Place: Richardson Comments: As a new year fast approaches, we always hope for new opportunities, better health and a more tolerate and peaceful world. I know the past 3 years have been rough for everyone, so my hope and prayers are for a better 2023 that is much kinder to all of us.
Place: Sachse Comments: MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy Hanukkah to all SOCites. May the new year bring blessings and goodness to each and everyone. It appears that someone may be targeting SOCites and more especially 66ers for hacking. Seems a lot of us have been subjected for a while now. My guess, if your password is related to SOC, consider changing it. I'm just saying...
Place: Richardson Comments: Tried to get everything done before 3pm so I can watch the Cowboys game against the Eagles. Maybe one more thing after game and then get it all together to load up in the morning. Want to wish Jerry & Jack, along with all my SOC '66 group and other SOC Friends, a very Merry Christmas. Let's all pray that 2023 will be a kinder year to all of us as the last 3 certainly have not been good to any of us. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!!!
Place: Richmond Comments: Sandy I am a little slow today. Happy Birthday to my twin. As you may recall, I no longer recognize birthdays. I have anniversaries of my 40th birthday. So thanks to you and Jack who are my longest and dearest friends. Here's wishing many more. I have not posted for a while, but I did see where this past year has had some challenges for you, may next year be better for you. Since I was was so slow with your Birthday wishes, let me early with a great big Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Jerry
Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you Jack! It's always good to still be friends with those you've known since the beginning. I appreciate the B-day wishes and I imagine my brother from another mother will be here shortly. Happy B-day Jerry!! Hope you're safe and warm down there south of Houston and still able to celebrate, albeit at a slower pace than we used to!! Happy B-day!!!
Place: Sachse Comments: December 23rd and Happy Birthday wishes to two good friends who I have had the pleasure of knowing since our days at Lisbon. Sandy Norman Lynn and Jerry Tillery, I wish you a great day and a wonderful year to come.
Place: Cold in Richardson Comments: Well, it's 12-22 almost 8pm and it's 14 degrees. Expecting 9 in the morning. Fire going & heat warming us. At least we aren't iced and snowed in like we were in Feb 2021. The NE is horrible with ice and snow and blizzard conditions. At least here by Saturday it will be OK. Those poor folks in the NE have it bad, especially if you are stuck in an airport! Stay warm and safe. Merry Christmas SOCites. May God bless and keep safe the class of '66. Merry Christmas
Place: McKinney TX Comments: If anyone talks to Karen Melton Davis, could you please tell her the same person who sends me email using Jack Hawkins’ name is now sending similar personal messages to me in Messenger? Nice try bozo!
Place: Richardson, TX (until sunrise tomorrow) Comments: SO THANKFUL for this weekend! It was wonderful to see SOC friends - and it was extra special to have Glynda join us. ❤️ I drove by Gordy Johnson’s house last night. All who live in the Dallas area should see his spectacular decorations; this may be the last year for the display. Thank you, Gordy, for the fabulous display. Today I visited the DFW National Cemetery. Yesterday was Wreaths Across America Day, when volunteers placed wreaths at all the gravesites in all of our country’s national cemeteries. There were many people at DFW today; it was a humbling experience. Love to all.
Place: Kerrville Comments: What do you mean Jack! I thought she graduated from SOC and you were the spouse! 😜 Rusty - you will have to send me your info. We stay in Bayfield every August. We will get in touch with you. hooe everyone’s Thanksgiving was great. Hope that your Christmas is super also. We are leaving on a trip so do not know about computer service. 🧑🎄
Place: Richardson Comments: Jack we enjoyed seeing Glynda as well. I think many of us have had that lonely feeling for awhile. It was really good to get together with the girls and we were so glad Glynda could join us. 😊
Place: Sachse Comments: I want to thank you all for including Glynda. She has been so lonesome. She enjoyed it very much. It was such a treat for her to be with you all. I can not express how much I appreciate you all.
Place: Richardson Comments: The '66 girls had their luncheon today and we had lots of laughs and really enjoyed reconnecting. Always a good time when you can eat, drink and visit with old friends!
Place: Sunny & beautiful in Richardson Comments: Today is Thursday, 12-15. For the first time in a week, there was no fog, no mist, no rain and no clouds. Yea!!! Beautiful sunshine today and it feels so good. Hope all my SOC friends are doing well and looking forward to a blessed Christmas. I feel blessed each day I get up and am able to do a little house cleaning and drive myself to the stores to do errands and shopping. Tomorrow night, Friday, is the big state championship game for SOC. Go Bears.
Place: Richardson Comments: So nice to hear from Rusty. We will most likely have a Mini Get-Together in the Spring. Hopefully you & Tammie will be able to attend. It has been foggy here every morning and I saw on the sports news last night that SOC played in the fog. It was so low on the field they could hardly see a pass! That's why it was a low scoring game of SOC 14 and Argyle 6. It just keeps raining, almost every day. Fog, mist or rain. |
