Toni, it's good to see you posting. I pray that Stephen will continue to improve each day. Praying for you and the family. SNL let us know about Donna's surgery. Praying it is successful. Comments: Sandy Mc....I really needed those chuckles...how funny! Don, I dusted off Dr. T's medicine bag of tricks and here's what I used to beat horrible back pain...(actually prescribed by my doctor)...stay away from citrus and any acidic foods...italian, mexican, etc. Anyone who knows me knows that was the hardest thing for me to do by giving up those foods for a while. While it may not cure you completely, it sure will offer you a little relief...it worked for me...that and getting a new way to get in and out of the bathtub! Don't anyone say a word or make any remarks about any visuals...I mean it! LOL A person in terrible back pain will resort to most anything if it will work!
Comments: McMakin - your a hoot!! When I was in Hstn last wk one of my long-time customers could hardly wait to tell me 3 of his favorite Cowboy jokes!!!  You gotta laugh to keep from crying! This is definitely one of those "we'll get 'em next yr" seasons!! Don, I feel your pain as I know what chronic back pain does to you!!  I've had to have numerous shots in my lower back twice to get relief. I do hope relief comes soon for you!
Comments: I appreciate all the b'day & well wishes. It was a good weekend - food, cake, cards, calls & e-mails - but, dancing will have to wait a while longer. I had a 2nd epidural injection this a.m. in my lower back & have been napping most of the day. It took a little of the sharp edge off, but hope for more improvement in a few days. Prayers continue for our friends & their loved ones who need our support - Ada's little Jeremiah, Toni's Stephen, Donna & her daughter, Jill. We are all very blessed to have the support of our network of classmates & better friends than we could've ever imagined - thank you all!  JS - The cake was Italian Cream; your slice was great. JD - I even tried sticking pins thru the Packers ballcap you gave me - it apparently backfired, badly. All else I can say about the 'Boys' - if the Red Cross knocks, Jerry had better let them in. Sandy McM - So, where are the jokes?

Comments: Nice to hear Ada Ann. Every little miracle is cause for celebration. May Jeremiah continue to improve as well as Stephen & Donnie's Mom. All are making small but encouraging progress. Keep up the SOC prayers for our friends!! I'll let ya'll know as soon as I hear from Donna Rexroat Holman's dtr,Jill, about her Mom's open heart surgery. Hopefully it will take place at the end of this wk.
Comments: Happy Birthday to Yuvonne and Don....hope you both had special days. Donna and Jill....we are praying. Toni, Hudson is adorable. Glad there is some positive news about Stephen....we need the miracles. Update of Jeremiah....he is continuing to improve, gain weight and breathe better on his own....thanks for the prayers for this little guy.
Comments: Toni this is wonderful news!! They may be small steps, but many small steps will get you where you're going! Seeing his children may be the best medicine, as your children can give you the strength to do things you never thought you were capable of doing! My thoughts & prayers will continue for Stephen & for you. Do keep us posted on his recovery. Love you!
Comments: SNL, thanks for posting Hudson's picture. He is the sweetest! I love all of my grandones but he just melts my heart daily. Thanks to everyone for your prayers for Stephen. I am almost afraid to say that there has been a break in Stephen's condition as it has been one step forward and two backward throughout this ordeal. Medical miracles have happened, and as a result Stephen was finally able to breathe on his own for a while. He was able to be awake for a while and visit with two of his children. The doctors were amazed that he accepted small amounts PT very well. He asked the doctors to have two sessions of PT per day. They were even able to stand him up with the help of a walker! Seeing his children gave him more encouragement. He is a fighter for sure. Since he has had some improvement, the doctors are trying to decide whether to move him to another room in the hospital or a long term care facility. Surprisingly enough, his wife was able to do the happy ("Pee") dance at the hospital yesterday when he finally produced a small amount after weeks and weeks of nothing. She shared the info with all us via text msg. while we were attending Brayden's baseball game, and we all cheered! We continue to be guardedly optimistic. Thanks again, everyone. Happy belated birthday to Yuvonne and Don. Hope you both enjoyed your special days. SNL, please let Donna know she and her dtr are also in our thoughts and prayers.
Comments: Happy Belated Birthday to Yvonne and Coasty Don. Yvonne, I hope you were treated to a special evening out. Don, I hope your back recovered sufficiently to allow you to party as well. Thanks so much for the terrific job you do keeping up with birthdays as you do. You're the best! Toni, loved the precious photo of Hudson. What a cute little guy! Please know that we are thinking about and praying for Stephen and his family continually. Donna, you likewise have our prayers for successful outcomes for both you and your daughter Jill. Stay strong and keep fighting because you are worth it.
Comments: JD - I've seen boys playing football in a sand lot play with more enthusiasm & effort than the Cowboys played with last night! Jerry just fired Wade Phillips!! Made Jason Garrett interim Coach as he searches for a new one. I can hardly watch them any more... it's just too sad.
Comments: The best to Toni and her and her stepson as well as Donna. I almost don't know what to say about your beloved COWBOYS...but they did not look good last night. I wanted the Packers to win...just not embarrass them...but I'm not so sure we did as your guys appeared to lay down. Sorry...hope all is well.
