So far 28 minutes & counting. . . .PLEASE, don't attempt to make room reservation right now! Someone at Hyatt has messed up our Rate Code and it's gone! Just as soon as I get this fixed I'll post another note. Wait until I get it corrected. Sorry! Thank you.

Place: Richardson Comments: Sorry Carol & Karen. NO, each of you will get the $85 rate. I was unaware there was a problem. I probably can't get our representative until Monday morning but rest assured everyone will get $84 up until it closes on 8-23. Carol - I will get yours fixed and Karen wait until Monday afternoon and try again after I fix it. Apparently she's not doing her job but it'll be fine once I speak with her. Thanks for saying something.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Sandy and Karen - I made my reservation today by phone. I could not get the $85 rate but did get a $94 rate for a king bed. The hotel representative said that the rate could go back to $85 if "our representative" renegotiated the number of rooms that will be needed. I'm pretty sure that the person with whom I was speaking was not in the Garland location, though, so I'm not putting much faith in that. $94 isn't a bad rate, though. Love ya both - Carol
Place: Sachse Comments: Well I guess they are already out of rooms at the Hyatt Place in Garland. I tried to reserve a room from the link on the guestbook but it says they are either sold out for those dates or they are not taking reservations yet. As I know many have already made reservations, it must not be that they are not taking reservations yet. I am so disappointed. Sandy, have you heard anything about rooms already being gone for those dates?
Place: Richardson Comments: FYI - For those who have sent in your registration, I go to the bank once a week to deposit them. Usually on Saturday. I will also update the "Who's Attending" page on our website. C'mon gang, I know you received the invite . . . let's get those registration forms filled out and mailed. I use your registration form to update your info. If you no longer have a certain pho # please show "none" so I can remove it. Thanks!
Place: Richardson Comments: This afternoon I created a "Who's Attending" page on the website. It's a sub page under the "50th Reunion" tab. It will list who's attending as the registration forms come in. When you fill out the form be sure to list things as you want them to appear in the directory. I update the info on each form received. The items having the most change are Home # ( many are gone) and Work # ( those are gone too). We're off to a good start . . . get those registration forms in the mail and make your room reservations! Hope to "See You In September" !
Place: Richardson Comments: Yippee!! Got the 1st registration forms yesterday for the reunion! Richard Carter, Louis Langford & Marilou Staniec. They just went out May 5th and already getting some back. I'll be adding a drop down pg to the site with names of those attending so we can see who all will be there in advance. Place: Richardson Comments: Got the 1st "Return to Sender" invite back in the mail Saturday. it was for Mike Jacks. USPS had yellow sticker giving new address but said forwarding time expired. I readdressed and sent it back out tda.
Place: Richardson Comments: Got a surprise call from Jerry Peters today. He & his twin brother , Gerry, are planning to attend the 50th. They haven't been since about the 25th and looking forward to seeing everyone.

Place: Lake Tawakoni Comments: SNL, thanks about Uncle Julio's. It's my time of the year for allergies to riddle my body. Been sick since this past Monday. Head about to explode. Need to get away from East Texas next year. Maybe Alaska?
Place: Richardson Comments: Hey, congratulations to you & Mike on 7 years of marriage. Enjoy New Braunfels! Last evening all 395 50th Reunion invites went out in the mail. Be looking for them in your mailbox. Hooray, celebrate, celebrate!! Hope to see several of you at Uncle Julio's at 4:30pm today to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and invites going out! It's located on N. Dallas Tollway & Keller Springs.
Place: at work Comments: Thanks Sandy for the heads up about Uncle Julio's. After I get off work this evening, I have to do laundry and pack for tomorrow's "anniversary trip" to New Braunfels, so we will have to take a rain check on those margaritas. Everybody have fun and drink one for us. |
