Place: LV, TX Comments: I am very sorry to hear of Tommy's sister's passing & pray for our Lord to bless his family with peace & comfort at this sad time. He & his mom have certainly had more than their fair share of health issues otherwise. Susan - I have only Tommy's e-mail & will send to you separately. I'll see if Tanya has an address. Ada - Who posted the FB note?
Place: FW Comments: Does anyone have an address for Tommy?
Place: NH Comments: copy of a FB post:
Place: Re: Jack Sanders Comments: You got that right Susan!!! the cement truck was speeding & ran a red light! This comes from police rpt, not Jack. Jack remembers nothing until few days later when he awoke in hospital. Everyone has said it was a miracle he was still alive when they cut him out of the crumpled jeep!! I do hope the atty can get enough to pay for his unpaid medical bills & the dental work he has to have due to the injury. One minute you're driving along minding your own business & not breaking any laws . . . the next minute a cement truck runs a red light & your life changes!!!
Place: FW Comments: I'm not one of those "sue-happy" people, but I hope gets a bunch of money from his lawsuit! He deserves it and needs it!
Place: Richardson Comments: Just t/w Jack Sanders at lunch. He's abt the same. Continues, per Dr orders, to take meds which make him want to do nothing but sit around & watch TV & sleep!! Neurologist sd he had traumatic brain injury & his brain needed to heal. That darn cement truck hit him so hard his brain rattled around in his head. The meds cause him to not remember things. He sd Dr is gng to start weening him off the meds beginning 3-14. He can't wait!! He won't be able to come to our next mini as 4-19 is his B-day & his 2 dtrs are giving him a little party on 4-16! He hopes that when he gets off the meds he will start feeling like his old self again. He actually likes getting cards & pho calls. He still lives at the same add in our Dir & has same pho #s. He & his wife are divorced. I'm going to send him a BD cards maybe a few of you could do the same. He needs to know we haven't forgotten him! And no, the law suit hasn't been settled & the totaled jeep is still sitting in his driveway! It will be 1 yr in June!
Place: Calif. Comments: Jack, Charles Terry & I used to mix the fizzies with those exploding rock candy things (can't recall the name) and put them in our mouths. It was a fairly disgusting reaction as I remember it.
Place: 66erville Comments: Didn't we have fizzies when we were kids?? They were a tablet you dropped in a glass of water and they fizzed, colored the water and flavored it too. Kinda like a flavored Alka Selizer. These "new" ones maybe the same ones found in a warehouse somewhere and recycled with a new use. Maybe they found out they were not safe to drink, but what the heck, it's bath water now. And if you put Elmo's name on it, it HAS to be OK. Sandy Mc, be sure not to take your Tickle me Elmo into your Elmo Fizzies bath. You might get a shock
Place: DeSoto Comments: Somebody get Jack some Fizzies.
Place: 66erville Comments: Toni; wouldn't a better idea be to put ONE color in the bath water and take the kid OUT when the water changes color??
Place: FW Comments: KMD, remember ... your earrings still fit!
Place: Richarson Comments: I can certainly relate to that KMD! But that's the point of planning early . . . we need to scour the antique stores, Goodwill or create something!! C'mon, this grp is way too talented. I expect to see some very creative & outstanding outfits!! And I'm sure some of you will make us laugh till our buttons pop!
Place: Sachse Comments: Thank you, Bovie. Hey SNL, I read the Reunion Invite on the Events page. Sounds like fun but also means I should probably add Absorbine Jr. to my grocery list as well. The only thing I could possibly have left from SOC Hop days that would still fit would be the socks.
Place: Wylie Comments: Karen MD...that is an amazing video of your Father,,What a special generation of strong AMERICANS..You must be very proud...THANKS to everyone for my Birthday wishes..Sincerely, Bovie
Place: Garland Comments: SNL, you can get Elmo Fizzies at CVS...that's where I got them. They come in a small plastic jar. Be sure to take the top off of them before checking out as I had to return the first purchase. Someone had tampered with the foil seal. I hear that Hudson is having a great bath times! Happy Jack, you may have started a new trend among us! Remember ladies - a yellow fizzie and a blue fizzie will turn the water green!! SNL, Hudson had his first haircut yesterday! |
