Well, it took a shower and 4 C of coffee before I could calm down and type anything.  Last night was NOT a good night for the home teams.  The Rangers let it slip away & now must win a game from Oakland to win our Division!  And the Cowboys . . .  well, they just blew it & crumbled!  Today is another day & another opportunity!    Go Get 'Em Rangers!!

A note to gently remind everyone . . .  Thurs night at 6:30pm is Cocktails over at Donnie & Barb's home to celebrate the kick-off of the 4th Annual BMF Project Golf Tourney.  Fri is the tounament & at 6:00pm is the dinner.  If you don't play golf, join the fun at dinner ($15pp) at 6:00.  You'll hear about the amazing work the BMF Project does & see them give much needed Equip to the Rescuers!!  It's a great cause and all monies go directly to the charity, not a penny is kept for salaries.  Hope to see some of you Thur & Fri nights.

Don't forget -  Sat is our SOC Mini.  2-6pm at the Hyatt.  Please see the EVENTS pg for full details on both Events.  Here's the link:  http://soc1966.com/events.html

Smiley, loved the Star Spangled Banner rendition. Had to add it to my Facebook page. Thnks for sharing.

Happy Birthday to all I may have missed. Getting older is still better than the alternative.

So glad the Rangers won last night and hope they take it to the A's tonight. We are heading out to Texas Stadium tonight to see the Cowboys take on da Bears.

YES Jack, one!  Our friend who had the 6 Free tickets last Thur when we played Oakland at 1:05pm.  We actually won that one!  Yesterday was so exhausting we were both drained by 10:00pm.  Can't take two games in one day!!!

Within a few minutes of getting in our seats the drizzle stopped.  at 12:35 the sun came out.  It was a great time until the 9th inning when Nathan let it slip away.   But last night he finished it off!    Tonight is another "flip" night!  Cowboys at 7:30 & Rangers start at 9:00.    These overlapping seasons are killing us.  Rangers really need to take 2 outta 3 in this last series to put Oakland out & hopefully clinch home field advantage by winning the AL.  Wd help if NY & Baltimore wd lose one too!  GO RANGERS!!!

SNL, have you ever been in attendance when the Rangers WON a game??
Wish I had a pair of shoes like the ones the USA caddies were wearing at the Ryder Cup.

JD, is it true that the police are looking at your phone records in their investigations of threats to the NFL offices and the replacement refs??

It was lightly raining when we got up this morning and it hasn't stopped yet.  Nothing heavy, just a wonderful slow soaking rain!!  Hope everyone here in the DFW area is getting some of this wonderful stuff.

I recvd two Grandone photos yesterday.  So I put both of them up on the Pride & Joy pg.  We have twins and a baseball player, ck it out!

Looks like the Ranger game will be rained out.  Supposed to start at 3:05, still in Rain Delay!  If it doesn't quit by tonight I guess it'll be a double hitter tmo.  We hve tickets for the 2:30 game tmo, could end up being a long day for the Rangers as tmo is the last home game.  We'll see what happens.

Light shower here tonight.  Supposed to rain most of day tmo.  We sure need the rain!

Sammy - we didn't enlarge our patio, but we did put one row of pave stones around the edge of it.  Made a pave stone walkway from our patio to around the side of the yard.  Then the one row of pave stones comes off the pathway and goes around the edge of our patio.  Don put big rock-looking landscape edging around the tree & one flower bed, we completly ripped out & replanted that flower bed and layed St Augustine in the yard.

Hey guys, any of you know a website I can look at to remodel our backyard patio? We just need to make it larger and some stone borders.
Sandy, didn't you and Don do yours?

Jack - Now I'm a little worried about you.  I have no idea what you just said or what language you used!!    I've told and told you . . .  Don't start sipping Gentleman Jack until at least Noon!!

I had a great day yesterday.  We left hse at 10:30 & ate lunch at On the Border in Arlington next to Ranger Ballpark, then went to the game.  Was perfect weather and the Rangers put on a good show.  Won 9-7 against Oakland!!  Left the Ballpark at 4:45 and fought the evening traffic over to Plano where Don dropped me off at El Fenix abt 5:45.  I met Barb, KMD & KRL for dinner.  We had a great time visiting - enjoyed it immensely girls!!
