Place: Mansfield, Tx Comments: Just letting everyone know that Charles has been in the hospital for about a week, and yesterday was put in ICU because of his heart rate, which today seems to be stabilized. He was also in the hospital two weeks ago, but he usually doesn't want his situation posted, actually thinking he complains, but I told him everyone wants to keep up with him and be able to pray for him. He is in Southwestern Medical.
Place: Garland USA Comments: Checking in! SNL, the Guestbook is looking very festive. Hope you and Don enjoy the 2/3 of the triplets! Geez, are you two going to be worn out? Karen, if you have some Avon Skin so Soft, apply it generously before going outside and you'll be good to go....anywhere. It works! Enjoy your Colorado trip. SNL, thanks for the update on Smokey.
Place: Richardson Comments: Another encouraging msg from Smokey's dtr, Melissa, written to Larry Dunn. Larry is good to forward them to me so I can update everyone. Thank you Larry! From: Melissa We're hanging in. My aunt is down and sitting w him this week a lot so that's a huge help. Maybe one day next week you can spend some time with him if your free? No pressure. ))
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Happy July 1st! The year is going by pretty fast. We are staying home for the 4th. Too much going on around here and besides, we are leaving for Colorado in a couple of weeks. The Mosquitos have been bad this year. I usually get maybe one or two and I have about six or seven ....driving me crazy. Do not know when they zapped me....went to a funeral yesterday and I got zapped quite a few times. Ready to just stay inside and not let anyone open a door!
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - How great for you & Sarah that you have sold your house in Coppell & the your offer has been accepted on your new place at Cedar Creek!! Hope everything goes smoothly for you! We'll be doing much of the same as you & Sarah. Don will be picking up the boys tmo & they will participate in our neighborhood 4th parade. It goes from our house up to the pool. Then donuts & diving for quarters. That evening we'll walk down the alley a few blks to watch some great fireworks at Breckinridge Park. On Saturday we'll drive over to Grapevine where I have reservations for us to ride the old vintage train from Grapevine to the Ft Worth Stockyards with about a 90min delay & then back. Going to be a fun week!!
Place: Coppell Comments: The Smith clan will be enjoying the 4th of July with an evening of games, food and festivities at Coppell center the evening of the 3rd topped off with Fireworks that night at Andy Brown Park East by the lake. The 4th will be the annual city parade around 9:00. We will leave at 8:30 to get our favorite viewing spot. Topped off with hot dogs and hamburgers at Pop and Nana's house. Hope all enjoy your time together.
Place: Richardson Comments: For you McMakin . . . the sparkly one. Hope everyone is looking forward to the 4th of July next Friday. Don is picking up 2/3 of the triplets on Tues (the 2 boys) as they want to spend the 4th with us. They found out last yr that our neighborhood has a parade, starting in front of our house, up to the pool and then refreshments & diving for quarters for the kids. All of the kids decorate their bikes & we give prizes. They are so excited about getting to participate in the parade!! Of course Fri night the City of Richardson puts on a great fireworks display at Breckinridge Park. Everyone in our neighborhood walks down the ally & crosses the street to the park. No driving & no traffic. We love it!
Place: Richardson- SMOKEY UPDATE Comments: Larry Dunn asked Melissa, Smokey's dtr., how he was doing and if he could come see him again. This is the msg she sent back to Larry. It is good news & another small victory! We know Smokey's a fighter, so let's pray he kicks butt in Rehab! From: Melissa )He's ready to start the rehab process!!! Yay!

Place: Lazy S Ranch Comments: We bought the place from a man named Gaylon Mayfield. He had named the ranch and put up a big metal sign on the front gate the Lazy G Ranch. We struck the "G" and substituted an "S" and the ranch name was born. And , no, our brand is not ;-). I, also, was hurt by the reference of myself as an "it" and could not follow the line of thought. I try so hard. wah, wah, wah.
Place: 66erville Comments: Dale, was your ranch named The Lazy S before you bought it or did y'all name it? P.S. I can't believe Sandy Mc called you an it.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'll 2nd that quandary. I'm somewhat amazed myself! Must be why she took up guns and target practice. |
