Place: 66 Wisconsin Comments: I know I'm not as active over the past months on the GB. But it doesn't mean I don't check-in. I continue to light candles at mass every time I red a need. Lot's of you have been named and I apologize if I might have missed one. I have lit one for Donna...as all, a very tragic loss.
I thank the reunion committee and their aids, with great expertise I might add, for a wonderful three days. McGee, thanks for a great time...no one could have done it better. And thanks to Buddy, Bill Jonas & my cart driver and partner...Mr. Fugate for the time shared at the golf outing...it was great.
I nominate Hawkings and Tillery as our official story tellers for the class of 66'. In tandem they are a real pair.
And a final thank you to the many friends who were gracious enough to share their time with me...it was fun and will be remembered.
May God Bless all...
Place: Sachse Comments: Congratulations Cathy on those beautiful grandones. They are so cute and what a great photo of all of them together (except the one on the way, of course).
Place: Paradise, Tx Comments: Thanks for letting us know about Donna. She was very nice. Condolences to her dtr and family.
Place: Rainy Richardson Comments: Susan - I have no idea what happened to the GB. It was fine yesterday at 2:03 pm when I posted, and a few hrs later it looked like this! I sent an inquiry to the GB managers to see what I, or they, need to do to fix it. This has never happened before. Weird.I just finished posting Donna 's name to our deceased list. How sad, the number is up to 64! ![]() But on a light & more uplifting note - I posted 7 really cute Grandones & they all belong to one person! Ck 'em out!!
Place: FW Comments: How come all the messages are centered on the page now? Not that I mind ... just curious.
Place: Sachse Comments: So Sorry to hear about Donna. Carol, you have ALWAYS been a good friend and now you're back in touch! As for Glynda and dinners, I'll let you know as soon as we are on speaking terms again!
Place: FW Comments: I'm so sorry to hear about Donna. Just the other day, I was wondering what had become of her.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Hi, James! I hated that I couldn't make the reunion, also. I'll bet that I looked at the clock a hundred times last weekend, and each time I wondered what everyone was doing at that very moment. If I didn't hate flying so much, I might have tried to hop a plane and at least have made it to the "after party"!
I am SOOO glad to be back on the guestbook! There was nothing horrendous keeping me away. My work team just has been swamped - for most of two years, if you can believe that! (Has a lot to do with the PPACA and Dodd-Frank.) I can count on my fingers the number of times I've taken a real lunch break last year and again so far this year. Our HR Dept recently notified us that all employees must start breaking for lunch. I'm guessing that someone complained. (Too much boring info - sorry.)
That is sad news about Donna. I remember her as being a very delicate young lady.
I regret so much missing all the news about your lives over the last many months. I haven't been a very good friend - but I resolve to be so again.
Love to you all - Carol
(My condolences to all you Texas fans, and congrats to you Sooner fans. Jack, how many nights do you have to cook for Glynda?)
Place: Sachse Comments: How sad to hear of Donna's passing. But the illness and hard times that she had to deal with are finally over for her and she can rest now with Him. Prayers going out for her family and friends who will miss her so much.
Place: Richardson Comments: Have no idea what happened to the GB tda?? It's squirrely! ![]() Thanks Sammy, I'll return the Thumb Drive later. I met Lonnie Harmon tda & he gve me all his photos & the clips he got of Mystics & Chill Factor. Will start posting tmo & hopefully in a day or so have some pics for thos enot on FB or that couldn't attend. Roe - did you do this to the GB?
Place: coppell Comments: Sarah has some videos of the Mystics and others she took with her iPad. She will mail to Sandy on Thumb.
Place: DeKalb, Tx Comments: Boomer/Sooner, WHAT a Special time we had last Weekend, thanks to all involved for brighting up our lives.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm sad to have to post this sad news. I just found out today that our classmate, Donna Rexroat Holman, has passed away. She passed a way on 9-28 and she & her dtr and the children they were raising lived in WV. I don't have any arrangements yet, but I have a link to her obit. God Bless her dtr Jill & the children she & Donna were raising! http://obituaries.expressionstributes.com/?of=254c211091
Place: Richardson Comments: Richard, I told you there was a surprise that you wouldn't want to miss & if you didn't come you would regret it! 4 of the 5 were there. Danny Fugate, David Mitchell, Robert Faries, Glenn Struble & filling in to round out the grp . . . Alan Struble, Glenn's younger bro. Ron Jobe, the lead singer, has been in Oregon recovering from lung cancer & surgery & couldn't make it. I t/w David M today & he said Ron is doing great & has been deemed "Cancer Free"! He said he sure hated to miss the reunion of The Mystics & seeing everyone. It was truly a memorable night and all we have to say is, "Didn't We Have A Good Time, Baby!" YES!!!!!
Place: Calif. Comments: What reunion....nobody tells me anything. (just kidding, sorry we missed it). But, noboby said anything about the ol' rockers showing up...I would loved to have heard those guys play. Tell me this, was the entire group there? |
