Place: LV, TX Comments: Shortcake - Very sorry to hear about your mom's accident, especially a fracture on the same leg where she previously had her knee replaced - ugh. Praying for her successful recovery & hope she heals faster that some of us, present company included.
One my 2 remaing aunts lives nearby in south Austin. She suffered a fall about 2 yrs ago & fractured her hip - also on the same side where she'd had a knee replaced previously. After the Dr treated the fracture & she was stable, they transferred her to a physical therapy facility for a few weeks where they cared for her basic needs & helped with the healing process til she was able to get around on her own.
Given your own situation, and if available to your mom, maybe that option would provide some relief for your family.

Let us know how your mom is doing. Do you know when her surgery is scheduled? My niece, Jana's surgery went very well. They started at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 12:00 midnight. Janice got to see her at 1:30 a.m. She said she was very alert and clear headed and not in pain. This is definitely a praise God situation. She'll get results on Wed. Please continue to pray for the best results and for her recovery. She has a fantastic attitude (just like her Aunt Sandy) Washed my phone in the washing machine this morning. Kept hearing something hitting against the drum and stopped it the third time before I finally saw it. And it's only Monday

Really enjoy keeping up with your son Bob's Facebook ramblings (he is definitely Dale's offspring) as he tours with my favorite Christian recording group Third Day. Place: Cypress springs Comments: Ok...so not doing real good with with the medicine the dr gave me...had to stop taking it....now my Mom fell this afternoon...she cracked a bone in her ankle and broke the femur right above her knee replacement. She is in the hospital and we are waiting to see what the dr is going to do. Pls add to prayer list.

The guy who created the 60's Garage Bands website contacted David Mitchell & interviewed him about how he started in music, the Glory Tones & Mystics. Very interesting history I think you'd enjoy reading. Go to The Mystics pg & click on the juke box! Hope you're enjoying the weekend . . . I am! And the next day, and the next day, and the next day!!!!! When you're retired . . . the fun never ends!!  
Place: Richardson Comments: You're right Ronney - more of you should go to some of the other class reunions. I do & so does Barb. Besides us, there are 3-4 others from 66 who also attend the other class reunions and luncheons. There are some great people in those other classes & I have become good friends with them!!
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Been looking at the reunion pictures and thinking back on everyone when we were in school and at other reunions. I have come to a conclusion (probably the same as you have)....we have the BEST class of any school. Such a diversity of people. And, we all seem to care for one another. I am so proud to be a part of the SOC Class of '66. Even my wife, Connie, has said she would rather be fellowshipping with our class than she would her class (Highland Park High School, Class of '67). I feel that the older we get, the more we love and appreciate one another. Hope it never ends. And, I am thrilled to see that other SOC classes are beginning to join us. Perhaps when we can, some of us should be sure to visit the other class reunions, too. We have some GREAT folks in the other classes. |
