Place: Richardson Comments: We missed you too Shortcake! Do y'all have a home in Kerrville that Bobby is working on? Hope he's not putting walls up in the motorhome!
Place: Kerrville Comments: Missed you all on Saturday but Bobby was in the middle of putting up a wall for a new room and needed to get it done. I heard it was really a great party. You did great getting it organized, as usual SNL. Glad we had a lot of new folks there. Headed back home tomorrow. Bobby has the wall done and next time we come we will paint it. He does such good work. I really feel useless! No comments jack!
Place: Richardson Comments: Interesting Roe. I guess someone found and pawned it! That's why Roy's story is so unique . . . someone dug it up and went to the trouble to track down our website in an effort to locate the owner. There are still good people in this world!! We sure missed you Saturday!
Place: Calif. Comments: I really enjoyed Saturday with all the folks. Had some good conversations with McGee and Fugate, and others. You do a nice job SNL putting this stuff together. Thanks
Place: DeKalb,Tx Comments: I remember when Roy lost his Hi Sc ring , his Mother was so upset, & about the same time I too lost my ring. I later found it in a Pond shop down town Dallas. I lost mine at Beckley-Sanger Gym. Now I have two rings.
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: What a GREAT story. Bet Roy is glad to have his ring back!
Place: Lost '66 ring is recovered! Comments: We have a happy ending to the Lost '66 Ring found in Kiest park. For those who didn't read it the first time, here's a recap. Girl in Houston emails me that a SOC '66 graduation ring has been found in Kiest Park using metal detector. Has the initials of RLG inside. I found only one person with those initials, Roy L. Goodloe. Roy said yes, he'd lost it in late '66 at Kiest Park during a snowball fight. Turns out the girl's boyfriend's dad is who found it. He lives across the street from Kiest Park. I connected Roy with the guy who found it & Roy now has possession of his ring . . . 49 years after losing it! I love a happy ending, don't you!
Place: Richardson Comments: I bet it was great Sammy, especially since Baylor won big time. The Mini was great but the downside was the Rangers lost Sat & on Sun both The Cowboys and Rangers lost! Today is another week . . . Rangers have got to beat Detroit! Again, Thank You to all the 66ers who came to the Mini. It was truly a good time! So good to hug so many friends!
Place: Lake Tawakoni Comments: Sounds like you guys had a blast. Sarah and I did as well. Great weekend of Baylor football and especially with our son and grandson.
Place: Good Time at the Get-Together Comments: Yes it was Everett! Wow, so many people we haven't seen in a long time and one we haven't seen since perhaps graduation? We had the regular gang (except we missed the 3 Karens - Louton, Davis & Hughes) but we also had some attendees that don't get to make it often and one who has never attended. We were thrilled to see Sandy McGee, Mario Fuentes, David Mitchell, Dwight Howard, Cathy Wood Nickols, Richard Nance, Deryl Litchford, Sidney Banz and David Kyle!! It was truly a great Mini with so much camaraderie. I took pics but also we had the pleasure of having Lonnie Harmon form '64 attend and he took lots of photos too. He will probably post on FB but he will also give me his pics on a thumb drive so I will have for my use. Thanks to everyone who attended and made yesterday such a special time!
Place: Frisco Comments: So much fun and fellowship seeing all our classmates from near and far.
Place: Mini Time!!! Comments: Good morning everyone! Just want to remind you that today is our Fall Mini Get-Together. Looking forward to seeing all of you! We have several friends who haven't attended in awhile planning to attend today, so hope the rest of the gang can make it too. Should be a good turnout.+ Hyatt in Richardson - 2:00 to 6:00pm - Bar area NE corner of Hwy 75 & Campbell Rd.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'll definitely miss yours and Sarah's smiling faces Sat!! The weather is gorgeous and looks perfect for DFW and in Waco by the river. Enjoy the game! Sorry about the TV Sam, but as soon as I get there I will have the bar tender put it on Fox 4 as the Rangers are playing an early day game. It starts at Noon! Looking forward to seeing quiet a few old friends I haven't seen in awhile. This Saturday, 9-26, 2 to 6pm at the Hyatt in Richardson.
Place: West Tawakoni Comments: I lost my class ring in 1969 at Lake Lewisville. We were playing beach footballl. I threw a pass to Marvin Mullins and the ring came right off. Searched for hours, but no luck. Will miss you guys at the mini, but if you happen to tune the tv to FSN, Sarah and I will be the oldtimers acting like college kids. Third deck fifty yard line.
Place: Richardson Comments: Geez, that's tough on a pair of newly weds. Loosing everything you had after a year of marriage. Rough beginning but y'all made all these years! Look forward to seeing you again Rick. |
