Place: Kerrville Comments: Well we made it to midnight...gets harder every year...but had a good time at the party and stayed sober! Too old to get up in the morning with a hangover! Three parties today...a brunch, a black-eyed pea/bloody Mary party and at two some of the crazier people are jumping into one of the ponds in the club.....no I am not one of them...I will stick to taking pics. We will head for home tomorrow..until then Happy New Year everyone.
Place: Sachse Comments: SNL, it's hard to believe that Brooklyn is already 3. She is growing up fast and sooo cute. Happy New Year to everyone. We are snuggling in tonight with Pad Thai from Pei Wei and Mimosas. I think it's a great way to welcome in the New Year.

Place: Kerrville Comments: Thanks SNL...hope you are feeling better for the coming New Year. No gymnastics! Hope the weather is better there then it is here..we have rain. Fortunately we are within walking distance of our dinner and party. Now if we can just stay awake until midnight...gets harder every year! We have one group of "polar bears" that are going into one of the ponds tomorrow! I said I would take pics and donate money but forget getting wet! Should be interesting! Everyone stay safe...happy new year.
Place: Richardson Comments: Good morning SOC Buddies! I just posted the last Grandone photo for the year. It is our youngest Grandone, Brooklyn. We get very few, if any, photos of her. You know how it is. On the first child (in our case triplets) they take tons of pics. By the 2nd one you're lucky to get anything!  I hope Rod doesn't mind sharing space with me on the P&J pg.  Brooklyn is below Rod's handsome boys.Everyone have a safe NYE so we can all live to enjoy another yr!! Happy anniversary to Shortcake & Bobby! May God Bless us all with a healthy & safe 2013.

Place: Kerrville Comments: Actually my last post was a joke...bobby was driving...we spent the night in San Antonio and are now pulling into Kerrville. Got o gt set up. Everyone get well before I get home! That's an order!
Place: Garland USA Comments: Have spent the last 6.5 hours signing in, seeing a doctor and getting prescriptions for both of us filled at a Wylie 24 hr. pharmacy. We almost had time to get well! Now I am still waiting at 12:45 am for Bruce to return with the meds. I decided to catch up on the GB when I read Shortcake's post. Ah-ha!! Alert.....either she started her celebration early or she is texting while driving an RV!!! Stay safe Shortcake!
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: SNL, I just got thru catching up on the guest book comments and was stunned to read about your recent battle with "Gravity", in which you came out on the losing end. Dru has had a couple of similar incidents and it is scary to bang your head in that fashion. Now we have a household "rule" that nobody gets on a ladder unless the other spouse is nearby. That doesn't necessarily prevent a fall, but at least first aid is close at hand. I've been busy planning my new resolutions for the coming year. I'd put it off while we were still under the threat of the Mayan Apocalypse. Number 1 on my list is "Join a gym". Of course I don't actually plan on going to the gym - mainly it gives me something to write in my diary that will look good to those who read it after I'm gone. Later, chumps.

Place: 66erville Comments: Happy Anniversary to Karen and Bobby!! Bobby should get some kind of award. Don't know what to name it, but everybody knows what it would be for. Hope nobody is going south on I35 as I understand that Karen is driving the RV. SNL, don't worry about your hair, just wrap it up like a big old turban!
Place: Richardson Comments: Sandy Mc thanks for the update regarding Sue. I hate to call him very often as I know he gets tired of repeating things. So if anyone talks to Mike please let the rest of us know. If you haven't already looked at our Pride & Joy, please do so. Can't believe Rod's Grandones have gotten so big!! Ck them out! I have one more to post before end of yr. Will post it tmo. Gosh I'm touched so many of you are worried about me!! Thank you so much for caring! Yes, I do have two small holes in my head (don't go there Smiley & Jack) and it did bleed a lot. But, I have not had an nausea, no blurred vision, no swelling or any systems of concussion. I've read the paper every mrng & been on the PC too. Today I'm going to wash this yucky hair. But the real challenge will be using that round brush & hair dryer to get it dried! Ouch! I know this will come as no surprise to many of you . . . but apparently I have a hard head! In Sept 1999 I was chasing a mean cat away from my house. I was running full speed down the side yard & as I approached the neighbors driveway I caught my toe on the edge of their driveway. I flew thru the air, landed on my right knee, then shoulder & then head! my head hit just above the right eye. I blacked out a few minutes & then came into the house. Within 30 min a huge goose egg came up on my head & my face started turning black & blue. We went to the ER. Spent 4 hrs there & all I got from them was an ice pack for the egg size knot on my head. they took several X-rays of my face as they thought for sure I had broken my eye socket bone or something! No, nothing broken & they said to go home & rest. Funny part is, that was Fri & on Sun me & my sis-n-law were hosting a Bridal Shower for a family friend!! If you think I didn't look terrible when I hobbled in. I looked as if I'd been beaten by a baseball bat. I also was supposed to leave for Hstn on Biz tip that Tue. Had to reschedule trip for few weeks. Honestly, I think my head is fine & healing good. But if I have any dizziness or other symptoms, I will go to Dr.
