SNL, sorry but Bruce and I cannot make it to the mini.   We are working on our house at the moment, and as you can guess, I don't want to stop while progress is in motion.  Hope you all have a great time.

Thank you David and Sandy and all those who contacted me regarding the passing of my dad. Your expressions of sympathy were so appreciated. It was exhausting spending all afternoon with my siblings finalizing all the arrangements but I am glad to have most things done now. Dad was always a joker and enjoyed making people laugh. I'm sure he has them all in stitches up in heaven now. We have set visitation for 6-8 pm on Thursday at Laurel Land and the funeral will be held Friday at 2 pm. Barbeque will be served in the State Room at Laurel Land following graveside services if anyone wishes to come.

Just received sad news from Karen Melton Davis.  Below is her email.

"Sandy, just wanted to let you know that my Dad, John Melton, passed away early this morning. He lived a long and happy life (age 95) and is now in a better place. My sister, brother and I are making final arrangements at Laurel Land this afternoon."

Prayers for Karen and her family as they mourn the loss of her Dad.

Rickypoo - so glad you can make the Mini!!!  So far I have 20 people who will be staying for the Dinner Buffet.  Hopefully, as usual, a lot more of you will be at the Mini.  I know not everyone is able to stay for dinner.  James & Kay Kidd are coming to the Mini & staying for dinner & at the hotel that night!!  Shaping up to be a great Mini!!

You are always so thoughtful Sammy!  The Holiday Inn said they wd bill each of us (single or couple) at dinner just like in a regular restaurant!  We can pay with cash or Cr Cd.  So no need to pay in advance.  So far I have recvd 18 confimations for the dinner buffet!!

As far as the SOC '66 Kitty goes . . .  it's hanging in there, but I always like to start building it up a little so we have some extra for the reunion.  Can y'all believe in 3 short yrs it will be our 50th!!  Geez, seems like we just had our 45th.

Sandy, I looked into the Belmont Hotel and yours and Rick's exchange.  What an interesting looking place.  I expect their lounge is pretty high to reserve.  Too bad!  It would be fun.
