Hi!  Randall and I are so saddened to learn of these classmates -Rod and Jeanette and their health issues.  Very sad.  We have prayed for them and will continue.

Blessings,

Please know Jeannette is a very private person so you may be unaware of her health issues. She is in kidney & liver failure and is on hospice as of Nov.1, 2021. Her son has made the last few posts.  I felt she could use all the prayers she could get and that's why I'm posting this.  Just wanted her SOC friends to know and as her private health issues aren't posted on FB, again, she is a private person.  God Bless Jeannette and her family.

This is the kind of info that is so difficult to post.  Although many of you are on FB, some aren't.  I'm posting this on behalf of our friend, Rod Savage.

Rod has been given some devastating news.  He has cirrhosis of the liver and his liver is full of cancer.  There's nothing they can do and as of today they have given him approximately two months.  He spent 4 days in the hospital before receiving the diagnosis.  Please include him and his wife Linda and his precious family in your prayers.  This comes as a shock to him & his family & friends.  It's breaking my heart .  .  .  God Bless Rod and give him strength.

I just finished talking with Susan Sunde. She has graduated from wheelchair to walker & getting around pretty good. She was very upbeat and said her right leg/hip where she had the two surgeries is healing well.  But, now her left knee is giving her lots of trouble. Dr. told them other week that she now has bone on bone and will need a knee replacement!  Will deal with that next year!

Happy Thanksgiving all y'all! I hope it is a good one for everybody.
Don, thanks for keeping us updated and for all you do.
Happy birthday and happy anniversary to all those I missed.

If you are traveling, watch out for the crazies, and please don't be one.

The weather here is as crazy as ever!  Yesterday, today and Wed is in low to mid 70s!  Wed night cool front and high in the 50s for Thanksgiving.  Air / heat /air /heat!!!

If you're traveling this week, please watch out for the drunks and the idiots texting while driving!  Hope each of you will be able to enjoy time and shared food with family and/or friends, maybe both!  I'm thankful to be alive and still moving (albeit slower) and for each of you that have come into my life.  Y'all have made my life better by being in it. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Karen, glad to see y'all had a good times in spite of some of the restrictions.  Have a great Thanksgiving in S.S with your dtr & her family!

Hard to believe it's Fall and only a few days until Thanksgiving. However, my front yard doesn't lie.  Our huge Oak tree is shedding orange leaves like falling snow.  They continually flutter down all day!  Don and I are thankful we have been able to remain covid free during all this time.  But, we have remained very cautious and only people we've seen are my bro & SIL & their two grown children who are 30ish & single. But, we were all vaccinated early this year and now we've gotten boosters, so this Thanksgiving will be a really good celebration and enjoying their company.

Hope everyone is as well as can be expected and you will have a safe and warm Thanksgiving.

We are back from our cruise.  Lots of changes for now.  We had an exact time to be at the terminal and had to show proof of vaccination.  Had a green band to wear at all times.  Mask had to be worn unless you were eating or drinking.  Some places were off- limits if anyone in your party was not vaccinated (children).  Not as many shows.  Still fun.  We carried our luggage off the ship, went straight to what used to be customs.  They had ipads set up with facial recognitio, took maybe one minute and then out of the building.  Fifteen minutes max.  It was fun.
Back to reality and getting ready for Thanksgiving.  Will be in Sulphur Springs at oldest daughters house.  Looking forward to it.  Well except she is doing a turkey breast and I like dark meat!  [smile]

Don Lincoln - Your work on behalf of our Veterans is relentless and your video is as wonderful today as the day you first showed it at our 40th.  Thank you for sharing and helping all of us remember why we should be grateful.
