Place: Richardson Comments: NOTE - If you are on FB, do not accept Friends Requests from someone you are already friends with!!! It means that person has been hacked & it's an imposter asking you. I didn't accept Sammy's request bec I knew we were already friends. Too many scams & ID theft going on now days. I never open up links from any of you if the sent em only has "undisclosed" as the address and an em link. If you can't send me a note and sign it, then the link isn't that important. That's how hackers get into your PC. Sorry, but if you want me to see a link, better make sure I know it's from and why. I have never been hacked nor had a virus on my PC, knock knock on wood!!!! Let's just say I'm very selective as to what I open & links I click onto. If it's really important I see something you're sending, I figure you will certainly let me know. Same goes for the fake UPS or FedX emails. They don't send em asking you to click a link! They leave it on the door or a note asking you to come pick it up or to call. Y'all be careful out there . . . the Internet is a scary place! 
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, Charles sounded so much better than 3 days ago, but you are right Sammy.... he has a long way to go. Seems lots of illness with our grp & our parents. Prayer warriors, please keep these people on your list as well as their families. Charles - as he tries to recovery from the heart surgery & ensuing pneumonia he contracted in the hospital Sammy - major surgery Wed Gordy - Carpal Tunnel surgery on his right hand Fri. Bobby's Mom who is hanging on by a thread and not expected to make it much longer KRL's Mom with the dangerous problem with her eye All of these people will be in my prayers.
Place: Coppell Comments: I spoke with Charles yesterday. He said it looks as if he will be in St. Paul for another week. He sounded much better than last week, but has a while to go. Prayers up for Charles, Bobby's and Karen's mom and all societies and families with all this crud still going around. FYI group, my Facebook account was hacked. it did not send friend request or personal messages to click on a money scam link.
Place: Grand Prairie Comments: Bobby and I are in g. Prairie with his mom. She is in really bad shape. There have been two nurses with her today and will be one with her 24/7. She has not eaten in over 48 hours and it has been almost that long since she had fluids. She is in hospice and they are not expecting her to last another 24 hours. All of her functions are shutting down. They still have no idea what is wrong with my mom. It is not a tumor or anurism behind her eye. They are running blood tests to see if they can figure it out. She said they are selling her blood to vampires! Pls keep these in your prayers tonight
Place: Richardson Comments: Larry - Thank you for telling us the connection to SOC. I saw his name in the obits but didn't recognize it, I didn't take music or piano. How very sad for Mr. & Mrs. Kerr. It's always difficult, to say the least, to lose a child. It's nice you still have such good memories of taking piano lessons at his mom's house and he & his brother playing while she taught.
Place: Dallas, Texas Comments: Todays obits in the Morning News had a sad ring. A gentlemen born in '53, Russ Kerr, passed away. His parents were Jack & Vernell Kerr. Her name may be familiar with some SOCites because she taught piano to literally hundreds of us at her home on Neptune, just east of Marsalis and south of Ann Arbor. It is always sad when a parent has to bury a child, and this sounded very sad. I am proud to say that I took piano from Vernell (I once played the piano in my Bear suit in a talent show), and some of the other students were Earlene Shughart, Rex Allen, I think Jackie Foster, Sherry Yarborough, and others now forgotten. Russ, or Rusty, would come running through the house, with his younger brother Kevin. Vernell was the pianist for the First Baptist of Oak Cliff on Ann Arbor at what was Beckley, and became IH 35. Say a little prayer for her......

Place: Richardson Comments: Honest Shortcake, I didn't tell him about the bath redo! I can't imagine coming home and finding my half bath torn up without knowing about it! Don & I have spent so much time designing the tile layout, colors, trim , etc. We also have 2 other things going on that relate to the bath redo. The big bay window in front of the tub has been fogging up for about 2 yrs. When they come out to measure for our new Frameless shower stall they will also measure for new window. If we will wait on installation of the new window & do it the same time as the shower stall, they'll give us an $80 discount. Also we have wanted to move the backyd faucet from right in front of our patio to the side of the house. That's where the side yd is and our bath. We'll coordinate with plumber to connect the new line to the outdoor faucet since we have the bath walls stripped down and it will be easy access. When this is all through we will have fixed 3 issues . . . bath, faucet and window. Can't wait, I'm ready to start putting up tile now!! But will probably be next wk.
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Ok I guess your talking about redoing bathrooms must have gotten to Bobby somehow....and he does not even read the GB. He now has our upstairs BR torn up and is adding a shower. It was just a powder room with no shower. Did not know he was going to do that he just started it last week. Mom had an MRIon Thursday. The dr said he thinks she has either an anurism or a tumor behind her left eye. I am hoping they would not have let her go home if it was that serious. Will find out tmr hopefully. 
Place: Richardson Comments: Toni so sorry you & your family have been so ill. Do you think you had a different strain of the flu rather than the H1N1 since you had flu shot? Could be the old fashioned CRUD!! Glad you are some better and hopefully on the mend. Yes, our grp still needs to keep Ada Ann, Charles and Sammy in our prayers as they continue to fight against their illnesses and the many side effects. Spring can't come soon enough for me this year. Mother Nature must have dementia, she can't remember what season it is!!  2 days warm & beautiful, then 3 days of cold and windy, then beautiful, then freezing . . . it's a wonder everyone isn't sick with colds!! I'm looking forward to a Spring Get-Together!
Place: Garland USA Comments: First time I checked in with the GB in days. Have been very ill. Am finally feeling better today so we went for a drive to get me out of the house. Five other family members are likewise very ill. This winter has not been kind to my family or me and I had a flu shot!! Thoughts and prayers are going out to all of the SOCites who have been ill and especially Ada, Charles and Sammy.
Place: Richardson Comments: Just spoke with Charles Moss. He is back in St.Paul hospital again, he has pneumonia. He doesn't think he ever really got over it before he went home. They're pumping him up with antibiotics. Note: The bldg. doesn't say "St Paul" on it, instead it says UT Southwestern. It's still called St Paul but it doesn't read that way on the bldg. Go figure!
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes Barb, I can't wait to see it finished either! I hope this isn't going to be one of those "30 minute" jobs that ends up taking 3 months!!  Don says it'll only take 5 to max of 6 wks. So . . . I'm guessing 8 wks outta do it!!
