Well, I spoke with Karen last night.  She was still quite groggy (is that a word?).  She said the surgery went well.  She also said that Bobby lost the list of people to contact!  Go figure!  Anyway, the plan is to get her up and walking today.  She said that with a little hesitation but that could have been the drugs talking...lol.  She thinks she will be in the hospital for three to four days.   

Don - I sure hope that pain will pass soon, hopefully w/i the next wk!  You sure need to have some pain-free days!!
I am astonished at the high temps you're having!  112*!!    My goodness!!     I think our high was 110 once or twice with a whole lot of 104s to 108s, but 112 multiple time . . . Yikes!  I'll try & push these clouds & scattered showers down your way.  Not a lot of rain but even these few sprinkles, combined with the clouds, seems like heaven the last two mornings.  Get Better Soon DL!!

KMD - Thanks for the well wishes - I'm optimistic.  It's a different kind of pain now than before.  Not the sharp, stabbing sciatica stuff, but deep bruising & burning instead. 

Some of the vets out there might recall what a gamma globulin shot felt like.  It was a very thick serum for heptatitis A that left blood in your skivvies & your butt sore for a week or so.  Sorta like the nurse/corpsman/medic had injected a golf ball into your glute!

SNL - BTW, we'll be glad when some of the D/FW local weather moves south & give us some relief.  I posted yesterday that we'd hit 108.  But, by the end of the day, we topped out at 112.  We also repeated that today!

Happy Anniversary to Dale and Yvonne. Lucky for Dale, Yvonne was able to see past the plaid to find the good(?) in Dale.  Hope you guys had a great one.
