Place: 66erville Comments: Butterfingers, ice melted, you are a no show (again). Made a deposit on your front porch. Can't wait to see your new club set. Did you get the new Taylor-made or Calaway driver with your ill gotten gains?? You might consider a catapult to improve your drives and a pool cue for your putting.
Place: Frozen McKinney Comments: Happy Jack Hawkins, I've been at the mailbox waiting for my deposit check you should be forwarding. Must be delayed by the weather. I'll be there before the ice melts, I promise.
Place: DeSoto Comments: Cha, cha, ching, McGee$
Place: 66erville Comments: our hearts go out to Karen, Jimmie and Jana with your loss. And to John and Dru for theirs. There are no words. Spent the morning cleaning the 2 foot snow drift off the ice on the the driveway so the sun could work on the ice. Then cleaned the snow off the cars, meaning I got to clear the driveway again. As the ice melted, I cleaned the slush off the driveway so it wouldn't refreeze tonight. The whole time I kept thinking how wonderful it would be if I had a friend who had some kind of small front end loader, like a bobcat, who would come and make quick work out of this LONG task. You know the kind of friend who wouldn't mind that it is a long drive and burns gas to haul a bobcat around, say from McKinney to Carrollton, knowing that he would be HELPING a friend. A guy who would do ANYTHING for him. But no, nobody showed up. A cheep guy like that probably took his bobcat and cleaned driveways for a price. Probably made BIG money off other peoples misery. Probably will show up at the golf course in the spring with a new, expensive set of clubs, wedge and driver. The newest one that just came out. Oh well, it would have been nice to have a friend like that.
Place: Southern California Comments: Hey folks! Sorry it has been so long since I posted as well as seeing a few of you in Dallas. I have been working with my Mom as her condition has worsened and it definately keeps me moving around. I retired in November so I am trying to get used to not getting on a plane daily and flying somewhere stupid to work. Drastic change but I think I will make it work! Sorry to hear about all the snow you guys have been having as it is 75 here today and the guy was here cleaning the pool all morning getting it ready for the kids and grandkids this summer. BTW: we are plannign a family trip to Ireland this summer. Has anyone been there before and can you give me any pointers on where to go and what to see? Thanks for the birthday wishes a while back.
Place: DeSoto Comments: Ann, precious grandson! JD, looks like the Pittsburg Mardi Gra to me But then everyone "up there" must have permanent brain freeze.
Place: Texas Comments: Ann SH - What a beautiful baby Zachary is. Thanks for sharing.
Place: H-Town Comments: John and Dru, My heart goes out to you both with the tragic death of your wonderful daughter. This sorrow is so hard to imagine. God give you both strength, and good memories of her life.
Place: Garland Comments: JD - I like your song - that is really funny . I am so glad to hear the weather today is supposed to above freezing - maybe you will have a much better day today SNL. Everyone should be able to get out and have a really great time today. Having actually been part of the scene in Ft. Worth I know that they can put on a really great show when they put their mind to it.Have fun - it is a once in a life time opportunity - even with the problems.
Place: Packer Land USA Comments: SNL...I owe you for your help...and yes the little Packer Ditty says lots about Packer fans everywhere. As a small side note the Packers have as many as 15,000 fans that travel to every out of town game...and are considered one of the best traveling fan base in the entire NFL... So if you haven't seen or had the opportunity to listen to the Packer Song...go back a few posts and click on the link that SNL was so kind to help me with...it's great and fun to listen to and watch the pictures...try and count how many outfits have some form of our famous "Cheese Head" on their body...it's a riot. Take care everyone...
Place: Calif. Comments: John, there are no real words for this. I'm truly sorrow and will be thinking of you and your family.
Place: Sachse Comments: Ann, your little grandone Zachary is a real little charmer. Congratulations and thanks for sharing. I can't believe it is still snowing. I thought it was supposed to stop by noon. Somebody please tell the snow clouds we have already had our limit. Move on already!

Place: Richardson Comments: With being gone so much this week & all the ice & snow, I forgot to put up a new Grandone. We have a new cutie that's never appeared before. So take a break from looking out the window at the snow & ck out Ann Scott's new G-Baby!
Place: Snowy Richardson Comments: We had a good 4 -5 inches when got up this mrng & now abt ano inch has fallen. Unbelievable! Girls, Girls, I have no desire to be the manager or owner of a hotel. But I love the SB experience & wanted to be a part of it. It's bn tough getting to & fro but fun talking with all the visitors! Such a shame to have this unprecedented weather for so long & during SB week!! Just praying it will all melt tmo so everyone can get to the SB Sun. Houston is iced over & in the 20's! All my customers in Tulsa are experiencing a city wide shut down. They got tons of snow & everything is closed. Can't belive this storm has covered most of the US. Only a few states have escaped it! So much for Global Warming!!!
Place: Garland Comments: Know what you are talking about Sandy - used to be part owner and Director of Sales of the Quality Inn Downtown directly across from the Convention Center in Ft. Worth....it is fun for awhile but 24/7 you get really really tired. But glad you are getting to experience it SNL and also glad it is you!!!!! |
