Good to hear that you are not in the fire area, Robert. I just watched some interviews from there on the morning news and was hoping you're clear of it all. You are not the only one with gusty winds. We've had them here too. Snapped two of my fence posts off at the ground level and pulled another section loose from a post. Up until then I had really been enjoying the breeze that blew across the back porch!
Sam, y'all be careful in your travels.

Howdy folks.  just thought I would let you know that the fires are far west of us,  but the rub is that bad thunder storms and tornado are dropping by to often for my comfort. I had a six foot privacy fence that stood by the patio only now it is laying futher out in the yard, thanks to a big gust of Wyo. wind.  I am heading Monday to a pain doctor, damn diabete's .  Well let me know if your ac is working or not,  I have a brother that is in the bussiness now. no joke, no discounts either,  LOL

Well, it's final. The Hale family just increased the occupancy of Crandall by 5. Sarah and I kept the three grandkids Friday and today after helping with the moving.
Shortcake, glad to hear your knee is better. I'm also glad I only have two hips. Five total hip replacements since 1974 doesn't seem to add up.
Ronney, glad you too are feeling better. Only thing missing from your spa time is a margarita.
Ada, keep kicking butt gal. I go to my urologist next Tuesday for my PSA follow up blood work, then off to Top Sail beach next Sat, for 8 days, home for 4 days then driving to Gulf Shores, Al. For 10 days.Staying in Orange Beach.

Thank you Tanya for letting us know Brenda is selling off a lot of the Dallas Cowboys Memorabilia collected by her late hsbd, Sonny.  I have been inside his Cowboys shrine & you can't even began to imagine how much stuff he has regarding his beloved Cowboys!  It dates back to 1962 and a lot of it I'd never seen anywhere B4.  If anyone is interested in some one-of-a kind stuff . . .  Do contact Brenda Kemp (his widow) and make arrangements to see what she is selling.

Shortcake - Glad you are improving!  Nice to hear you are able to start getting out some & driving . . .  When it's NOT raining!!!

Ronney - Sounds like you are doing well also.  I know it is really good to be getting back to your routine, but with less pain.

Both of you take care of yourselves!!

Say any of you Cowboy Fans out there?  My friend Brenda Kemp is trying to sell a signed Bob Lilly football for $250.00, if anyone is interested, email her at blkemps@aol.com or give her a call 903-893-2782.  Her late husband Barney"Sonny" Kemp had a Cowboy Hall of Fame all his own, and there are things she is still trying to sell as she has downsized to a smaller home now.

Dr. Said he thought my knee was looking great but gave me some additional exercises to strengthen it. He changed my pain Meds. The one I was taking was making me sick to my stomach 24/7. Seems to be working Got to drive for the first time in 6 weeks. Tired me out. Bobby would not let me drive in the rain...said the knee was not strong enough yet. Still having to ice it down daily. I am glad I do not have anymore knees! Lol

Ronney - Good to hear.  Just have a Michelob Ultra with your pizza & it'll cancel-out the sinfulness - heal-on.

Got a wonderful report from the surgeon at my post-op visit, yesterday. Everything healing very well. I felt so good this morning that I went to the nursery to buy some new plants for our courtyard leading out to the pool. After that, I got in the pool. Felt SO good. Then, I came in and soaked in hot water in the spa tub in my bathroom, while I read a book on my NOOK. Awwwwww, sweet luxury. Feels like luxury being able to do things I like to do again. Still have a little pain, but it is very manageable.

Been eating very healthy. Oatmeal this morning. Fruit for lunch. But, tonight for dinner, I will be sinful......Sausage & Onion Pizza...my favorite!!! I may regret it but I will enjoy it for awhile.

Barry Hosford sent me the notice regarding Martha.  I spent the night at Vic's on a few occasions and knew them all quite well.  I told Martha at the 40th that the only person I knew who was crazier than Vic was her.  Quite the funny gal and where Vic got his humor.

I understand Rick & Barry are pall bearers; nice honor for both.

As you saw from Don L post, Martha Noah passed away Sunday at the age of 91.  She was Victor Noah's Mom & many of you will remember meeting her at our 40th Reunion Services held for our deceased classmates.  Again, here is the service info:

Saturday, 12:30 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home, located at 1219 North Davis, Arlington, Texas 76012. The phone is 817-275-2711.

My heartfelt condolences to Rick Mitchell, who knew her since childhood, and all the other guys who became close to her since our 40th.  She was a great and funny lady and I liked her very much.

Right knee is getting stronger...according to my therapist. Left foot is still numb...if it does not clear up in another month the dr. Is going to do an analysis on the nerves. I have a lot more pain on right knee..guess that is what happens when the nerves are ok. Think I am going to drive for the first time today.
I am going to be installed as worthy matron in eastern star on Saturday. Going to be interesting since I cannot do a lot of walking. You are all welcome to come and watch. Bobby will be there but only to keep me from doing a lot. It is at 125 state street near downtown garland.
Got to get things straightened up here so we can go to pt and then garland. See ya later
