Comments: Bob, I did get the info. Aren't you Jedi Bob? I'm glad Karen and I went to the service. It turned out to be a good one. One guy (Mike Fall, graduated from Sunset in '68) told some funny stories about Eddie and how hard he was on cars and about how many girlfriends he had. The daughter we met was Sandra. She's very pretty and seems very sweet. About 4 or 5 years ago, Eddie began to have strokes, each one worse than the one before. Also he was diabetic and had the failing heart. Eddie gave instructions to be given at his service that to anyone he may have hurt, he was sorry. He'll be missed.
Comments: Well actually BLB - Susan and I were there - we were the only ones from SOC that showed up. Did not realize that he had three daughters and a son. We met one of the daughters - the others are in California.
Comments: Susan, Ronneyand SNL...tried to Email the particulars about Eddie but for some reason, it did not go through to ya'll, I am so sorry! Just not a computer person.I would have liked to have been there for Eddie and Sandra. My heart was there.
Comments: A special thanks to the BMF Project for another outstanding performance in entertaining. A short note; the 67ers are now back in control of bragging rights for the next year boys and girls. As usual Fingers didn't pay up. Fingers my boys will be knocking on your door pardner.
Comments: Not to mention any names Kathy Orr, but I seem to remember Barbara and I searching for you and your driver for what seemed to be hours
Comments: We would like to thank all of you that played golf and attended our dinner yesterday. What a beautiful day it was - made even more beautiful with the great group of folks there. We do hope all had a good time. With the money raised, we will be able to further our efforts to provide equipment and training to the wonderful people involved with search and rescue. Last year we were able to provide much needed equipment to 3 organizations. This year to date we have funded one training session to about 50 game wardens on the use of the underwater sonar equipment we donated. An expert from Illinois was brought down and gave a 2 day training session. We have another scheduled in November for some area fire departments and another in San Antonio in conjunction with another charity group who has a similar situation. Without the support of people like you we would not be able to do these things. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
Comments: SNL, so sorry to hear about Eddie. He was always such a sweet guy. What a great day for the BMF Project Golf Tournament! So glad that everyone had a great time and that it was such a success. Sorry we couldn't be there. Bruce goes back to work tomorrow and is feeling SO much better, and if we could just shake these allergy colds, we'd be ready to swing a few golf clubs ourselves! You know you've acquired entirely too much stuff when it takes 14 hours, two large moving vans and a moving crew to move a family of five. I know if my son and his family had only purchased half the things they now own, they'd be well on their way to being millionaires!! They moved from Plano to Frisco yesterday into a larger home - gotta have more room for the stuff! And I thought I owned more stuff than the law allowed. There ought to be a law against owning SO much stuff! Sam, were you a boy scout? The underwear merit badge was taught to many before it was banned from scouting!! Do you wear your merit badge on the inside or the outside?? I guess it would depend on what day of the month it might be!
Comments: How much fun can any one group have on a beautiful Saturday afternoon/evening at the golf course???? I wouldn't put money on that one. Can't remember when I have laughed so much and had so much fun on the golf course. Speedy was great fun to be teamed up with, only problem was Jack and Karen got lost!!
Comments: Cable Guy Fugate, we had a wonderful time yesterday at the BMF Golf Tourney. Under protest, the 66'ers lost by one stroke to the 67' Chumps. The official scorer was Blond and a graduate of A&M. I do recall Happy Jack Hawkins and his Blond cart driver (Karen M.) getting lost and not being seen for 5 hours.
Comments: Really had a great time at the golf tournament yesterday, raised a lot of money to help buy equipment for emergency responders. The food was great and the weather turned out great......I think we only had a couple of golfers that got lost!!! lol
Comments: Hope everyone has a great time at the BMF Golf tourney tmo!! We're headed out to Austin, actually they live in Driftwood, to visit the triplets & little sister Brooklyn. Triplets will be 6 on the 19th & we're taking them bicycles for their b-day!! Should be fun!!! ![]() Also, don't forget about our mini get-together on Saturday Oct 23rd. Comments: Last post for a while. I'm on leave thru next Fri. so we can attend to our home flooring project. We'll be moving a lot of stuff around & out of the house to make way for new porcelain tile, carpet, installers & plenty of mess. Hope to have it all put back together sometime next weekend. But for now, please hold routine e-mails til you hear otherwise - thanks!
