Place: Texas Comments: JD -- Don't worry, we girls can handle it.
Place: Packerland USA Comments: SNL Please keep taking the meds...it's kinda nice when you agree with me and Mr Hawkings...LOL
Place: Confused??? Comments: OMG Jack, you're right!! It 's the Steelers not the Bears in the SB!! Man, this year just gets stranger . . . now I'm also agreeing w/You!
Place: 66erville Comments: ER, SNL, take some more meds and chase them with Johnnie Walker. Don't talk or type, just rest. The Packers have already beat the Bears. Next game is with Pittsburg! You know, that team Bradshaw played for.
Place: Back to the living! Comments: Sunday wl be 2 wks since I crashed & burned. By Sun I hope to be 100% agn. Back is good, but still having trouble gtng my voice bk! Well JD, somehow you manged to do it! Since my 'Boys aren't gng to be in the SB (that was determined early on) I've been rooting for your Pack since the playoffs!! I tend to agree with you ( ) If the Pack plays like it has during the playoffs, you shd whip those Bears!! Man, Jan 2011 is starting out crazy!! I get laryngitis, I'm rooting for the darn Packers & things in the DFW area are buzzing!!! The newspaper & TV are full of SB info & it's amazing the transformation our cities have undergone!! Unless we get a darn ice storm next Sun, I bet the SB will be back here again in 5 yrs!! I love it, the SB is one of my favorite sports events!
Place: Packerland USA Comments: My dear friend Mr. Hawkins...you have way to much time on your hands...but keep the e-mails coming...they are crazy funny and great!!! I need help, I've decided that Ms McMakin requires a complete weight lifting set so when she sees Eli again she will be able to lift him...wow has he grown! Now, McGoo, JH & BB nor Mr Capps are strong enough, even as a group, to deliver the set to McMakin...so Linda P. KMD, Shortcake and my dear friend Ms Toni...maybe even Susan Sunde can help...so I elicit your assistance as I know you guys are strong enough to bring the weight lifting set to McM...simply advise when you can do the work and I will advise where you can pick up the set...BTW, you will need to coordinate with McM to make sure she is home at the time of delivery!!! Thanks for your assistance in advance. Oh, BTW, Packers by 7...
Place: Richardson Comments: KMD-still praying for you Dad, good to hear from you! My back problems are diff frm Don's. Had MRI done & Dr says there are no bulging or protruding disc & everything is where it shd be! My problem (4 yrs ago & again now) is an inflamed root nerve. It's just below my waist & in the upper right hip. That inflamed nerve has been shooting pain into my back, hip & down into my right leg. She called it "Radiculopathy". Surgery won't cure it, as there's nothing to remove or fix. Best remedy . . . to get off my butt & start doing exercises to strengthen my core muscles. If my back muscles were stronger it would help hold things in place so the nerve wouldn't get inflamed. So, there you have it. I'm a pile of limp muscles with laryngitis!! But I've started my exercises & I'm hoping by tmo I'll have an audible voice! It's hard to keep Don in line with only hand gestures!!
Place: Sachse Comments: Sorry I'm a little behind in posting. Have spent a lot of time with Dad as he rehabs from his compressed vertebrae, displaced rib and bad left leg/knee. As we all know, it takes much longer to heal as we get older but he is making some progress. SNL, I'm so sorry you have had to deal with a bad back again. Great news about Don L.'s surgery and will pray he gets great results from it. SNL, is that a procedure that could benefit your situation? Love the new Pride and Joy photo of Sandra's first grandone. Sandra, when he visits in March, don't bother with 6 months clothing. Go straight to 12 months if you want them to fit him.
Place: New Grandone! Comments: We have a new G-one posted tda! Sandra McMakin is our newest Grandma & she's choppin' at the bit to get her hands on him. Hope she's been doing weight lifting exercises . . . if not, she may crumble to the floor when she attempts to lift him!
Place: Up date on Don Lincoln Comments: I heard from Don L. Got msg frm his Ipho. I'm gng to post it just like I got it. I see his sense of humor is still in tack! "Surgery apparently went well - 3" scar - home now - still groggy - burns like hell - walking laps really sucks - percoset helps - more later."
Place: Richardson Comments: Shortcake, ironically, tmo will be the Fireman's ball & 1 yr since you fell & hurt your knee at last yrs ceremony! I keep tellin' you, "Booze & stages don't mix!" You better go ahead & get that knee fixed NOW so you will be ready to kick up your heels at the reunion!! BTW, James Hawkins will be recognized as Paramedic of the Yr tmo night!! Let us know if/when you're having surgery!! ![]()
Place: Garland Comments: Gosh JD - you are really such a great person - one year you leave your CC with us and now you are going to buy drinks at the reunion - you are really a great person!!! Looks like I may have to have some knee surgery. Last year I fell and injured the left knee and the Dr. has tried everything to not do surgery but it is not working so I have to go back in next week and see what he wants to do now. ![]()
Place: Carthage, TX Comments: Sandy, I hope you are right about the pain and he has had the back problem for quite a while. Time the old boy could get some easiness.
Place: Richardson Comments: Not yet Jim. His surgery was sometime tda, I doubt we'll hear anything from he or Kathy tda. Maybe Thur or Fri. Let's hope when he comes out of recovery & the drugs wear off, he won't have any back pain! He's really had bad back problems the last few yrs.
Place: Don L Comments: Has anyone heard from Don and his surgery ?? |
