Place: Uvalde TX and Arlington TX Comments: It was a rough year but I survived Covid at my primary residence in Uvalde only to darn near freeze to death stranded at my Arlington home in February. Lost some family members and friends to illness. Then weβve been subjected to nonstop noncitizens trespassing at the rate of 65-100 a day at our Uvalde property. We confront many ourselves and hold them at gunpoint for Border Patrol, law enforcement and National Guard. Now thereβs a spike in the new Covid variant and inflation. In summary, we just thought 2020 was bad. Hey, but SOC won State in 5-A football and my Dallas Cowboys are playing better. In less than 7 hours I retire from my primary employment for a third retirement. I plan to do some revenue producing projects in 2022 and be a part of some touring rock and roll musicians. Iβm alive and my family is okay. The glass is more than half full. Happy New Year and good health to you all, and Prayers for those in need.
Place: Carrollton, Texas Comments: Happy New Year to all of you. Hope 2022 bring a better year for everyone.
Place: Richardson Comments: It's misty and yucky here as the final hours of 2021 run down. Seems appropriate, as 2021 has been a sad year for many SOCites and our class has lost some dear ones. I'd like to dedicate this GB page to our friends and classmates we've lost this year. In the order in which they passed away. Fred Meier, III 3-26-21 Richard Nance 7-4-2021 Jeannette Stokey Strickling 12-16-2021 Rod Savage 12-28-2021 May they be resting in peace and I will truly miss all of them. Salute to the class of 1966 and may we always be SOC Strong!
Place: Sachse Comments: RIP Rod. Gone too soon. I'll miss his postings. Paul, hang in there. You have a lot of people pulling (and praying) for you. Try and be a good boy and don't let your mouth get you in trouble.

Place: Richardson Comments: Update on Paul Scholte: He sent me em this morning after his cardiologist came to see him with results from procedure. He was able to partially open one of the blockages. The other one (100% blocked) will require special equipment which he will order. When it arrives, he will set up an outpatient appt to fix it. Paul's hoping to go home today or tomorrow. Prayers up for continued improvement so he can get back to kicking cancer's butt!
Place: Waller, TX Comments: Our condolences and sympathy to the Savage family. RIP Rod. Paul, praying for you to get well! Happy New Year to you all!!
Place: Rod Savage has passed away. Comments: I feel honored to have had two pho conversations with Rod after he got out of the hospital. He said he could make it a few weeks or maybe a few months. He went fast and it's heartbreaking to lose a great classmate. He had many friends on FB and I remember him as such a nice and kind person all thru Zumwalt and SOC. Thank you Rhonda for being so gracious to let us know here on our SOC site. Your dad was a good man and he will be missed so much. RIP Rod.
Place: Edmond Comments: My sincerest sympathy.
Place: Carthage, Texas Comments: This was on Rod Savageβs Facebook page from his Daughter Rhonda. Posted about 20 minutes ago. My heart is broken. My dad passed away last night. He is no longer in pain or suffering which I am very thankful for. Thank you for being my dad and choosing me to be your daughter. If you knew my dad and have a story or thought to share, we would love that.

Place: Paul Scholte needs our prayers Comments: As you may know Paul Scholte has been thru so much these last 2 and a half years battling a serious cancer. He's gone thru a complete stem cell transfusion, lost all immune defenses and had to start over with all the shots against diseases bec he had no immune system. He's been going thru chemo for more than 2 yrs and was getting close to being 100% cancer free. Suppose to undergo another chemo treatment Tuesday, but, Monday night he had a heart attack! Pretty bad, in hospital and will under test today & tomorrow. Please SOC Prayer Warriors, pray for Paul's recovery from heart attack and to get 100% cancer free soon! My prayers are going out now.
