Place: Allen, TX Comments: Hi, Bobby Bradford: I wish I had answers for you. I suggest you find one of those companies that handle bankruptcies or some bankruptcy attorney and find some answers. You might be able to find some answers on the Internet. I know you have had a rough time. I know oh too well what that is like. I will be praying for you. Are you planning to come to the reunion? Would love to see you, as would just about everyone else. Bobby, I lost your e-mail address. Would you please send it to me. My e-mail address is: ronneymckee@sbcglobal.net. Don't be a stranger. Let me hear from you. I am also on Face Book. Search for Ronney McKee. You will see a picture of me and my wife on the top of the page. By the way, our University of Mary Hardin-Baylor girl is doing fine. Ate dinner and went to church with us tonight. She is excited that she will be an aunt, and we will be grandparents, around the first of the year. A whole new world is about to open up for us. Let me hear from you, bro., Ronney McKee
Place: 66erville Comments: WHAT? Somebody check Jimmie's temperature. Hard to believe he is passing on a chance to play and even more so a chance to play with his '66 classmates and those whippersnapper '67ers. Bovie even re-scheduled his hair, nail & waxing appointment so he could play.
Place: Bosque County Comments: Sorry I won't be able to make that game guys - see everyone on the 30th.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Pool Guy - Coyote Ridge? Did y'all help name that course by staying out there late the last time & howling at the moon? Not you or our guys, of course, but maybe Budman & some of those 67'rs? - Dandy

Place: Richardson Comments: Always nice to hear from you Sally. I'll miss you at the reunion!! I like the links, did not know there was a big memorial for the firefighters that has been there since 1913. It had to be very emotional for you Sunday being there in NY.
Place: Benbrook Comments: Any one know about bankruptcy laws in Texas? Need help.HOW DOES IT AFFECT loans for schools, cars, and your house?
Place: NYC Comments: We have a firefighters memorial not far for our apartment. There was a service there on Sunday. Lots of firefighters from all over the US were later at the Irish bar on Broadway and 105th street on Sunday. It took a while but we figured it out. To cheer us up on Sunday, we watched Man on Wire about Philippe Petit walking between the towers. It was a sad day but we tried to get over it. Here is Soledad O'Brien's report http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/11/soledad-obrien-an-uptown-memorial-for-new-yorks-bravest/ And one more http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/09/11/firefighters-mark-911-at-firemens-monument-on-riverside-drive/
Place: Garland Comments: The BMF Project will be hosting a happy hour on Thursday 9/15/11 6pm til ? @ BJ's at Town East. Come join us if you can.
Place: Garland USA Comments: SNL...I was just getting to the office when John called to tell me there had been a terrible accident atop one of the Towers in NYC, and he quickly recalled our trip there where we were able to go to the observation deck for a breathtaking view. I turned on the tv in the conference room and, as we began to debate how the fire might be extinguished, we saw the second plane plow into the second tower and we both said at the same time...this is no accident...and then we both said...terrorists! That day will live in my mind forever. At that same time, my boss wasat home hurrying along to pack her bags for a two-week trip to NYC with a friend. I was to pick her up at 11am to take her to DFW. After watching the tv in disbelief, I promptly phoned her and told her that I didn't think she would be flying anywhere for a good while. She didn't believe me and had me go forward with the plan to pick her up. I was almost to her house when she phoned me to say to go back to the office and that she would try to fly out the next day. Needless to say, that didn't happen either! After returning to the office, I had to contact a client of ours only to learn that he was at one of the towers the day before, and he just broke down in tears. He was going through a divorce at the time, and as a result he and his wife reconciled. It was a day that we will all remember forever, but the one positive thing I take from all of it - men are now more at ease giving their fellow man a hug and a pat on the back for no apparent reason!
Place: LV, TX Comments: BELATED H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to James Pulis, for 9/10! James – Very sorry for the delay. Hope you had a great one, with your feet propped up & curb service in the living room. Best wishes & many happy returns!
Place: LV, TX Comments: On 9/11/01, we were watching a morning news program & I was about to leave for work when the 1st plane hit. There was a lot of confusion about it til about 15 min. later when the 2nd tower was hit. I think everyone knew immediately what was going on then, but no idea where next or when. By the time I got to work, the Pentagon had been struck, then the brave passengers & crew of flight 93 forced the last one to crash in PA before reaching DC. No one got any work done that day - we should've all gone home to be with loved ones, say prayers for the many victims, and find some way to help. It was one of the most shocking and saddest days of my life, and compounded by a lot of anger since.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm glad you & KRL shared your memory with us! It seemed that morning the whole world was glued to their TVs watching something unfold that seemed more like a bad dream than reality. America & the world were watching a terrorist attack on the US "live" and then replayed over & over!! I'd love to hear from others who have a memory to share about were they were & what they were doing that morning 10 yrs ago!
Place: Cypress springs Comments: I remember on 9/11 i was an asst. Buyer for 7-Eleven...a group was supposed to leave for NYC for toy show....I had to go to the Exec. Boardroom and tell them about the planes....one of my co-workers had a son in NYC that was supposed to be at the towers on that day. She finally got a message that he had skipped it and gone elsewhere so was safe. It was hard being in the fire dept at that time...we had guys leaving to drive to NY to help..everyday we got notice of another FF or policer officer being found in the rubble. our guys wanted to be there helping but could not..it was. Really difficult time for them. Today is still hard for them. We have 10 that are in Dallas helping to honor all of the FF and Police officers lost. Jack H's nephew is one of them and my thanks go out to him. Take a minute today to remember all of those lost but also remember all of those people they saved!
Place: DeSoto Comments: Ditto on what KMD wrote. 9/11 I was in a staff meeting and left some of my notes on my desk, so I ran down stairs to get them. As I entered my office, one of our VP's came running from the atrium telling me that a plane had just crashed into one of the towers. I went to the atrium with him and watched in shock. I had to go up stairs and let everyone know what little i knew. I was told we had to finish our meeting....but I said i don't think you understand (this really upset me (the attitude)) I took a seat, but immediately got up and went back down and continued to watch until the second plane crashed. I immediately called each of my kids and a close friend and told them that i loved them. I wasn't scared, but felt helpless. I was glued to the TV the rest of the day...who could work? Everything seemed so uncertain. So much has happened in our country since 911. So many changes and so many tragedies, but we are still a blessed nation and one nation under God. I am proud to be an American, but most proud to be a Christian living in a Christian nation. May God bless the families that lost loved ones on that unforgettable day. You ask, I told and aren't you glad I wrote ditto! |
