Place: Richardson Comments: Did some errands this afternoon & then visited with Mike Murray. He's looking better & in good spirits. Started him on soft food this week & he was finally able to have his coffee. Will remove feeding tube next week. Walking better but needs to hold on to the bars. Little by little, small improvements each week. Met his dtr, Cindy, & we only live abt 2 blks from ea other! Small world! Super Bowl XLVI tmo. Would only be better if the Cowboys were playing!!  But . . . maybe next yr?

Glad you came to the 45th & hope you can make the next mini!! You too Roe... come to the next mini!! Richard - As long as Perry is Gov, Smokey will always have a job . . . even if they have to create one for him. I think the press made way too much out of the knife incident. Smokey has always carried that big pocket knife & he probably thought it would be funny to pull it out & make a crazy statement when they told him he was fired. But apparently the wimps who were there didn't think it was funny!  Security was called & escorted him out. I would love to hear Smokey tell that story to his buddies. Priceless . . .JD - Those are 3 fine looking kiddos! I guess Jacob will be 6 in early June & starting first grade in the fall. Hard to believe.

Place: 66erville Comments: So sorry to hear about Mike Lloyd. Don/Barbara you know that party animal I'm married to isn't going to miss a party. We're coming, put us down for two. Pool guy, you're not always right, but you hit the nail on the head about that Singing Hills gang! 80 quarters, huh. Maybe I'll go visit Bovie. If I can get inside, he has quarters stacked all over the place. I first thought he was a coin collector. Found out he likes to keep his money visible and touchable. Ms. SNL, is there any of that Gentleman Jack left?? Mighty dry here. Sure could use a touch.

Place: Garland Comments: Be careful what you say about Singing Hills McGee....remember that there are others of us that lived there. Bobby's Mom passed out at the nursing home that we put her into today. They sent her to the hospital and she is now in ICU with 3 blood clots in her lungs. They are giving her blood thinners to try to dissolve them. Needless to say we will not be going to kerrville for Valentine's Day as we had planned.
Place: Tee Box Comments: Ms. SNL enlightened me on GB finances. Damn, that lady is organized. If we sent her to Washington, we would have no debt in a few years. It is disturbing to know a guy from Singing Hills has his name on the checkbook. Thank goodness he lives in another state. If Capps and Browning paid me the golf course money they owe me, we could take everyone on a 7 day Cruise.
Place: Richardson Comments: Pool Guy McGee - I sent you an em with a financial statement. Don't worry about that bottle of Gentleman Jack shown under "expenses" on pg 5, trust me, it was a necessary expense!! But in answer to your question of how many quarters are needed to keep the jukebox playing . . . I figure if 20 people sent 80 quarters each (Jack, that's $20), then the piggy should be fat & happy. So . . . do we have 20 people who use the website & are willing to contribute 80 quarters. Use of the website does not mean only the GB!! It's the entire website, domain name & GB. Just think how many photos are on this site dating back to 2005!! Pride & Joy & lots of announcements & reunion info & photos!
Place: Richardson Comments: McGee, You have a good question & I'll get back with the info next. But I was just given some sad news. Another of our '66 classmates has passed away. Michael Wayne Loyd passed Monday evening. I know we all remember Mike & with lots of fond & great memories. He lived in League,TX & the funeral services will be in the nearby town of Dickinson. Both are south of Houston. Brenda Rhoads sent me this Em I've posted below. If anyone wd like to contact Brenda, she sd to feel free to Em her at brenda@cspwebtech.com Hello Sandy, It is with deep sadness that I inform you, Mike Loyd passed away Monday evening. Mike passed from complications related to his heart problems. We married in 1967 & were married 5 years. He is the father of my two oldest children.
