Place: Coppell Comments: Jack, lets all plan a success party in four weeks at Snuffers! Thanks to all for your prayers. Sarah and I should sleep well tonight as neither of us slept at all last night. We wondered why they wanted to give me a sleeping pill at 8:00, now we know. They start the patient's day at 5:00. True what they say about a hospital is not the place to rest or sleep.

Place: Zale Lipshy Comments: Sam is out of surgery. Doc said it was a difficult procedure. He removed all the scar tissue but will know in 4 weeks if it was a success. Sam will be staying over night. Should go home on Thursday.

Place: Richardson Comments: Good info about the scam phone call Jack! I usually don't return a call from someone if they don't leave a VM. Unless it is someone I know & recognize the #. But you're right Jack, lots of people don't bother the ck their VM or look at the #, they just hit Call Return and go from there. It's scary how vulnerable we are now days and how many people actually give out their personal info via an unsolicited Em or over to pho to a stranger!!
Place: Sachse Comments: Good idea, Larry. You know I'm always ready to get together and Chips is as good as any place. Their shoestring onion ring loafs are great. I think the class of 67 meets there once a month or so. I'm sorry to admit I don't know what that date is, but for me, sooner is better. Want to let y'all know or remind you of the latest scam going around. It is the one ring phone call. Your phone rings once. Lots of us will just return the call, guessing something screwed up in the system. DON'T. It is a pay-to-chat scam. They will charge you $20 for the connect and then $$ per minute they can keep you on the phone. The phone company will tell you you placed the call and have to pay the charges. I got a one ring, but checked to see where from. It was a 268 area code and showed Antigua/Barbuda. I did NOT return the call. None of you told me you were going to Antigua, so who would I know there? Don't know where they got my cell number, but I use it for business so it is available in many places. Be careful, EVERYONE is out to get our money!
Place: bigD Comments: The Memorial service for Mr. Rose is tonight ( Tuesday) at Cliff Temple Baptist Church. starts at 4pm. The address is 125 Sunset st. Dallas tx. 75208. phone 214-942-8601 The viewing was last night. Sunset is near Jefferson and Beckley in Oak Cliff.
Place: Dallas Comments: Hey Jack; We are getting way to morbid. Its time we threw off this nasty winter and got together someplace and raise some hell. Would Dennis Nance and Chips be just the place to eat burgers and speak bull _ _ _ _? Maybe we plan something for opening day with the Rangers---not that far away, and the best chance we have of having a winner in the forseeable future. I know Karen's sister Jana knows what I am talking about.

He's finally home. Dr. Daniel A. Rose went home to be with his Savior and Lord last night in his sleep. He loved everyone of you. More information will be posted as it is available. Day 43 - his battle is over. July 16, 1937 - February 1, 2014. |
