Karen MD, I'm very sorry to hear about your sweet Dad!  I know you'll miss him terribly.  I saw the picture of him in his hat on FB.  He looks like one of those old-time movie stars, so dashing and debonair (don't know if I spelled that right, but you know what I mean!).

So sorry for your loss, Karen. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do...

Toni, you have been absent from so many of our latest gatherings I'm beginning to think you have been traded to Kimbell or even Sunset! Take a break and join us for a few hours. Bruce needs the rest.

Karen, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing.  I remember your telling us stories about your dad.  You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

SNL, sorry but Bruce and I cannot make it to the mini.   We are working on our house at the moment, and as you can guess, I don't want to stop while progress is in motion.  Hope you all have a great time.

Thank you David and Sandy and all those who contacted me regarding the passing of my dad. Your expressions of sympathy were so appreciated. It was exhausting spending all afternoon with my siblings finalizing all the arrangements but I am glad to have most things done now. Dad was always a joker and enjoyed making people laugh. I'm sure he has them all in stitches up in heaven now. We have set visitation for 6-8 pm on Thursday at Laurel Land and the funeral will be held Friday at 2 pm. Barbeque will be served in the State Room at Laurel Land following graveside services if anyone wishes to come.

Just received sad news from Karen Melton Davis.  Below is her email.

"Sandy, just wanted to let you know that my Dad, John Melton, passed away early this morning. He lived a long and happy life (age 95) and is now in a better place. My sister, brother and I are making final arrangements at Laurel Land this afternoon."

Prayers for Karen and her family as they mourn the loss of her Dad.
