Place: Calif. Comments: 2 queen beds. I have Thurs-Sunday; $85 first 2 nights, and $104 Sat. night.
Place: Richardson Comments: No No Richard, do not book at a higher rate. I can fix it as there are still rooms. It's complicated but they do have rooms . Give me few minutes and I'll post here when it's fixed. What type room do yo want? King or QN? The Hyatt blocks rooms differently than other hotels I've worked with before. Hyatt puts exact # of rooms per night and specific to a King or Queen. For instance, if you try to book a King for Fri & Sat and they only have Queens available, it will say there aren't any rooms available. It makes it hard to keep the right amount but that's the way they do it. As I type I'm on "hold" with the Hyatt trying to get it fixed. If you have any problems getting a room please send me email sandylynn@sbcglobal.net immediately so I can jump on it. I don't think Hyatt is very efficient with this method but it is what it is.
Place: Calif. Comments: Hotel is running out of rooms at the $85 rate; Thursday/Friday still open, slightly higher for Sat night. Just so you know. Had to phone the reservation.
Place: Calif. Comments: I hate to switch subjects, but I just tried to reserve hotel room; no luck. Says they're sold out. Any thoughts. Still thinking of Karen.

Place: Karen is out of surgery Comments: Mike just called at 8:55pm and Karen is finally out of surgery. Dr. performed quadruple bypass surgery. Dr told him everything went well and she will be out of it the rest of the night. Mike can't see her just yet, but nurse said they'd come get him in a few minutes. Thankful it was a successful surgery, now the long road to recovery. Our prayers were answered, get better soon sweet Karen!
Place: The Woodlands Comments: So very very sad and concerned for our sweet wonderful friend Karen! God bless and heal her, and many prayers for her complete and quick recovery. She and Mike are a wonderful, lovely, and fun couple. We enjoyed every lovely minute with them at the reunion at our table. We love love love you Karen. Place: Dallas, Texas Comments: Sorry to hear the news about Karen. Hopefully she will get passed this and be OK. We all look forward to seeing her in September, healthy and happy!!! I will be praying that God gives her everything she needs to get through this trial.
Place: Karen Davis Comments: Just spoke with Mike Davis, they didn't come get her until 1:30 and then it took another hour and a half before they were ready to start surgery. Surgery started about 3pm. Can be up to 5 hrs. He will call when it's over. Prayers up!!

Place: Karen Davis Comments: I want to give you a little background on how Karen ended up in the ER in Richardson. Mike was out of town in Odessa Fri until Sun evening. Karen didn't feel well Fri. On sat she didn't fell very good but went with her daughter to see her G-dtr perform and afterwards they all went to dinner. she felt bad Sat night, but as a proud G-mom she went to see her G-dtr anyway. She called Mike Sun to say she hadn't been feeling very well but thought she felt a bit better today. He told her to go to one of the Urgent Care type facilities to see what's wrong. She did, but they didn't take Medicare so she left. She called Mike again and after talking with her he said to go immediately to the ER on FM 544 bec something was wrong. It is one of those new type of free-standing ERs we are seeing everywhere. Next thing he knows he's getting a call from the nurse telling him Karen is in an ambulance being taken to Richardson Methodist as she's had a heart attack. He was just this side of Abilene. As you can imagine, he put the pedal to the metal. When he got to the hospital she was in surgery having 2 stints put in the closed artery. Today at 1:00pm she will have open heart surgery. I guess we all think we're invincible, and yes I still think I can pull off a big reunion! ![[rolleyes]](/images/boards/smilies/rolleyes.gif "Roll Eyes - :rolleyes:") ![[crazy]](/images/boards/smilies/crazy.gif "Crazy - :crazy:") God willing I'm trying. I'll let you be the judge of that in September. ![[smile]](/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif "Smile - :)") The point I'm making is that we all have to realize our limitations and not take the little things for granite. I'm thankful Mike convinced Karen to go to the ER and not wait for him to get back. She will be in my prayers today as will the Dr and the medical staff that assist him.
Place: Karen Davis Update Comments: Mike called & heart surgery scheduled for tomorrow, 5-24, at 1:00pm. They will need to repair some damage done to the lower part of the heart and take care of the clogged arteries. He will call when she is out of surgery. Please include Karen in your prayers tonight. Place: Lake Tawakoni Comments: Sarah and I add Karen and Mike to our prayer list. It seems to grow daily, but we know that Karen is in God's hands now and we will continue to pray for her health and upcoming surgery. |
