Place: Lake Tawakoni Comments: We mailed our registration form and check yesterday. Wanted to get in the drawing for a free night's stay. Nice incentive to get it in early. We are seeing Marvin and Shirley Mullins, Class Of '67 this evening and have their forms as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone, especially those who have never attended or been a long time since then. Has anyone heard from Janie Jones Gann?
Place: Richardson Comments: So far thru Wed, 5 more registrations have come in. Oddly enough there are quiet a few who made room reservations but haven't sent their forms in yet. But, the invites have only been in the mail 2 weeks today, so I feel sure lots more will be coming in during e next few weeks. Especially from those who have already reserved their room. Remember - - If you have any trouble getting a room with our $85 rate either via the link or pho, please contact me directly. I can get it fixed quickly. Hyatt did not hesitate at all to changed the rate on the 2 people who were booked at a higher rate. In today's world of computers, "stuff" happens all the time. It's just not the good old days of personal people service. But they are being very cooperative and I don't foresee any major problems. Place: Richardson Comments: Well darn, Odor got 8 game suspension. I was hoping for 4, no more than 5. But in baseball 8 games is a drop in the bucket, unlike the NFL. They haven't given the rest of the suspensions yet. Not sorry Odor clocked Bautista because Jose is just too cocky and a narcissist. Can only imagine what it will be if we should play Blue Jay's in ALDS!

Place: Richardson Comments: Shirley - we don't send out invitations to people outside our class. However, I put a link on our website on the 50th Reunion page that has the invitation and another link that has the Registration form and the full reunion info sheet. Go to the bottom of this GB and click on the Homepage. Then 50th Reunion page. You should be able to click each image and print out everything that was mailed to the 66ers. Hope this helps. OK 66ers and friends - - Let's get those registration forms & checks in the mail. If anyone has any problem with getting a room, whether it's via the link or via the phone, PLEASE contact me directly as soon as possible. It means there aren't enough rooms in the SOC Block. I can get it fixed but need to know about it. Thanks so much.

Place: Richardson Comments: Yes indeed Richard - the Hyatt link and the reservation line are now up & running correctly! ![[thumb]](/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif "Thumb - :thumb:") It's been a battle this morning and they had to call our rep at home to get it fixed. So please, go into our site & the link for the Hyatt is ready to go again. All you do is select the dates and click "check availability" and it will pop up with the $85 rate. Of course then you'll need a credit card. Thanks for your patience and start making reservations & sending in the registration forms.

So far 28 minutes & counting. . . .PLEASE, don't attempt to make room reservation right now! Someone at Hyatt has messed up our Rate Code and it's gone! Just as soon as I get this fixed I'll post another note. Wait until I get it corrected. Sorry! Thank you.

Place: Richardson Comments: Sorry Carol & Karen. NO, each of you will get the $85 rate. I was unaware there was a problem. I probably can't get our representative until Monday morning but rest assured everyone will get $84 up until it closes on 8-23. Carol - I will get yours fixed and Karen wait until Monday afternoon and try again after I fix it. Apparently she's not doing her job but it'll be fine once I speak with her. Thanks for saying something.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Sandy and Karen - I made my reservation today by phone. I could not get the $85 rate but did get a $94 rate for a king bed. The hotel representative said that the rate could go back to $85 if "our representative" renegotiated the number of rooms that will be needed. I'm pretty sure that the person with whom I was speaking was not in the Garland location, though, so I'm not putting much faith in that. $94 isn't a bad rate, though. Love ya both - Carol
Place: Sachse Comments: Well I guess they are already out of rooms at the Hyatt Place in Garland. I tried to reserve a room from the link on the guestbook but it says they are either sold out for those dates or they are not taking reservations yet. As I know many have already made reservations, it must not be that they are not taking reservations yet. I am so disappointed. Sandy, have you heard anything about rooms already being gone for those dates? |
