Shortcake are you writing in third person now or is that you Bobby ?  A broken femur is a painful development. I just wish I had something witty to say that would make you laugh.
I will be praying for you.

Well the Dr said the femur was broken and the bone next to it crushed...they put in a plate and about eight screws. She is in a lot of pain...she said on a scale of ten it is about fifteen. She cannot take the drugs that will really stop the pain so right now what they are giving her puts her to sleep ....thank goodness.
Hoping tomorrow is better with less pain for her and for me!

Sandy Mc, I feel your pain, regarding washing your phone yesterday. Earlier this year I left my car keys in my cargo pants and washed them. Of course it fried the "remote" capabilities of opening the doors and trunk. Never realized just how convenient that feature was.

Our mutual ranching buddy, who shall remain nameless (Dale W. Smiley) washed his phone in the Gulf of Mexico last month. He was on a fishing trip with his grandson and an old college pal who was steering the boat. The "nameless one" was standing at the front of the boat. The pal threw the boat into reverse and our hero tumbled over into the drink, with cell phone in his pocket.

He has a brand new pretty blue phone now.

Don't say that Rick!):  It's much better now, but being very careful not to do anything stupid, thanks for asking, you too Susan.  If I had only not worked standing on a ladder for 12 hrs. with a sander or paint brush, bending over backwards, I would not be in this shape, but I had a dead line to meet and was determined to meet it.

Then I wore high heels to a wedding the next day.  I  started this project and wanted to finish it myself (very independent).  The rest of the house I'm, having done, with exception of the hallways.

Trying to get in shape for Cali. next week.

Karen keep us informed about your mom.

Moms surgery is tomorrow at one. Right now she is kinda out on left field. Evidently just about all pain Meds make her hullicinate. She does not know shei is in the hospital half the time ....or why...and we have trouble keeping her in bed.
Hopefully it will get better. Tried to get them to give me her Meds but it did not work!

Shortcake - Very sorry to hear about your mom's accident, especially a fracture on the same leg where she previously had her knee replaced - ugh.  Praying for her successful recovery & hope she heals faster that some of us, present company included.

One my 2 remaing aunts lives nearby in south Austin.  She suffered a fall about 2 yrs ago & fractured her hip - also on the same side where she'd had a knee replaced previously.  After the Dr treated the fracture & she was stable, they transferred her to a physical therapy facility for a few weeks where they cared for her basic needs & helped with the healing process til she was able to get around on her own.

Given your own situation, and if available to your mom, maybe that option would provide some relief for your family.

Happy Birthday Yvonne.  May your day be filled with sunshine or rain, which ever you prefer

Karen so sorry for all your problems.  You should be up and dancing by now.  Let us know how your mom is doing.  Do you know when her surgery is scheduled?

My niece, Jana's surgery went very well.  They started at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 12:00 midnight.  Janice got to see her at 1:30 a.m.  She said she was very alert and clear headed and not in pain.  This is definitely a praise God situation.   She'll get results on Wed.   Please continue to pray for the best results and for her recovery.  She has a fantastic attitude (just like her Aunt Sandy)

Washed my phone in the washing machine this morning.  Kept hearing something hitting against the drum and stopped it the third time before I finally saw it.   And it's only Monday

Happy Birthday Yvonne and hope you take time to celebrate in a big way. Really enjoy keeping up with your son Bob's Facebook ramblings (he is definitely Dale's offspring) as he tours with my favorite Christian recording group Third Day.

Shortcake, your mom is definitely on my prayer list, along with you. Hope you both will heal completely.
