Not sure who noticed but Bob Snyder (Boys PE teacher) passed away on September. I never thought he was as young as he was but he was only 83 at the time of his death. Somehow, that is not sounding that old! How many teachers does that make now, Sandy?

Remembering 9/11. I got a call from John telling me to turn on the tv in the conference room. We were watching the first Tower up in flame and discussing what could have gone wrong to cause that plane to crash into the WTC. Then, before our eyes, we witnessed the second plane go into the second Tower. We both said at the same time, “this is a terroristic attack”! The rest is history. My employer was at home packing to leave on a flight that day to NYC for a weeklong vacation with law school friends. She argued with me that this wouldn’t prevent her flight!! Needless to say, that vaca was cancelled. Remembering all who perished and thinking of all their families and friends left to mourn. We will always remember.💔

Today is 20 yrs since the attack on the United States. I'm not going to post any of those pics, there's more than enough on TV & FB.  I know each of you will remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news and watched it unfold on TV. God Bless America & may we always remember those who lost their lives on 9-11.

Me: I was at Love Field gate 13 waiting for a 9:05 am flight to Tulsa.  At 8:40 they hadn't started board but lots of people were gathered at the TV on the wall.  It took a few minutes to soak in what was happening.  Then the announcement  .  .  .  All aircraft has been grounded due to a national emergency! No flights anywhere will take off today and until further notice.  Then she said Go Home and turn on your TVs.  There are no words to describe the pit in my stomach & the fear that was rising.  Where were you???

H a p p y  51st  A n n i v e r s a r y to Yuvonne Fox & Dale Smiley for Aug. 28th!   Notes say they were married in Dallas, TX, 1970.  Despite all the potential hunting ‘accidents’ due to gift hats with antlers, it’s good to see y'all survived another year, despite the ‘free-fire zone’ out there.

Talked with Susan Sunde again today and she sounded really good.  She is learning to walk again using that right leg and they've started teaching her how to use a walker.  She's hopeful in a few weeks she will be out of the wheelchair and totally on a walker.  Once she is proficient on the walker .  .  .  home is in sight!
