Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Hello all! I finally got caught up on the guestbook and wanted to thank all of you for your good wishes. And a special thank you to Sandy for keeping you all up to date on my situation. I am at home now, thank goodness. Having a little trouble with my left knee now, but we'll find out at the end of this month about the surgery. It's very sad that we are losing so many schoolmates. I just found out about Smokey on FB and now Jeannette and Rod. Sending prayers to their families. I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas with all your family and a Happy New Year!
Place: Jeannette Strickling's passing Comments: Thanks Ada Ann, I just went into FB and saw the post by her son. The post was made about 2 hrs ago and I'm saddened to say she has passed away. Prayers for her family as they lost the glue that brought them all together. She's now out of pain . . . . RIP Jeannette Stokey Strickling.
Place: NH Comments: According to Jeanette's son's post she have peacefully gone to her Heavenly home. RIP Jeanette
Place: Waller, TX Comments: Hi! Randall and I are so saddened to learn of these classmates -Rod and Jeanette and their health issues. Very sad. We have prayed for them and will continue. Blessings, Janice and Randall Sims
Place: Jeannette Stokey Strickland Comments: Please know Jeannette is a very private person so you may be unaware of her health issues. She is in kidney & liver failure and is on hospice as of Nov.1, 2021. Her son has made the last few posts. I felt she could use all the prayers she could get and that's why I'm posting this. Just wanted her SOC friends to know and as her private health issues aren't posted on FB, again, she is a private person. God Bless Jeannette and her family.
Place: Overland Park, Kansas Comments: I just read the sad news about Rod. I am so sorry. 🙏 for him and his family.
Place: Edmond Comments: 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Place: Richardson Comments: This is the kind of info that is so difficult to post. Although many of you are on FB, some aren't. I'm posting this on behalf of our friend, Rod Savage. Rod has been given some devastating news. He has cirrhosis of the liver and his liver is full of cancer. There's nothing they can do and as of today they have given him approximately two months. He spent 4 days in the hospital before receiving the diagnosis. Please include him and his wife Linda and his precious family in your prayers. This comes as a shock to him & his family & friends. It's breaking my heart . . . God Bless Rod and give him strength.
Place: Edmond Comments: 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 for Susan
Place: Richardson Comments: I just finished talking with Susan Sunde. She has graduated from wheelchair to walker & getting around pretty good. She was very upbeat and said her right leg/hip where she had the two surgeries is healing well. But, now her left knee is giving her lots of trouble. Dr. told them other week that she now has bone on bone and will need a knee replacement! Will deal with that next year!
Place: Sachse Comments: Happy Thanksgiving all y'all! I hope it is a good one for everybody. Don, thanks for keeping us updated and for all you do. Happy birthday and happy anniversary to all those I missed. If you are traveling, watch out for the crazies, and please don't be one.
Place: Richardson Comments: The weather here is as crazy as ever! Yesterday, today and Wed is in low to mid 70s! Wed night cool front and high in the 50s for Thanksgiving. Air / heat /air /heat!!! If you're traveling this week, please watch out for the drunks and the idiots texting while driving! Hope each of you will be able to enjoy time and shared food with family and/or friends, maybe both! I'm thankful to be alive and still moving (albeit slower) and for each of you that have come into my life. Y'all have made my life better by being in it. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Place: Waller, TX Comments: Hi, Friends! Don L: you did an excellent video of our class veterans. Awesome! Thank you! Wishing you each a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We all have a lot to be thankful for in many ways. Be Safe. Janice and Randall Sims |
