Place: LV, TX Comments: Karen MD - I've also heard encouraging reports about results of the procedure. This is the only time I can recall looking forward to surgery.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Susan - The herniation is between the 3rd & 4th vertebrae, L3 & L4. Comparison of previous & current MRIs shows it began on the left side, but has wrapped around to the right. Doc says once the disc ruptures, the leaked material hardens, sort of like semi-dried caulk. That's what causes pressure on the spinal cord & surrounding nerves, resulting in shooting pain across butt cheeks, hips & down legs.
Place: Sachse Comments: Happy Birthday Mike and hope you have many more (birthday spankings, that is).  Don L, I have only heard good things so far from people who have had that procedure. I think you will be glad that you did it.
Place: Richardson Comments: About to shut it down for the weekend & go freshen up. Don & I are headed over to my brothers house to take he & Pam out to dinner for their 30th wedding annv!! We're taking them to Prego's on Greenville Ave. Still one of the best Italian places around!

Place: Richardson Comments: Goodness Don, that was interesting info on your upcoming surgery. Sorry you're having to resort to surgery to relieve your chronic back pain. This bear prayer warrior will be ready & waiting. Sure hope this does the trick & you'll be back to your mischievous self real soon!!
Place: LV, TX Comments: I've caved-in to the pain & given up on lower lumbar epidural steroid injections, as well as meds for relief. Saw my surgeon yesterday & scheduled a Discectomy for Wed. after next, Jan. 26th. Place: LV, TX Comments: Karen MD - Good to hear your dad is doing better. The 'prayer bears' will maintain their vigil for more improvement & being sent home soon. Ada - That's precisely why I run the air conditioner during the winter - 'spoonville' & beyond!

Place: 66erville Comments: Shortcake why don't you go visit JD??? It is probably warmer than Alaska and you can teach JD to talk Texan again and be a Cowboys fan. You can also put that fan of his, well you know... Oh, BTW, JD cold air is BAD for your lungs. Chills you from the inside out. I am always amazed at these "fitness weirdos" who run when it is cold out. You see many of them breathing through their mouths, sucking that cold air in. I'll stay in and run the obstacle course on the Wii.
Place: az Comments: Ada since it is going to be in the 70s this weekend, I brought my lovely bride out to AZ for us to celebrate. Sure beats the cold!
