Very sorry to hear about Eddie - prayers & condolences go out to his family. 

I tried contacting him a few yrs ago & followed up after not hearing anything.  Seems like Jack H. had located him & thought he might have some military service to share for the vets' roster, but never found out anything.

Bobby - Thanks for letting us all know about Eddie.  If you speak to the family, please let them know that if he had military service, I'd like to get his info later for the roster.

Bobby, we greatly appreciate this info about Eddie & the services for him.  We wouldn't have known if you hadn't let us know!! An odd quirk, Eddie will be buried on 10-10-10.

My best memories of Eddie Tankursley were Ms. Pyland's biology class!  He & I were partners in her class & got to do the "frog" project together.  He was a very nice guy & I hate he never got to attend any of our gatherings the last 8 or 9 yrs.  God Bless him & his dtr.

Eddie T will have a memorial service 3pm this coming Sunday.The service will be held at the Irving Church of Christ. The number there is 972-554-1962.His daughter, Sandra, prefers no flowers but donations that can be given for an organization that helps the homeless or an organization that helps stroke victims. I remember her as a baby and little girl.Just doesn't seem right. Susan...You next door, Larry and La Wanna Dunn across the street and Eddie and Mike Parrish down the street...felt I had it made!

Sudden Sam Smith, I just purchased a Titleist staff bag and need a golf towel. Got a extra pair of undies? One of those treasures would clean up my clubs very well.
Eddie T., old T.L. Marsalis bud, sat in the back row with Cable Guy Fugate and I. Good guy.

Jack may be able to elaborate more than me, but best I remember he told Jack he was on heavy medication due to a failing heart.  He'd had problems for some time.  That's why, as hard as Jack tried, he couldln't get much conversation out of him & he would go for long periods of time without responding.  He coud never get him to give us a mailing address.  I will look ea day for an obit and post as soon as I find one!

Such sad news. I met Eddie in the 7th grade. He was a great guy and a great friend. This really saddens me, as I know it does the rest of you. I hate to realize that he had been so sick for such a long time. I thank the Lord, though, that he is out of his suffering. He was WAY too young to die, as were all the other deceased members of our class.

O.K. Lets clear the air ( no pun intended) about my underwear.

How easy we forget that in college we all wore our one pair of underwear from first-fifteenth, turned them inside out and wore them from sixteenth - e.o.month. I just carried that into my marriage.

Does anyone know what Eddie's illness(s) was?  I got to know him because he was over at Bobby's house a lot and I lived next door to Bobby.  He was a sweet guy.  I may go to his service if I can find out when it is.

Rick - yes that wd be Eddie's dad that passed away in the 80's.  Susan you sly dog! Good work girl!!!  Yes, Eddie was living in either GP or Irving so wd be logical he was in a nursing home there.  I think it's too soon for obit, maybe tmo, or maybe not at all.  As most of you know, they cost a fortune & some people just don't put anything in the paper. I will keep monitoring it & if I can find one I will put link here on GB. 

Poor Eddie, he was very ill in 05 & 06 as Jack communicated with him via Classmates & email but he was too ill to do much & couldn't even think about coming to our reunion.  God Bless him & prayers to his family.

    SNL, I just Googled Eddie and found that he was in Ashford Hall Nursing Home in Irving.  I called them and they did confirm that he passed away yesterday.  Did you check the Irving paper?
