Don & I learned early-on that getting married on Valentin's Day would always be a problem when trying to celebrate with a quiet dinner!  It's impossible here in the DFW area & probably everywhere!  We started going out the night B4 so we could savor the food & talk w/o being rushed.  We started Sun off having a long breakfast w/ my bro & sis-n-law, then a few hours of shopping at an antique Mall & dinner at Prego's.

Last night we visited w/Donnie & Barb at the funeral home.  Nice to see so many of our friends there too.

I got only one thing to say . . .  Now I learn I have to share my Annv w/ JD!!!!!  Geez, could it get any worse, er, uh, ... I mean Could it get any better!!   Happy B-day you ol' Cheesehead!!

Life is good, but we need each others support.  We are all going thru some rough patches in our life, and SOC Friends are still the Best!.

A big birthday wish for JD and may your wish come true (as long as it's legal)  when you blow out the candles.

'Short-timer' Garoutte, for 2/15 (a little early, but wth)!  JD - I was thinking of sending you a rare gift - a pair of '2-point conversions' (.)(.)  - but they washed off the green paint after the Packers game - sorry.  Hope you have a great one anyway & looking forward to seeing you again in the near future - best wishes!

H a p p y  26th  n r s ay !!! to Sandy Norman Lynn & Don Broughton, who ‘tied the knot’ on this date at Wynn Chapel of Highland Park Church, Dallas, TX, in 1985.  Sandy & Don - Guess this means double-gift day at your place with Happy Valentines as well.  Hope you two have a wonderful anniversary celebration and best wishes for many more!

Sorry Susan,
I was slowly typing while you were posting. You are right about them looking better today, but of course, don't we all? They also sound at least as good as back when. A--mazing!

Oh, and Von says I should have mentioned today's festive occasion, so "Happy V.D."
and that reminds me,

Once I was fishing in Alaska. You know how those Eskimo people rub noses? One of my fishing buddies caught a pretty bad case of sniffulus.

Don and Barb,
We , too, will have your family at the top of our prayer list in the coming days. We are so saddened regarding your loss.
I suppose it's that ages and stages thing but it is still rough when we experience the loss of a parent. I know you know this but just lean a little heavier on the Lord and this too will pass.
Most of you have seen this but I just wanted to remind some of you how old you are getting:  http://www.flixxy.com/the-diamonds-little-darlin-1957-2004.htm

Just dropped by your Guestbook today and noticed the comments about Lajuana Stanfield.  She was in the class of '65 and is in our Den pictures that you can view by clicking "Old But Gold" at the top of that page. It takes you to our old website pictures (hope that makes sense!).  The last known address we have for Lajuana is in Bend, Oregon and her married name is West.

Happy Valentine Day to the Class of '66!  Stop to smell the roses and enjoy the chocolates!

Robert, Fran did graduate with us & we looked for her for our 40th.  We found a Calif address for that name & sent an invite.  The invite did not return but she never responded either.  We don't know if it was good or not & we still have no updates.  I'll send you her full name & what we have via Em, but you may need to do some searching bec I don't feel it was a good add.

Lajuana Stanfield???  I do remember that name.  But I have searched all 3 Dens & the previous reunion books & found nada!  she did not graduate with us as she is not listed on the official graduation list.  I have nothing to give you, sorry.  She may have gone to SOC a yr or so & not had a photo in the Den and then moved B4 we graduated?
