Happy New Year to All!
Praying for healing and health for our classmates every where. To Darlene M., Rod’s family - they are in our thoughts and Prayers in their loss.
Thankful we have you all in our lives. Great friends! And in 1966 I would never have imagined such closeness of us all.
Happy New Year!

Paul, you are welcome.  I do have a big heart for my SOC friends. And yes, we are learning that circumstances can change in the blink of an eye. I'm hoping things will be good enough we can all get together this yr and it will be wonderful!!!!  It will be like a big reunion! I can hardly wait!

Paul, are you home?  I hope you got out yesterday to go home.

Y’all are far more wonderful than I could ever hope for from a group of friends. Thank you…thank you…thank you for your prayers and well-wishes. Great seeing your note Carol. How can Jack possibly remember my mouth has gotten me into trouble more than once? I was praying hard for Rod and his family even though I knew the situation was dire. As we all understand, we are at the point where “life happens” and we are certainly experiencing our share. WHEN, not if, we are able to get together again, let’s all make a max effort to be there. This group is WAY TOO SPECIAL to let chances slip by, understanding that it may just not be possible for some. I would really like to see my co-66ers again. I am praying “the year of the two’s” will be a change of pace for us all. Again, y’all are a great encouragement and I hope to see you soon…soon…soon. Happy New Year. Paul

Just read the message about Rod.  So sad and sorry to hear this.  thoughts and prayers are with his family.

there is no time that is good for a death in the family but Christmas is even worse because everyone is festive.  My cousin passed away on Monday.  Naturally everyone is sad but then you have the little ones that do not understand.  everyone stay healthy and safe.

It's a dreary start to 2022 but when that cold front arrives in a few hours it's supposed to drop tonight to low 20s with wind chill in the low teens.  But wasn't it a a warm and nice NYE!  Watched the Country Live Bash from Nashville last night and it was great!  All the top stars singing and so much better than the Miley Cirus stuff.

Happy New Year to all my '66 family.  May we all go forward with determination to make this a much better year than the last two.

It was a rough year but I survived Covid at my primary residence in Uvalde only to darn near freeze to death stranded at my Arlington home in February. Lost some family members and friends to illness. Then we’ve been subjected to nonstop noncitizens trespassing at the rate of 65-100 a day at our Uvalde property. We confront many ourselves and hold them at gunpoint for Border Patrol, law enforcement and National Guard. Now there’s a spike in the new Covid variant and inflation. In summary, we just thought 2020 was bad.
Hey, but SOC won State in 5-A football and my Dallas Cowboys are playing better. In less than 7 hours I retire from my primary employment for a third retirement. I plan to do some revenue producing projects in 2022 and be a part of some touring rock and roll musicians.
I’m alive and my family is okay. The glass is more than half full.
Happy New Year and good health to you all, and Prayers for those in need.

It's misty and yucky here as the final hours of 2021 run down.  Seems appropriate, as 2021 has been a sad year for many SOCites and our class has lost some dear ones.  I'd like to dedicate this GB page to our friends and classmates we've lost this year.  In the order in which they passed away.

May they be resting in peace and I will truly miss all of them.  Salute to the class of 1966 and may we always be SOC Strong!

RIP Rod. Gone too soon. I'll miss his postings.

Paul, hang in there. You have a lot of people pulling (and praying) for you.
Try and be a good boy and don't let your mouth get you in trouble.

We definitely needed some good news Sandy! so thank you for the status update about Paul S.

If you read this, Paul, you're obviously a tough guy and a fighter! [smile] We'll all keep praying for you to get better though, and praying for your doctors/nurses/family.  Glad you'll be going home soon.

Happy New Year, Y'all
