I know it was 3-24 but I been busy and didn't check-in here. Hope Dru baked you your favorite cake . . . yellow with chocolate icing!
Place: Shady Acres Comments: Jack, how kind of you to note my b-day. It is most appreciated. Sorry I can't make the class party on the 28th but the hours of it coincide exactly with this geezer's daily nap schedule.
Place: 66erville Comments: A shout out to the birthday boy, John Southworth. Happy Birthday, John with wishes for many more. Hope you get a red velvet cake or at least a cupcake to celebrate.

Place: Cypress springs Comments: I am so ready for sunshine! The ice and rain managed to put a big hole in the bridge coming over to our house. We had to make a temporary road coming in the back way. Bobby has been having to talk to people about rebuilding the bridge and road. Do not even want to think about how much that is going to cost.....it is a private road. Sorry you have been sick SNL. Hope you are feeling better now. We have had mom in the hospital for the last week with pneumonia. She is slowly getting better. See you guys at the Mimi!
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm reposting the invite to our upcoming Mini because so many only look at our site every week or so. Please plan to attend, I haven't seen some of you in a long time! I haven't gotten a single request for directions. I guess y'all are confident in your GPS (??) or you remember how to get here from last time. Date: Saturday, March 28, 2015

Place: Sachse Comments: While we know the depth of your loss, we can only compare similar pain. Rod is correct, time will dull the pain. I hope that knowing you are in our thoughts and prayers gives you some comfort.
Place: Oregun Comments: Richard, hang in there, time has a way of easing the pain. I can't imagine what you are going through but you have many friends out here in SOC-land so lean on us when you need to. I too miss you on the GB. Stay strong.
Place: Richardson Comments: Well bless your heart and call me Irish!!! I am thrilled to hear from you because you never returned my calls. We love and miss you Richard because you are a SOC Friend and we stand behind our friends!
Place: Calif. Comments: Happy St. Pat's, and thanks for thinking of me SNL. I'm still not very funny these days. It takes time, I'm told.
Place: Richardson Comments: Jack you amaze me . . . where does your mind come up with this stuff!! Just go ahead and keep them Jack, that's fine with me! Hey, 6 yrs ago in 2009 my Dad passed away on St. Patrick's Day. We bought the house in March of 2008 & moved into it in Aug. We had only been here barely 7 months when he died. But I will always be grateful for all of you in the area who came to my house that Friday night for Family Visitation. Seeing all of your faces really lifted my spirit and made it easier to go to sleep that night. I know I thanked you at the time, but I will always remember how loved you made me feel. Thanks for being such good friends!! Dad was 100% Irish. Seemed appropriate he passed on St. Patrick's Day!! I miss Richard Nance being on here because he always had a funny limerick or two for us. Have a good day & I'm getting excited about seeing everyone at the Mini!
Place: 66erville Comments: I think we should pick up those carpet twigs and save them unit the end of the evening. Then we can put them all together and start a carpet twig ball. This is a project Sandy and Don can do together, will keep them busy for a while and they could work for a world record!
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - thanks for the personal tip. I have some saline spray but only use it when I think about it, but do use my expensive prescription spray twice a day. Beginning today I will use saline 3-4 times a day and see if it warts off the sinus infections. BTW - Mario & Barbara did say early on they were coming to the Mini. They moved in a few blocks from us when they moved back to Dallas. Think they are renting until can decide where they want to live. Well, we had new carpet put in down stairs & all the steps on Saturday, took 8 hrs! 3 of them worked very hard all day and never took a lunch break! It went in the dinning rm, living rm, master bdrm & closet and the short closet under the stairwell. It's like moving Twice! But also everything downstairs is now covered with a layer of carpet dust!! Well, not anymore. We worked hard last night to clean it up and then this morning put all the stuff back in that darn short closet. Man I'm tired, just about did me in. But of course there's still those little twigs of carpet that keep appearing. So when you come to the Mini, if you see some of those darn twigs on the floor . . . just pick 'em up & put 'em in the trash for me, OK?
Place: Lake Tawakoni Comments: Sandy, I used to have the same sinus problems. My family doctor told me to start using OTC Saline spray. Three shots in each nostril 3-4 times daily. He asked me if I ever saw an ENT doctor when we visited all the beaches during the summer. I said no and he said that's because of the salt sea air. That was 9 years ago and I never had a sinus problem since. Doctor Smith
Place: Garland USA Comments: Just checking in and catching up! Wow, have we have enough of winter or what? I am so ready for Spring. Sandy, sorry to hear you've been ill. Hope you are feeling a lot better by now! See you soon! |
