Comments: H a p p y 40st A n n i v e r s a r y !!! to Yuvonne Fox & Dale Smiley, today! Notes say they were married in Dallas, TX, 1970. Despite all the potential hunting ‘accidents’ & ‘gift hats’ (with antlers), it’s good to see that you two lovebirds have survived another year. Major congrats & best wishes for many more!
I'll be seeing some of y'all at Vernon's in a few hrs.
Comments: Congratulations Richard & another G-kid!!!! Glad everything went well & will look frwd to some pics! I'm fixin' to head to the kitchen & whip up some dinner! Then wind down & enjoy the Ranger game!!
Comments: You guys are fixin' to git out & vote it seems. SNL, I got called on the "fixin" phrase in NYC a few years ago making a presentation to a bunch of bankers...I dropped it and a few others from my vocabulary . As far as accents on you folks, they seem quite strong when I get to Dallas, just because I don't hear it so much. I have no predictions on November other than the Repubs will pick up some steam...as opposed to letting it off. Probably a one term President though. I'm only mildly impressed with what he's done so far and expected more....no real complaints either. Congrats to Sandy & Sue Sue. Seems like there's something else?????? OH YEAH, I'M A GRANDFATHER AGAIN. Brooke had a girl last week in Phoenix (really hot there). At 6.5lbs we have Emmerson Rose Grubler. Photos to follow.
Comments: Geez JS, you really know how to shut down a GB! ![]() Don't know where everyone is, but look forward to seeing many of you tmo at Vernon's!!!! ![]()
Comments: Susan, my theory is that the Tea Party folks will show up at the polls to vote out the "incumbents" (in this case, Mr. Perry). They will fracture the Republican gubernatorial vote and in so doing, will allow Bill White to coast in by a narrow margin. Pretty boy Perry will then move further west in the Austin hills and continue his morning jogs and coyote shoots.
Comments: John, John, John! Is that planet you live on a lovely place to be?
Comments: A few posts back, Mr. Lincoln solicited some November election predictions. I haven't been following any specific congressional candidates, but I will go out on a limb and predict that Rick Perry will be hitting the road after November. The new state governor will likely be Bill White and I'll bet he settles for a much pared-down version of the governor's mansion. You heard it here first.
Comments: A late Happy Anniversary to Sandy and Sue - hope that ya'll had a really great day

Comments: Yeah, JD & RN or JH & JS - Let's have your predictions on the Nov. elections & why you feel that way. That'll break this touchy-feely cycle we've been stuck in for a while & let Tanya know we do have a 'dark side' lurking just beneath the surface.
Comments: Tanya - most of the time this grp is pretty good. A lot of talk about nuttin'. Many times I have no idea what the heck they are talking about! But we do tend to have fun! However, when they get totally out of control, I have to call in the Enforcer . . . Crazylady Henrie!!!!!!
Comments: Hey, Rod: You got two good looking Ol' West varments there. Know you're proud of 'em. Ronney
