Place: Cold & Sleeting in Richardson Comments: Robert - I can't say for everyone else, but the flower dividers between post are still there and so is the bouquet at the top. No Xs. Maybe you should turn off your pop-up blocker. Sometimes it keeps images from appearing. Does anyone else see Xs instead of the flowers?? Sammy - I am really hoping this is the last winter blast & Spring is just around the corner. Hate that your G-dtrs B-day will be curtailed & no bounce house! If icy roads are becoming a problem . . do it next wkend. Better safe than someone having an accident. I bought groceries yesterday - we're not going anywhere tda. think we'll try to clean up some of the dust & dirt throughout the downstairs!! Oh my, it seeps in everywhere. Cutting the tile in the bathrm caused it. Don had to cut five 16" tiles as we redesigned things a little and they were in the way. What a bunch of dust!! But good news is . . . the shower pan area is finished, sealed & it's beautiful. Love the 2"x2" stones we picked and the grout turned out to be the perfect color. It outta be, took us more than an hour to pick out the grout color! . The shower stall is going to be 10 x 16 tiles so easier than those darn small stones for the bottom. Small stone 2x2 on the shower floor and front of the bathtub. The bigger tile on the stall walls and around the top of the tub.So, when you take a shower in your nice clean bathroom without dust . . . just be glad you aren't married to my husband or else you'd be using a small upstairs bath and dusting your bdrm nearly every day!!

Place: Frozen Tundra Comments: Ok guys, I have lived in Texas all my life and you would think by now I am used to this crazy weather patterns. Temp was 82 yesterday and now 25 and sleet. Having our grand daughter's birthday celebration at our house. Family driving from McKinney, University Park and Forney. Ordered Pizza from Dominoes in Irving. Hope all make it safely. Wind chill is 13 degrees. Our bouncy house Kathryn requested is not going to happen. Fun times indoors. Stay Warm!
Place: SpaceCity back where it belongs Comments: m,, hb nm nbm , Now that is the way I think about it. LOL. I got to talk to her a ways back and she was getting her place fixed up. we shared a few things about the past. I think I will send her a letter first, correct ? It is cold here in the house. I setting next to the wall that goes to the garage . I will let you know if I hear from her.
Place: Richardson Comments: Hey Robert, be sure to write Fran & ask for a confirmation of her address before sending her anything else. As I said, she has never responded to our reunion invites, even to add or change info, and we have no other leads on her except that CA add we found more than 7 yrs ago. Can you believe it, supposed to be in the 20s tmo nite & tmo afternoon have sleet!! So much for an early Spring!
Place: Space City flying again Comments: Thank you, Jack , Now to light it up , oopps, I mean lighten things up. As Dear Saturday Night Live ,SNL, said I just need to aggravate someone or all. I thought I did pretty good with Jack. Well flatlanders , it is snowing once more. there is a lady living around here that has a team of sled dogs. I have seen her walking them but never pulling a sled. And believe me, since I live on the very outside of town we never get our streets plowed, so she could sled here at home. Maybe I will track her down and see how things are going. I have been going to a head shrink for about two months now and dear old Jack was just one of the spokes in the wheel of my past we are working on. SNL , thanks for the info. last time I talked to Fran she told me her mother had trashed her year book. So I thought I would send her mine. or maybe if I do get in touch with her we all can pitch in and buy her a new one. Just will have to wait and see. did I say it is snowing once more? well, you can take the boy out of the flat land but you can't take the flatland out of the boy, right ? OK, I promise to calm down now in posting here, I will just increase my drugs before posting. Gee that should get crazy. One time here we were talking about age. I found out I am one of the oldest bears, turning 67 the 20th of March. Wife said we could go out for a steak then. Love ya all RobertMV
Place: DS Comments: Everyone needs to laugh once in a while...actually several times everyday Things need to be spiced up on this site,.....too serious!I, however, am always interested to know of sick or passed classmates.
Place: Richardson Comments: Jim - our records show that Larry lives in Moore, OK. How did he fare during those awful tornadoes back last May?? Hope he came thru OK and his home wasn't destroyed. Robert- I sent you the info a few minutes ago. Now Robert, you gotta lightened up. There is rarely anything said on this GB that is serious, we simply kid around and make light of most situations. Please don't take offense and just know we're like a bunch of little kids trying to see who can aggravate the other the most. See where I'm going here . . .
Place: 66erville Comments: Sandy Mc, Robert is right, we have a long and storied history. Well, Robert, after all these years, I don't recall the incident. But it must have been important to you that you remember it still. ROTC often had something going on before school, so I usually left home early. I can only surmise that I either didn't see you or I was being my normal mean self. It has been my experience, especially after reuniting with our fellow SOCites, that we have all changed since then. It is easy to say let bygones be bygones or it is water under the bridge. If you really want to drudge up old grievances, for me, this public form is not the place for it. I do apologize for any slight you feel I did you.
Place: High times in Space City Comments: Sandra , Jack and I grew up next door to each other, pausing to pick up a friend of many years was not a "gay thing". I don't think Jack needs anyone to take up for him, please let him speak for himself. This small thing has bothered me for years. Dear SNL , looking forward to hearing from you.
Place: Carthage, TX Comments: Just had a nice phone conversation with Larry Murphy who has lived in Oklahoma for many years. Don't hold that against him.
Place: DS Comments: Robert, back in the day, (60's), guys picking up guys was frowned upon. Not speaking for, but knowing Jack, you were the wrong gender. Also knowing "Jenerious " Jack, he just might send you a few plants to get your garden started.( a polite jester of forgiveness) You would just need to get you a bear to protect your property. Protected, pain free and partying could be your future
Place: Gorgeous Day in Richardson Comments: Robert- I don't have any # or Em for Fran, all I have is an address in CA. Don't know if that is a good address or not as she has never responded to any mail sent to her regarding our last two reunions. But, I do have a correct address and Em for Rick Mitchell. Will send it later to you via Em as I never post personal info on this site. I'm off to run errands, buy groceries and soak up some sunshine!!!
Place: Richardson Comments: (apparently so SMC) Robert, Co & Washington state have legalized marijuana for casual consumption. Hr long report on Marijuana & Col & what's going on on CNBC other night. And yes, they report said the stuff is much stronger than it was 30-40 yrs ago. They showed middle-class parents having "Get-Togethers" with wine, snacks & pot!! I agree, it sure did seem expensive. In WA & CO . . . no prescription needed. ![]() Never tried it back in the 60s or 70s or any other decade. If one scotch or a glass of wine can give me a buzz . . . I shudder to think what a $50 joint could do.
