Place: Melissa Comments: Great news. Sandy! Give Don our best!
Place: Richardson Comments: We're back from post-op visit after Don's surgery on 2nd eye. Both Don & the Dr. are very please with how well his first eye has done and hoping the 2nd will be as good. The 2nd eye, his left eye, was a big challenge for the Dr. Back in 90 or 91 he had RK surgery on his eyes and as the years have progressed it has taken a toll on his vision. RK is where they make cuts on your eyes to produce better vision. Unfortunately the left eye had many cuts and that has made it a challenge to get him better vision in that eye. Next week all the restrictions wil be lifted and he can resume normal activities. We will have a 1 week, 1 month and 3 month FU visit. This Dr. is really good because he has taken a lot of time and worked very diligently to give Don good vision. This wasn't just your standard cataract surgery. The worst is over and we're looking forward to him having good eye sight for the rest of his life.
Place: 66erville Comments: The Tillerys are living in Rancho Cinco which is west-southwest of Houston. They and their "kids" are high and dry. Jerry is getting out all the late filers and doing extensions from tax season and told me getting to the office has been a challenge since some of the streets on his regular route are flooded.
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Don't worry SNL understood all your abbreviation! Must be all that shorthand from SOC! Hope Don is better. Know all this boat-floating weather does not help.
Place: Melissa TX Comments: This rain is getting old here and for our friends to the south it is really serious. Has anyone heard from Annette Franjie or Mary Goins? I know they are both in the Houston area. SNL/Jack, where does Jerry Tillery call home? If you all hear anything from them, please let us know. Hoping they are all safe. Sorry to hear about Jack Sanders. I knew he wasn't well but had no idea it was that serious. Karen, hope your mother is okay as well.
Place: Richardson Comments: Sorry Richard, when I'm stressed I revert back to my old SW Bell days shorthand. yes Dr = doctor. FU = follow-up. Tmo = tomorrow and Tda = today. Hope this helps Grandpa. Unfortunately I'm about 6 months older than you! LOL
Place: Calif. Comments: SNL, I understood "Dr"...assuming that's "doctor". TMO, and FU...no idea. I must be older than you. Ran across a "FML" on another post....again, no idea.
Place: Richardson Comments: Jack's right - Our AT&T U-verse which has our TV, Internet & landline all went out along with power at 9:40pm Sunday. Got it back Tue mrng, today it all went out again for several hours. I'm so sick of calling AT&T and getting really bad excuses (although pretty creative). Now it's because "The AT&T tower in Texas is broke". I kid you not, she actually told me those exact words. I guess that means AT&T has one tower in all of TX and it is broke. U-verse doesn't even run thru "towers". Anyway, our AT&T relationship is kinda like a high school romance . . . a little rocky and about to end badly. To make matters worse, my poor baby had eye surgery early Monday. Tue was a FU visit and today was surgery on his other eye. Tmo is Fu visit. He has really bad eyes with some special issues which made it a difficult cataract surgery but the Dr believes it was successful and so far so good. Time will tell. So if you don't reach me by pho or em it's bec it's not working!! But keep trying as the service comes and goes. Later, I got to go check on Don.
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Just swam back to the lake from Kerrville! Between the rain and the fog it took even longer to get home. Heading for Dallas today to check on Mom...she is not doing well and needs everyone's prayers. Sometimes she knows us sometimes not. For a week she would not talk to any of us! The list goes on. Just keep us in your prayers please.
Place: Sachse Comments: FYI ALL: SNL is off line for a few days. Should be back on line in a couple of days.
Place: DeKalb Comments: Took a side trip headed toward Austin stopped in to see Jack Sanders. He is recovering from throat cancer, lost a lot of weight & having trouble eating. He needs your prayers for speedy recovery. Jack still lives in China Springs, Tx close to Waco.
Place: bigD Comments: SNL I talked to my friend Jeff Robinson, we had dinner together Saturday. His dad James Robinson died in 2007. I thought you might want to add his name to the memoriam page. James taught metal shop at SOC.
Place: Calif. Comments: ...and now the rain. You guys have sure miffed Mother Nature for some reason.
Place: Dallas Comments: I was at Chips last night and.the manager told me not only was Dennis Nance working there a little, but he was also having serious surgery tomorrow morning. It is some type of tumor around his neck which sounds like Hodgkins or non-Hodkins either are deadly. Could you find out hospital if it is a over nighters?
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, Wylie is a disaster. I'm just thankful we didn't have any broken windows with hail flying inside and we're hoping our roof will hold up until we can find a good roofer and get it replaced. Lots of details to work out. |
