doc-in-the-box.  I got to look out our hotel window alot; it was still a wonderful place to be, although I'd rather been in my own bed.

Sandra -- Congrats on you having a grandson; little babies are wonderful and especially grandones.  Beware, my oldest granddaughter is 15 and beginning behind the wheel Monday; they live in Austin area, and her name is Emery (if anyone sees a driver in training car).
