Place: Garland Comments: Gosh JD - you are really such a great person - one year you leave your CC with us and now you are going to buy drinks at the reunion - you are really a great person!!!  Looks like I may have to have some knee surgery. Last year I fell and injured the left knee and the Dr. has tried everything to not do surgery but it is not working so I have to go back in next week and see what he wants to do now. 
Place: Carthage, TX Comments: Sandy, I hope you are right about the pain and he has had the back problem for quite a while. Time the old boy could get some easiness.
Place: Richardson Comments: Not yet Jim. His surgery was sometime tda, I doubt we'll hear anything from he or Kathy tda. Maybe Thur or Fri. Let's hope when he comes out of recovery & the drugs wear off, he won't have any back pain! He's really had bad back problems the last few yrs.

Place: 66erville Comments: JD, once again that Cheeshead "hat" is effecting your ability to think and reason. You pay ME the $1750.00, then you can come back to God's Country for a visit. Now if you want to, to use the President's term, "invest" a matching amount on a party....GO for it. It is VERY nice of you to buy all the drinks at the next mini or is that for the 45th Reunion?? Are you coming for both?? Sandy Mc, is your hotel booked for the bowl weekend??
Place: Richardson Comments: TNX to all for the prayers, they really were appreciated & obviously worked!! After a week & a half . . . I'm almost back to normal . . . abt 90%. I've gotten a little behind on the website but hope to get caught up soon. Now let's turn our full attention to Coasty Don L as he goes under the knife tda! Prayers for a 100% improvement for him & a speedy recovery.

Place: Calif. Comments: JD, I understand with this new, kinder Congress, your guy will be sharing the podium with Obama; arm in arm...maybe even holding his Que-cards. How long do you think this seating arrangement will last? As far as "stomaching" the speech...good to see you still keep an open mind.

BTW, as I recall, $1,750 didn't cover even half the tab when you first left your c/c behind the bar at the Omni. But, that's ancient history now. I hope to take you up on that drink offer sometime in the near future.

Place: Packerland 66 Comments: My dear friend Jack, if I decided to come down for the Game of the Century...I would certainly accept the $1,750.00 you are proposing that you guys would give me for blessing all of you with my presence...as for the game...I would love to use Bovie's house...with the $1,750 I could throw a great party for almost the number of people that attend the mini's...and all would be invited...but especially you...just so you could see a real team win the game! Before you get upset with my post...remember who has kept the big "O" from attending!!!!! BTW, if anyone is interested...and can stomach to listen and watch the BIG "O" tonight...my Congressman, Paul Ryan will be giving the rebuttal speech...listen carefully...he has some great ideas and will implement many if he gets half a chance. A Great Conservative Republican.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Thanks again, y'all. Yes, tomorrow morning I'll be very glad to be rid of what feels like stab wounds on both sides of my lower back, plus wrap-around sciatica nerve pain in my right hip & upper leg. I'm hobbling around like 'Chester' & cranky as 'Doc'! I've re-stocked our booze locker since the kids were here for the holidays. I think a bottle of Knob Creek bourbon & Sailor Jerry spiced rum ought to take care of post-op pain. Oh yeah, and Blue Bell Moo-llennium Crunch ice cream to help keep the fever down. 
Place: On the mend Comments: I knew Jack wouldn't be able to leave it alone for long!!  Yes, it's true, I haven't been able to talk since last Wed!!! But Don's been getting "the look" & oddly enough, he even understands hand signals!!  Tda, for first time, I've bn able to get a full sentence out with all the words audible. My back is gtng better too. I'm almost back to normal!! Yea!!!!!! Speaking of bad backs - - Don L, I hope your surgery tmo is 100% successful & you wake up without back pain!! |
