Place: Fred Mieier has passed away Comments: Less than a week ago we posted about the passing of Jeannette Stokey Strickling. Today, I must post another sad announcement. I found out tonight that Fred Hulan Meier III has passed away. I received a Christmas card from Patty, his wife, letting me know he had passed away from colon cancer, which he had been battling for a number of years. Last time I saw them was at the 50th. Patty included the program from his services and he passed on March 26, 2021. He was buried at the DFW National Cemetery. He was in the army during Vietnam and retired from IBM after 39 yrs with them. Fred & Patty were such a nice couple and I'm very sad to learn of his passing but, grateful to Patty for letting me know. RIP Fred.
Place: Edmond Comments: Even though I made NO contribution to this epic win, I could not be more proud. What a great reminder for us 66ers of the great place we came from. My heart is still sitting on top of the trophy case. โค๏ธ๐ซ๐ |
